Got the T90m, played one game, realised I can't grind anything left in the tech tree effectively with it, havent played it again since 😆
My brother…stop the grind for a second, enjoy it. Then get sick and tired of it and go back down to a lower BR to actually have fun. I play half my games between 1.3 and 6.3

@@toasterhothead3312 True words, I tend to stick to top tier but when I stop trying to grind and just have fun with the vehicles I got even at top tier it becomes much more fun.
I got the T90M first and i was able to effectively grind the rest of the vehicles i had in tier 7 and and rest of tier 8.

As the best SPAA below 11.7, the Strela getting buffed is absolutely shocking (I have never been less surprised by anything in my life)

What about against helo's tho?
On most maps, the Strela can lock and fire at helos at max range.
Some weather conditions can limit this, like night battles, but luckily they mostly got rid of those the same updated.
Tan Sam can as well, out to even longer ranges.
The advantage of the strela over the Tan Sam is it immediately starts maneuvers and seems to turn on a dime, making hitting low flying jets way more manageable.
And seeing as that's how jets play Top Tier ground these days, the Strela is pretty good. Also it's stupidly large seeker head gimble.

Hey Justin, I noticed you carry maximum fuel loads in your Mig-29 (12:10) and Su-27 (16:00) and I would like to say that fuel weight drastically affects the flight performance of these jets!
i think he overestimates how much fuel consumption the top tier jets have, i see him do it with pretty much every plane, realistically you dont stay up in the air for more than 5-10 minutes before needing to rearm so might as well bring less fuel

@@martras2237 This is not an EС map, even a mig at full afterburner will not spend more than 30 minutes, and the Su-27 is very economical for its engines. Considering how Justin flies, 20 minutes is enough for him.
su-27 is really fuel hungry, not so much the mig-29 tho
One vehicle I wish was in the game was the SU-12, as it might be a Battle Pass reward. It's a modified GAZ-AAA truck, armed with a 76mm regimental gun M1927 infantry support gun. It's already in-game as the main guns of the T-35, early variants of the T-28, BT-7A, and T-26-4.

As a swedish main I only struggle against CAS at top tier 😂 Russia is no issue

Ka52 is way more agile than Mi-28NM. The only thing about flying them is Mi28 is more streight forward type of helicoptee.
And honestly Justin please STOP lowering your collective so low when you take out helis (you go down to 0 at times I noticed). If you do that what happenes is you lose all air under your rotor and fall into vortex this is why it happenes to you in Ka52 more because the rotor design is more sensitive to this. And anyways going to the side quickly gets you out of vortex anyways...
You want to go lower? Do a downwards turn and then reingage. It will save your but too to lose contact at times with potential SPAA.
People in the comments are underestimating T90m. It's currently shadowed by Leopards of sweden and germany but that spall liner is still hella good
I disagree, I can still one shot a t90m aiming for its usual weak spots. I can no longer one shot a leopard.

@@PenanceWT I’ve yet to pen a t90m and have it be in a position to run away or shoot back. Leopards you can shoot the turret but then he’ll get away, you can shoot the hull but then he’ll one shot you with DM53.

16:16 of course it feels like a bus, if you carry max amount of fuel, especially in ground rb (like why?). Most of the time you're perfectly fine with 30m in air rb, in ground 20m might be enough.

@@TM450FI The vt1 is nearly the easiest missile to dodge at top tier. Especially at range. All you have to do is turn and roll hard and it'll fly right by.

I turn on the automatic lead mode if someone is flying perpendicularly to me at close range. Has helped me land a couple hits against gripens maneuvering above me or planes trying to flank around the side of the map.

2:11 Is getting a large amount of crew slots worth it(7+)?, How often would you really get through all of the vehicles, especially if you favor certain tanks to start (eg, start with light tanks, or are using a top tier mbt)
It is worth it if you play one nation a lot, you wont use all spawns ofcourse but you can have more vehicles in your lineup and so be able to adjust to situations when needed.(with enduring battles. Both cap the other teams point it is very handy)

Isn't the "vacuum" round for 152mm cannons? I mean yea armata can fit one but i don't think it would be ok for anyone except soviets to have a freaking turretless tank with 1 meter of RHA penetration at 2km distance
Not at all, it's for 125mm guns, however it's long to fit in the T-90s caroussel, so it can only be fired by the T-14.
Love the indian "ranapratap" camon on the strela though

I have started to grind Britain and it feel weird to not get one shot but a leo in a Challenger coming from the Abrams.
Revisit the T-72m2 Moderna(its expensive now)? The object 292 and that new T-80 premium should be going up in BR to join it at 10.3 to be honest.

