I love that I can start the video to give my dogs some background noise while I'm out for a 10 mile run and return in time for your post run thoughts 😂
I just recently burnt out for too much running. 17 years of progressive running, now many 85km week. No easy weeks after recovering from RSV flu that prevented my record marathon. I believe U do easy weeks, because every body burns out if too run hungry. To me, it never happened before, now i know better.
Please do an Asics Novablast 5 vs NB Rebel v4 vs Adidas Evo SL. When you do, please advise on the toe box width of the Adidas Evo SL. Great Indepth reviews you are doing.
Currently nursing a popliteus muscle injury on both knees for months now, been reducing mileage and reducing the speed, hoping to get better by next year to start 2025 with a bang! Watching your videos to get hyped up and keep motivated to get the miles in (or kilometers for where I’m at). And with the hobby joggers cap coming, I’ll be more hyped up! Been following you since the vomero 17 preview & market analysis video and super happy to see you grow and being part of the journey. Keep striving man and do what you do 🔥 clicked for the shoes but stayed for your personality and grit
How does it compare to the SL2? UA-camrs say this feels "more premium." What does that even mean? You're the only person not hyping this, so I trust your opinion. Hope you can answer.
The VP of Product at Adidas indicated that the foam in the EVO SL is closer in formulation to the lightstrike pro in the adios pro 3 but admitted it isn’t quite the same. I think it was in a BITR interview. Something in the manufacturing process allows them to inject more/less air into the foam which impacts density. Also I think it’s technically a mid-foot nylon shank and not a full length plate
You should come to NorCal. Rad-Life vegan food and the tallest, biggest, oldest trees in the world reside here. Redwoods have to be me favorite.oceanlll pacific ocean as well.
I'm not mad or motivated by planet eating mansions. Only thing maddening is the planet eating by the rich. Another reason I love philosophy. People are shallow and vapid that base their worth on antithetical to democracy plastic brains consumerism. You can't have infinite growth on a finite planet. Corporations make their wealth off the backs of blood diamond, sweatshop, abused labors and animals exploitation. There's statistics showing families from these neighborhoods who put their kids through elite schools like how Trump was put and paid through them grow up rich and ghettos like the sex slave towns in India or anywhere else you're wayyy more statistically likely ending up there. I grew up ghetto and abused and live comfortably now no complaints on wanting more more more, but realize it's not possible or sustainable for everyone in the world to live like kings and queens. It's not that people are jealous of others pie and trinkets, that's typically and straw man. I mean there probably are people who are jealous and just want more status symbol vapid garbage you can't take to the grave, but not all are so self centered entitled.
wow, the review I've been waiting for! super excited to watch this 1h52min movie about the Evo SL. Other people had covered the shoe already but I was not moved to watch them as I I wanted to hear how Yowana will find this beauty. now let's have breakfast and indulge into it.
Over one hour and 52 minutes 😍🔥 I‘m really like that kind of length videos of yours 🥰 A good film like footage to watch after work. Right now is currently 6:18 am and work begins for me at 7:00 am 💪🙌 So I‘m back at like 3:00 pm. I‘m hyped dude 😃🔥
Pulled my left hamstring doing intervals 😢 haven’t ran in a week. Trying not to be depressed over it . But getting joy from your reviews. Can’t wait to get back out there running again
Arc'teryx Venta Mittens are my favorite winter gear! If you really need, you can put light gloves under them. But they are perfect on their own - if you get too warm you can spread your fingers out and they cool down.
Yowana, a tip my HS coach who ran at Adams State in Colorado gave me was to wear wool socks/mittens for colder weather. The material acts as a thick insulator for sensitive parts of the body. Much cheaper and better alternative IMO to many of the modern day running gloves. Hope this helps, stay safe out there man!
Yowana, the non-Lightstrike Pro feeling you're getting, could it be due to the lack of propulsive energy rods? Now that you've mentioned it, I don't think Adidas has ever released a shoe with a full slab of Lightstrike Pro without stuffing in the energy rods in the midsole as well
Another great drop! You need to get some merino wool running clothes, Yowana! Smartwool, Icebreaker, Tracksmith (lots on sale right now). Best gloves for your temps are either the Smartwool "Active Fleece Wind Glove," good down to upper 20s/low 30s; for temps in 40s/upper 30s Smartwool "Thermal Merino Glove," thin, but really work if it isn't too cold (my hands are always cold after October, here in the upper Midwest); for temps in the 20s down to about 10 if high wind and snowing w/o sun, Outdoor Research Gore-tex Mitts; single digits and negative temps, wear the "Thermal Merino Glove" (really like a liner glove) INSIDE the OR Gore-tex mitts. No reason to be cold on the run!
Still trying to catch a pair of these. I just did a run in Boise, Idaho. 36 degrees, definitely had my fingers frozen. I couldn’t thug it out for a long run. Good work
I enjoyed that video a lot.... ....and as far as i am concerned you checked the first box on my predictions with a 3:30 and a mile less than 50k, we know, you could have easily put a little more juice into the last 5 miles to get under 3:30 for the full 50k.......but, this was not a race, this was a run to prepare you for a race, so staying smart was the way to do it
I just bought this in the black colorway and I might even get a better fit going down a full size. So much room at the forefoot for me comparing to my takumi sen 8. Early reaction is that it feels like the superblast 1 ( don’t have the sb2) but with a much better rocker geometry.
Newbie runner here, 74kgs 5’10 lean, using the 1080v12s for walking and got into the hobby because of it too. Bought the Boston 12 yesterday for 90 USD and I can’t just go wrong with that price. It’s a little firm for walking but I haven’t ran on it yet. How do you think it compares to the EVO SL?
Sorry to disappoint about California but it was 44 degrees on my way to work today. I've biked on many days in the low 40's and high 30's. Best I've got is merino glove liners with ski gloves or heavy mittens. It's still not enough on the bike but OK for running 🥶.
WAAAAYYY to go Yowana!!! Curious if you are planning to practice fueling with real food during your L runs as is common in Ultras? Or stick to gels for training and the race?
Yeah it's a big difference! Usually they are within 1 to 5 grams and the worst offenders are 10 grams apart. There's no one shoe that's typically heavier on left vs right
Word of advice to people like myself on the app, just because you can get some brooks shoes there doesnt mean you have to be "market is a device for transferring from the impatient to the patient" Warren Buffet maxing, it's fine to think about your major league starting lineup, you don't have to make sure you have the most stacked single A farm team as well.
Adidas is very smart with the marketing of this shoe. They see how running is very popular now, almost like an aesthetic thing. Creating a premium trainer that doubles as a lifestyle shoe is going to crush the market. Now think Nike is going to do the same with the Pegasus premium but we all know how Nike likes to price things 😂
@@supwellfacts! They definitely took an air max upper from 10 years ago and put some premium race foam under it😂 the funny thing is that I still like it😂 would love to see if it could actually hold up to some real mileage.
looks like I am going to have to buy the 10.5, and 11, to see which fits better.. did the same with the superblast 2.., stuck with the 10.5.. while I wear 11, in most everything else.., except the On Cloudeclipse .. interesting
@@supwell seconded! I got these gloves on sale for 25ish dollars. Extremely comfortable and adequately warm. Also got that key pocket on the palm portion which is neat. Probably fits a maurten gel too
I’m between this shoe and the Nike Gloom Fly Brix for long speed sessions. The Nike looks better for that purpose, but this is such a good looking shoe.
Hey, I heard you mention South Africa :-) So, seems we have this shoe available here already now and it's already sold out in my size! Looking forward to getting my hands on a pair when Adidas gets more stock. By the way, I just couldn't get to enjoy the SL2, but the Boston 12 is fantastic - I have four pairs and two Pro 3s. And now I'm broke hahaha
Great video today..these are my favorite kind of runs..I always like the trail races that are 25k and up..they really build endurance and strength..we don't have many anymore..suspect the costs and regulations shot them down and most runners prefer running on the road..a great test for the shoe..for me most go flat before 10mi..any shoe that stands up is worth a look..I chuckled about you being hungry after a long run..I usually want to eat everything in site and drink almost nonstop, even water ,which I despise..the only exception is after long races..I really can't eat and even the smell turns my stomach for a couple hours after a hard race..I just want to stretch out and rest and put on some warm dry clothes..I have tried many combinations of gels and snacks during races, but they all cause GI issues or I can feel my legs start feeling sluggish once the glucose starts kicking in..my goal for this winter is to find some combination that works for long races..keep on keeping on and the 50 should be fun..
Man, a peek at the Supwell HQ with the diplomas and packing of orders...goodluck brother! I will be here watching as you progress with the business and all. Also happy to learn that the current Supwell users will be grandfathered in with the same membership. On another note, not a hypebeast but I'm really itching to get these because they look nice 😂 Would you say these are good for walking/all day wear? Is the stability the same or around the same as an 860v14?
Thank you! And they're fine for walking around but nowhere near as comfortable as other daily trainers. I would rather take the Ultraboost or Prima from adidas for walking over these. Or a cushioned comfort shoe like brooks Ghost max, Saucony hurricane, new balance 1080/more. These aren't uncomfortable but def more of a speed running shoe than a walking shoe
Running gloves currently doing well for me - Rab stretch knit gloves ( I’ll post what they look like on supwell) All the dry fit gloves don’t seem to keep my hands very warm at all during exercise so these might be worth a go!
Hopefully with the December drop I might be able to pick a pair up, so many pairs up on StockX or EBay at way overinflated prices over £300 for pairs so ridiculous
Adidas doesnt ship to puerto rico and we are a us territory

