It's ciminal we haven't seen Green Goblin, Doc Oct and many more in the MCU. I try my hand at casting these classic spiderman foes for the marvel cinematic universe. I Fan cast Green Goblin, Doc Oct, Harry Osborn, Sandman and J. Jonah Jameson.

Fun fact: In Spiderman (2002) Hugh Jackman revealed that he was supposed to have a brief cameo as Wolverine. Jackman actually showed up in New York to film the scene, but the entire plan was scrapped when the crew couldn't get access to the Wolverine costume from X-Men (2000).
So couldn't they just buy a pair of jeans and a white tank top from the nearest thrift store.

For me Jason Isaacs is Norman Osborn, every role hes every played is essentially an audition for Norman, he has this uneasy dominant gravity about his presence
Honestly I came very close to doing it (actually have a photoshop of him in the role) and was going to credit you for the idea but didn’t wanna double dip after casting him as magneto.

@@BryanSeeker I agree with the recast of John C. McGinley as J Jonah Jameson, but I would also choose Michael Shannon as J Jonah Jameson. He's got some deep voice, and the look on his anger. So therefore, he would fit in this role for sure.

As soon as you said "a little bit of soul peeking through", I knew exactly where you were going with it. I just finished watching Scrubs, and John C. McGinley is just fantastic and now I want him to be in everything. Think he'd be a great J. Jonah Jameson - if you want him to be more over the top and cartoony in the role, he's absolutely able to do it, but he could also take a more grounded, serious approach if that's what they ask for.
Since "The Suicide Squad" just got released, could you do a casting for members that we might see in future movies? Or members that you would want to see?

@@osmanyousif7849 I always thought Rainn Wilson as Clock King. Obviously he’s good at comedy but he can bring really subtle nuance and depth to characters that would be really easy to play as one dimensional

Mark Hamill as Doc Ock is the most beautiful thing I've ever watched!
The casting for Green Goblin/Norman Osborn is brilliant. But I kinda want that over the top ghoulish design. Villains like Mysterio, JackO'Lantern, and Green Goblin always have that supernatural look and I want the goblin to stand out. Vulture, Dr. Octopus, and most likely the Rhino will all be covered in tech but Goblin could bring that spine-chilling and monstrous atmosphere.
So, what about - to set him apart from BOTH the "traditional" comics Green Goblin AND the Raimi tech-based Goblin - going with an "Ultimate Spider-Man" look for the character, where he's this horrible hulking demonic beast that literally breathes fire? We saw a LITTLE BIT of that Goblin in "Into the Spider-Verse", but imagine it with MCU production values and an actor who can really bring the gravitas of how haunted and traumatized Ultimate Norman Osborn really is.
@@ShatteredPsyche I doubt that would happen but it would be incredible. I remember the terrifying transformation of the Hulk in the first Avengers movie. Black Widow running for her life while Hulk destroys everything around him. Now I'm imagining that scene with a demonic Goblin monster with fire and horns. It would give the entire audience nightmares.
@@ShatteredPsyche Actually now that I think about it Marvel phase one had a lot of ultimate universe elements. Perhaps if Spider-Man was brought into the MCU earlier we could've had that monstrous creature.
@@DrOttoEdits Definitely! They seem to have stopped borrowing QUITE as heavily from the Ultimate Universe these days, so I do think you're right that it's unfortunately pretty unlikely, but I think if they DID go that direction it would be awesome. They've shown in the past, with the Hulk moment as you mentioned as well as some of the Mysterio stuff in Far From Home, that they're damn good at doing horror when they want to, so I think an Ultimate Goblin could honestly be the stuff of nightmares if handled correctly.
I just need Andrew Scott as a villain in every project. The man is absolutely brilliant!
His portrayal of Moriarty reminds me of the Joker.

Bryan Cranston could possibly make a good J Jonah Jameson.
If you've seen Gubz video on the Spider-Man villains, he actually had one idea that I really like. Since the DCEU brought in Simmons to play Jim Gordon, it would be ironic to bring in former Jim Gordon actor Gary Oldman into the role. I feel like Oldman would be kind of under-utilized in the role, but I like the irony.
This is actually a great idea, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to disassociate Bryan Cranston from Walter White.

Charlie Rowe should've been cast as Peter Parker. He's my personal fan cast. Don't get me wrong, I like Tom Holland but Charlie is on another level. He looks exactly like spectacular Spider-Man.

Jared Harris was my choice as well, and I think it’s a great one. However, he’s gonna be in the Morbius movie, which is possibly canon to the MCU. Who else would you consider in the role?

Adrian Toomes is strongly connected to Tony Stark and the MCU as a whole, TBH it would be a stupid decision for Sony to have a specific MCU/SONY character just be a Sony character
If you've seen "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," and seen his performance as Humma Kavula, then you know that John Malkovich would be great as Doc Oc. He plays a bitter, obsessed cyborg, and I loved what he brought to the role with his sinister tone and cadence.
Bryan, who should play the rebels character in live action for the Ahsoka series? I think Mena Massoud was a good choice for Ezra. Btw I think Melissa Barrera would be perfect for Sabine.