How do you not think the Pantsir is the best AA???? It is the best in almost every way, it has the best radar, best AA missiles, longest range missiles, guns to shoot down incoming munitions, lots of ammo and lots of missiles, great optics, can track multiple targets at a time (more difficult to do but you can do it). The only thing the ADATS has on it is that its missiles can take out tanks too but even then Russian ERA eats all their penetration because they aren’t tandem.
The ADATS isn’t even an SPAA

@@pandaperson4507 in game it’s a tank destroyer, so it has a much much higher spawn cost than an actual SPAA
And I have video of me shooting a tank with 7/8 missiles with the ADATS and after I was done he killed me that says the Tank Destroyer label is a bit misleading.... Just no.
Smokeless missiles, almost untouched flight model, RWR only see its radar but no lock. If you missed a launch, you probably die instantly.

For US top tier i do something similar for anti-air, have ADATS and LAV-AD for AA.
I'd love to see a video like this for China since it's kinda comparable in the MBT area.

my fav Russian vehicle is the Khrizantema, that thing has thermals and can lock on tanks or even aircraft. Its missiles slaps with 1,2k mm pen.
German main here-- the leopard is probably my favorite tank. I have a lot of fun playing it, more fun infact then playing Russia top tier.
Anyone know any tips for ps5 player new to the radar spaa stuff? I’ve played the gun radar spaa just never the missles ones. I’ve never messed with the radar setting and stuff but it kinda sounds like I should.

No its broken, but Germany and Sweden are currently overshadowing them right now. Doesnt change the fact that Russia is massively handheld just because 1 other type of vehicle is better currently.
Russia is still better in most regards, they just have 2nd best mbts which is still very good

Currently grinding air rb for better top tier CAS, but I gotta say, air rb feels so miserable if you're playing attacker. Every match is just a rat-race to drop your bombs off first.

They are good vehicles imho leopards and strv's currently take the best top tier tank mantle. They'r enjoyability is extremely dependent on the player tho because not every is gonna be willing to put up with the not so great gun handling and deppresion plus horrible reverse of anything but the T-80's

people using ka-52 to shot aircrafts because of target priority, first you need to get rid of more dangerous targets. Jets > Helis > AA > Tanks
If you have only tanks left you literally have full control over map

Put the Strela in Auto mode. For the Pantsir its maybe not that good, but for the Strela its insane.
According to datamines the 292 might get it's depressiin value dropped to 3° which is just bad.
Will hinder it quite a bit, but having a breech this huge being able to depress 5° was funny tho

I think Russia needs an MBT that breaks the rule of the one-shot caroussel death. It's just too easy when there is no reliable way to OSK Leo2s on the opposing team. I think it's time for the Black Eagle. Or maybe an event Objekt 195...

Also lower Russian plates litterely only kill the driver cus west tanks are higher

@@Sumi_S no way in hell, how is it that it is hard for absolute unit like you to aim properly on a move, in a city environment, while sniping. You know russians have to aim for weakpoints too, like everyone does (except for italy and England, they really have weakly armoured tanks)

I don’t know why any one would say the Pantsir is not the best AA, literally is best in everything. Don’t have ADATS yet. Can someone explain why that is a better AA? I just don’t see it being better.
It’s not, it’s also not even an SPAA
The ADATS is far better. The missile is just amazing, MIN-145 always one taps anything it hits and is incredibly stable in all flight phases. It can also pull more Gs than VT1s somehow, and has anti tank capabilities.

An FE variant of the 4090.
Some say it's because of the very high setting for effects resolution. I have yet to see it happen again since changing it to just high.
@@JustinPlaysTVyour card should be fine as long as it has a GPU holder as for the artifacting it could very well be fucky wucky drivers, ive had it happen where i updated the drivers on my old 1050 and the fps in game became very unstable... hope it helps! keep ya vids goin mate
i am currently maining germany in warthunder and am worried that the future for germany is not that good as there only the eurofighter they can add but russia has tons of other planes that can be added, should i swap over to russia to future proof myself?
As someone who grinded germany years ago I can tell you that at one point or another, you will start to grind other nations. I chose Russia because the tanks are a lot of fun (for me). I don't think Russia will get much more broken in the future bc Germany and US likes to play together and America can wreck russian stuff out of the sky. But if you are looking for a fun and different nation Russia is one to go for. I actually need to start germany a bit again because I haven't played much since PSO and A7 were added
I started out warthunder as a young 14 year old boy , I straight away grinded the British tree (bare in mind I was 14 years old and thought the chally two ((((yet not in game)))) was the best thing in the game , I grinded through the tiers even eventually getting my dream tank ((((at the time)))) the Chieftain mk3, I went though years of Solidshot.exe and suffering, I now have top teir ground in every nation but Italy and china , through my experience and knowledge , I can advise one thing, DO NOT use the British tree if you are getting into the game. It'll decay your mind... anyways , Justin , could you please play ground with the Cromwell (either and excelsior will do) and any suitable CAS. Just to point out I am now a 24 year old man.