How does it compare to the SL2? UA-camrs say this feels "more premium." What does that even mean? You're the only person not hyping this, so I trust your opinion. Hope you can answer.
More premium meaning you can tell the foam feels nicer under foot. Sometimes that mean the upper feels nicer too. Premium = expensive (nice) materials
Finally the Evo SL review I’ve been waiting for!🔥🔥🔥
You know i'm so hyped for this review! Let's go! 🔥🔥🔥

I didn't anticipate the hype but I had thought about how Adidas could improve the SL2 and Adidas was like, "hold my non-alcoholic beer🍺."😂
My man here is now doing ultras for dailies 🎉🎉🎉
This and the SB2 might be the most hyped shoe and as an adidas fan I’m here for it !
Almost 2 hour vid... done! Easy! It's like time flies when watching your shoe reviews

you will love the adios pro 4, got them from adidas and that thing is insane

Glad to get your thoughts on this one and NO burnt bagels today!
It might be cold but as long as the sun is out! Great vid

Reaction to the cold is hilarious, 40 is marathon PR weather. But def tights and gloves weather
40 is pretty damn nice assuming no wind. 45 is the sweet spot for shorts/tshirt

Its the same formula of the Pro 3 and it feels exactly like it minus the pop from the plate and not as stiff.

$120 vs $150… I’m guessing spend the extra $30
$130*
