The field is leveled. Now that NATO tanks have reliable hull armor with the addition of spall liners, it makes the weakness of USSR top tier tank that much more noticable. The only tank with spall liners in the ussr tech tree is the T90M and it's objectively WORSE than all of its equivalent rivals.
Edit: Good players just figured that NATO tank is better in almost all metrics. So they switched @@BrazilianSoldier

Call me a meta slave but I just couldn't take it anymore and started grinding Sweden last spring. I've finished building a 10.3 ground lineup few weeks ago and it's amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on those Strv 122s. Quality of gameplay is so much better on Sweden when you don't have a whole bunch of braindead XM-1s, KVTs, Wolfpacks and A-10As on your team. Things are about to get worse with the addition of hairy Leopard 2A4 next update but hopefully I will be at 11.7-12.7 when that drops.

Tell me about it. I love the Type 81 but I've struggled to get it to lock helicopters outside of 4km. It's ridiculous. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but it makes me mad.

@@SprayandPrayman22 the thing with helis is that they have a modification specifically for this purpose. The shield exhaust. Idk if other helis besides russian ones get it, but i did notice that without it, i got locked on further away than if i had that equipped. Logically, it does make some sense, it reduces the heat signature of the engines, so it makes it more difficult for the seeker to see the engines.

Premium players may have made the winrates go down but they werent the problem with USA, the Abrams is shit compared to almost every other MBT it faces due to its horrendous armo; thats the actual reason. Unfortunately there's nothing Gaijin can really do to make it better beyond giving US crews modeled flak jackets and modeling the turret basket in the vehicle to absorb spall a little.

It’s both the US tanks AND players, more players than tanks, but the tanks aren’t helping the issue. Any US heavy game is 25% minimum 1-3 deaths no kills leavers(Normally 40-50%) on my experience, and sometimes all the way up to like 50-75%.
The Abrams has its problems that need rectifying, but I’d take it over French and Italian tanks in a second as well as Israeli.
It’s the players and the tanks. I say this as a U.S. main vending Russia with a completely premium bought and 292 10.0 lineup.
Abrams are equipped with ceramic composite skirts and add-on armor that can stop all APFSDS rounds except for Leo2a6’s. Abrams are also equipped with spall liner. Gaijin just doesn’t want western tech to win is the problem.
@@Aidan-fw1xrit doesnt have spall liner irl but it seems likely that it does have DU armor on the hull and sideskirts
DU on the hull and forward side skirts would help, so would modeling the turret ring the correct (smaller) size and giving it the actual 250-300mm of overlapping steel it has irl. its safe to assume that irl the armor is somewhat more effective than in game but it does lack a spall liner.
Drone Scouting should give at least some amounts of points... I dunno, maybe 1/5 of the kill if something in the vicinity selected dies? Maybe more people would use it for a change, and actually be helpful for some teams.
For fucking real, I love helping out teams with my drone, just sucks when you are the reason everyone is winning but get fuck all in return for it.
@@PolaroidPopsicle Yep! It feels really unrewarding when you finish a game in which you helped a lot - but ended up with super low score and very little gain. It's like - Gaijin forgot that people need to grind in their game.
Such ability would give reason to spawn strike drones as well and give them an actual use.
There is a way you can but you aren't that effective as the result and it's much more work. If you are in drone ping the target and then swap back to light tank and you can scout on your own ping through obstacles and then swap back to drone.
The amount of times I've scouted for half the match and then talked down on that same match because I "wasn't helping" any from just looking at the scoreboard was crazy.
@@profferoll7119strike drones are absolutely cancerous. For some reason, they tank damage better than a heli and they can just be used for revenge CAS, which is the most annoying form of CAS. CAS is annoying overall, but revenge CAS specifically is just infuriating. Scout drones i can tolerate as they mostly buzz around and scout you and your team. Yes, they're annoying too, but not THAT annoying as the strike drone. At least if they made it not eat SAMs like it's nothing, i wouldn't have a problem with them.
Eow, Abrams still are paper tanks with no armor upgrades and decreasing mobility, No new 120mm anti ERA shells, No M900s for the 105mm tanks, still no Anti-radiation HARMs to deal with Pantsir, Still no Fire and Forget Hellfire MMWs for Longbow Apaches or AH-1Z and still no decent answer to never miss R-27ERa, yet they quietly nerfed the AIM-54 turn rates without announcing it.
Even with AIM-120s coming, it won't help much. The snail will buff Russian copium claiming all soviet radars and missiles will never lose lock, track better and fly faster. US will still a struggle in 2024