USSR doesn't need Vacuum-1 or 2. If anything, they can still get 3BM59 (the higher pen DU version of 3BM60) and give meme cannons like the Object 292, M1 Thumper, or Panzer 87-140 a niche.
3BM59 is stated to have a marginal improvement over 60, less than single digit MM improvement, so stated by Gaijin.
@@JustinPlaysTV Fair enough. Gaijin said something similar about not adding M829A3 as well. On the one hand it it just feels like something is not being factored in right in their calculations. On the other, at least the Object 292 is not actually punting turrets straight out of their turret rings.

I think the balance problem comes down to people wanting to grind for RP rather than truly counter who they’re up against, as you’ve said I’ve had some incredible difficulty countering a good Bradley or CV BILL player in Russian MBTs, however those vehicles don’t typically net as much RP for most people as MBTs hence them playing proper support can be fairly rare.
I have been playing Sweden and a light tank in a strong spot can nuke an enemy teams ability to win. There is one spot on a map I like that you can spot the enemy as they spawn and pick and choose which threats you kill with them only able to counter by bombing you.

I mean the Israeli heli with bilion spikes on it probably will outmatch every russian heli, just by the sheer volume of missiles it can throw at tanks, planes and helis.
I would also argue the British Rooivalk (SA, but UK tree) is at least comparable. It can lob missiles 10km out, and 9/10 times I win a fight against Ka series helis because of superior missiles.

In the BR 10.0 the ru is to strong and that randomness against ru is the worst part. Sometimes no spall, no ammo explosion, drivers optics eat the 120mm apfsd etc. On other tanks is that not so extreme... and no I'm not a nato main ...

Germany currntly they are just better and have 3 extremly capable top tier MBT's
Try sweden, will take the same time cuz of smaller tree, it has 3 leos with good composite screens

Honestly there really isn’t any “russian bias” in game, for fecks sake both the T-90a and T-90m have extremely unrealistic stats, for some reason despite being praised for it’s maneuverability for some reason the Su-27 has the flight model of a WW1 battleship, the barrel launch atgm’s on the russian tanks only work 50% of the time, tbh this really isn’t a problem of russian bias these problems I talked about exist on all tech tress, gayjin just straight up sucks at modeling modern vehicles to their irl stats

Sorry but the ADATs shouldn't even considered being in the conversation of good AA. Just a jet flying in a straight line evades the missile it's a joke. It's pretty good for helicopters but jets? That's a hell no from me. There is a reason many US mains are wanting a better SPAA.

I think gaijin should give the T-80, T-90A, T-72 and T-64 finally realistic stats, the gun handling of them is so much worse than in real life, at least T-80U's should have same gun control as the T-80BVM. Also irl the T-80U has spall liners, which gaijin forgot for some reason. Russia could be much stronger, but for "balancing" gaijin probably won't fix that issues.
And then the thing that they add the Mig-29SMT, when there's a SM with same weapons, and the only difference that it has less fuel and better flight performance.
Imagine they add the Commander thermals that they Russia is putting on the T72, T80's, and T-90a's
Also sidenote about that spall liner, you got a source for that? I been in a T-80U before when I was in Russian service (wasn't a tanker) it was very clearly a white inside without a spall liner
@@handsomeivan1980There's a book from like 2000 that is about the T-80 and it's variants, where you can read that T-80U had Kevlar(=Spall liner) inside.
I'm not sure if there's a source in the internet, so if you don't own the book, you probably won't find anything about it.
But i would trust the book, because it's from one of the developers of the T-80.
And small siede info, i saw already a Leo 2A7 from the inside, it was completly white too, so i'm not sure if Colour says anything

Top tier looks so nice i just don't get why gaijin made the grind so bad that many people quit long befor they hit top tier am at two years in this game now and no where close to a top tier yet. I just hope they fix the grind soon it the only thing that is killing the game the most
Do you use premium time and premium vehicles? Do you get 3-6 Kills games? Do you take advantage of the RP bonuses for spading vehicles. Do you make the most of RP boosters that you get from daily chests? Gaijin has already change the economy after the boycott, you should have reach top tier by then, I started playing the game after the boycott and when the changes to economy was introduced, now I have USA and Germany Top Tie after 800 hours of gameplay

You grind all the way and then feel forced to play because of the time you put in but you dont have fun.