Personally, I think that there is no one else who could play Norman Osborn/Green Goblin/Iron Patriot other than Willem Defoe is Sam Witwer. He voiced Darth Maul and made the character even more likable. He played Mr Hyde in Once Upon A Time and made him very menacing. He can make His character calm and collected (Like Norman) and then just outright explode with anger and rage the next. So in my opinion there is no better choice to replace Defoe than Sam Witwer!
For sure you should do a casting for kraven, chameleon, tombstone, hammerhead, madame web, hobgoblin, the smythes, hydro man and molten man,

Harrison Osterfield would be amazing for Harry Osborn. Best Friends with Tom Holland irl so they don't have to fake the friendship between them. They've been friends since they've been children.
I didn't know about that actor so at first it sounded like a joke. Like "hey, you know who'd make a great Peter Parker? Peterson Parkfield."

Great video. For future ideas, can you do your take on live action Hanna-Barbara TV series like Jetsons, Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and a proper cast for Scooby Doo? But for Scooby-Doo, can you do 2 versions? One where they gang is in high school (because why would they be called “meddling kids” if they’re adults) and one with them in their late 40s.
This will be so if the creators want them in they’re teens, they should be similar in their original 1969 versions or similar to the series Mystery Incorporated. Or if they’re adults, it can be similar to their versions like in the first 4 direct-to-video films and the series What’s New Scooby-Doo.
Don't forget Jonny Quest.
Caleb Landry Jones as Shaggy, Jane Levvy as Velma, Bobby Lockwood as Freddy, Karen Gillian as Daphne. They're a group of gifted actors who fit the roles, and they range in age from twenty-eight to thirty-three so they're all in the same territory in terms of age. The only outlier is my choice for Scooby-Doo himself, Toby Kebble of "Planet of the Apes," who is thirty-nine. If we got an adult Scooby Gang, I'd want them to be open about Shaggy being a stoner, and I'd like them to explore the relationship between Velma and Shaggy more, since it's usually glossed over. I'd also like Fred's buffoonery to be tuned down a bit, the guys a leader and should be at least competent. As far as their villains go, I can only think of Crispin Glover as the Ghost of Ebenezer Crab, maybe Willem Dafoe as The Creeper, and Kate Blanchett for Sarah Ravencroft. If you want the MAIN villain, then we obviously need Jack E Haley's voice to come out of Scrappy lol. Seriously though, if we got Scrappy-Doo, idk who would play him

You're seeing jk simmons as mcu Jameson as the casting director giving up, but i see it as an homage to the raimi films. Plus, simmons hasn't stopped, he's voiced Jameson in the recent Disney cartoons and has wanted to return to do a live action version since amazing spiderman 1

I think Peter Stromare (Constantine, The Lost World: Jurassic Park) could ABSOLUTELY NAIL the role of Norman Osborn. That being said, someone who can play both Norman Osborn AND Green Goblin would be Christian Bale. Although he is known now as Batman, I believe casting him in this film could rejuvenate his career as a brilliant yet maniacal intellect, as he was in American Psycho.
Edit: Sheit, I just remembered he will be in Thor: Love and Thunder

I really love your choice for J. Jonah Jameson. I think another interesting approach though would be to get Ed Asner to play him. Asner, has already played the role in Spider-Man: the animated series. Which I think he did a really great job in show and I think could be interesting to see him portray the character once more.

You should do a recasting for a series of unfortunate events
I wanna see him introduced to these old version of the villains. Go back to his universe, find the same people, but different actors, and try to stop them becoming villains, but inadvertently makes them into villains one by one but different. Character development, 'he can't fix everything'. Like have the old goblin be the suit in no way home, but when spidey goes back home he ends up making him into a monster.
And I like Mark Hamill as like a mentor to Peter.... the game. Basically do what the game did. Almost like the Grandpa Pete never had

Great castings, Bryan. My casting for Green Goblin would be Tom Cavanaugh, he's shown in The Flash that he checks all the boxes we need for an MCU Norman Osborn; he can play the mentor role really well; as seen in his performance as Harrison Wells but can also play the sinister, menacing side of the character; like with Reverse-Flash. Plus, it helps that he kind of looks like the character and could probably get in even better condition for the role. So Tom Cavanaugh as Green Goblin.

Other Spider-Man villains I'd love to see you cast are lizard, electro, rhino, venom, carnage, shriek, vulture, shocker, mysterio, cyclone, hydroman, molten man, big wheel, blue streak, rocket racer, arcade, white rabbit, overdrive, mr negative, spot, vermin, iguana, kraven the hunter, calypso, got, the enforcers, the sinister six and the inheritors

I know you're going with a much more adult version of Eddie Brock/Venom but I think Justin Prentice (Bryce Walker from 13 Reasons Why) would make a great Venom. He can play the angry and unappreciated Eddie who has a chip on his shoulder to the devious villain while teamed with the Symbiote.

I don't think this is the best casting, but I think Jack black can play a very fun version of otctavius, hell he showed he can pull off more serious lines in psychonauts 2. Maybe not in a live action, but at least as a cameo in the spiderverse sequel or something
I have another alternate Doc Ock: Benedict Cumberbatch with his natural accent. It would also be a nice nod to Spiderman 2

Harry Osborne: Charlie Roe (I tried to pick a different choice but I couldn’t)
Doc Ock: Kevin Spacey (He always plays a fantastic villain)
Sandman: John Cena (He looks exactly like Sandman)
J. Jonah Jameson: Gary Oldman (If Jameson can play Gordon, why can’t Gordon play Jameson?)