Only way you can do well with USA at top tier is to have a 12.7 jet, that eliminates the chances of getting qued with clueless clickbaiters, that's why it's so enjoyable but it's too bad the F-20 is coming as a premium cus now the winrates there are about to drop even more. 💀

@JustinPlaysTV I don't know if you know this, but the apaches got shadow buffed when the new RWR was introduced. It now detects launches from all beam riding missle platforms, including pantsirs. It still may not be able to detect IR launches, but it is a lot more playable and technically has a partial MAW. I think you should definitely give it a try!

The tank in game is 120s, not 2000. They are different vehicle.
Anyway, the event m60 is like 10.0 or 10.3, this thing will minimum be 10.3, but more likely 10.7. Depends on the engine it gets it is going to be drive like m1a1 or a worse m60.
Best case scenario, you get a downgrade m1a1. Worst case scenario you get a m60a3 with m900.

12.7 Jets in GRB will be history in April/May. The jets for GRB will then be adapted to the tanks.
Example:
F-16C is 12.7 it will then be set to 11.7 in GRB but will remain 12.7 in airbattles.
So you will no longer be matched 12.0-12.7 in GRB

I’m curious why you don’t have the AIM? It has gen 2 thermals and the round is still 599 max pen. It’s essentially just another m1a2sep where it matters. I think you’re missing out by having the ipm or HC and not the AIM.
The minute the F16C went up to 12.7 my quality of gameplay skyrocketed. As long as Gaijin Keeps Premium tanks below 11.7 I'll be happy.

Can you still not remove the TUSK kit from the SEPv2? I thought they'd acknowledged a report someone made showing SEPv2s deployed without the kit as proof it should be optional. Frankly, like you said, the v2 is just worse than the SEP with more overpressure magnets and extra weight that can't be removed.

I find the armor for the abrams protects it sometimes which is about as often as it works on every other US medium tank in the game. It does fine, LFP definitely needs a buff on the SEPv2 at a minimum as we know it gained weight there

America has never been unbalanced. The real problem was the 'AmErIcaN pLaYErS™'. Once they just bugger off, it will be no problem to enjoy a stress-free experience with the one of the greatest tech tree in this game.
One thing I did notice recently. Is them having Russia / USSR on both sides of the playing field.. wich I believe is balancing alot of the junk out . other than the 1 hit quiter's

Its basically the same style of SL for all Nato tanks but then again the Abrams armor isnt even properly implemented in the game so why should we expect them to give it a spall liner

Where do you see what gen your thermals are?
There are some fan-made resources but ultimately you judge based off how crispy the image is when using the thermals in game. The lower the resolution, the lower the generation of thermals. Crispier/higher res = higher gen.

AIM is stronger plus gen 2 thermals but the IPM1 loads faster w stock crew and ammo is sort of similar so just have both

The 105mm and 120mm Abrams have the same ROF now, it's just that you need a certain crew level to max out reload speed, so ROF can vary by crew (but with crews of equal lvl the ROF is the same).

My trick to playing USA (and most other nations to be honest) is to not go above 7.0-7.7 MAX. Anything above that it starts to get just worse and worse

It's not the turret ring itself but the breach getting disabled every time a shell pens. It can be in the back and still damages breach.

The abrams isnt underpreforming. It's absolute piece of shit compared to leopard or T80. Unarmored hull, huge turret weakspot. Grinding US is just a waste of time and money.
