Rank 8 isn't decompression, it's an excuse to sell T7 premiums as they are technically not top tier. That's about it.
Exactly. If you look at the tech trees now, some of the smaller ones legit have like 2-3x the amount of vehicles in Rank 6 as Rank 7. A lot of them barely had a decent amount of vehicles that truly belonged in Rank 7, let alone Rank 8.
it also makes tier 6 premiums obsolete, just as tier 6 premiums had made tier 5 premiums obsolete and those had made tier 4 premiums obsolete. They can't keep getting away with thiz

This. Absolutely pointless rank VIII. They don't bring revolutionary features. No new game mechanic. No new fancy modern high tech stuff. Some more grind and making, say, the T-55AM obsolete for the top grind...

At least the spall liners of the T90M arent as omnipotent as they have been on the dev server
Maybe so… though, my first encounter with the T-90M I shot directly in the side at the ammo and my shell just didn’t have the post pen damage to destroy his ammo.

How lazy of them. Just like they copy the 15% chance for Russian ammo to just not detonate when hit.
The stat card image for premium British Centurion Mk. III with the turret-mounted ATGMs was reused in the Swedish tech tree, so is not so odd.

Its the same model, they made the Swedish one first and usually do a recolor, they might've just missed it for that particular one. If you make skins this is very common not just in WT. Not lazy, just smart but I guess not everyone can comprehend that.

IRL the Russians found that most ammo cook offs were caused by ammo outside the carousel. With the spall liner and smaller T72 style auto loader I find i turret toss a lot less.
Hence the T-80UK's removal of fuel and ammo, as well as all T-90s having no ammunition in the turret.

germany has "PanzerBefelsWagen" literally "armoured command wagon". also the T-90 was a huge update to the T-72 before soviet dissolution. BUT is kinda a weird amalgam of T-80 and T-72. while yes you are correct, you're using the wrong equation but getting a very near right answer.
also the T-80UK does still have the same fuel, it just uses the fuel racks without the ammo inside them gaijin is just a bunch of dick fiddlers.

@@osmacar5331 Thanks for giving me an unneeded and senseless rambling about variants of vehicles, of which are already known and have no bearing on our topic.
The T-90 had an entirely redesigned turret, as well as minor upgrades to the hull. One of the largest purposes of the program was to mount a better gun, as well as give more protection to the turret (which had been shown to take the most hits in combat).
All ammunition was removed from the turret, and armor was added in such a way to give the turret armor over a very wide angle.
The T-80UK has the removal of ammunition for export models, which were heavily studied in the South Korean arsenal.

it feels like it is still easier to destroy then bvm, btw I unlocked 2a7v and it seems really strong, can take a lot of punishment.

@nightwing268 you have to shoot low to hit ammo and war thunder doesn't model the charges as ammunition. It goes red but doesn't detonate because Gaijin thinks big tubes of gunpowder aren't flammable. Whenever you shoot russian tanks shoot lower than what you think you need and odds are you will hit the shells.
The hardest moment in that video was shooting around your team mate. One shotting most of your opponents, and zero fear of a single shot knocking you out😂

Id be a bit more ok with spall liners if russian vehicles didnt already feel like they have spall protection compared to NATO MBTs, so unless they fix that, the T-90M will probably feel like it has 2x spall protection than other western tanks which also have it

I think you should revisit the Strv9040c its so funny it has a very good spall liner now and with the update they have massively increased the speed at which all tanks rearm on capture points making you able to rearm faster than you can shoot with the bofors inability to overheat you can fire infinitly aslong as your on the cap you should give it a try
In response to your question, yes I would like to see all skins including user ones. I almost exclusively use historical user skins, but it would be nice to see more variety in tank cosmetics.
In real life the turret bustle ammo has to accessed from outside the tank, it's just storage.
I also heard that the entire bustle can be removed if not needed.

@@jonomurphy1117 I'm not 100% sure for the T-90M in service in russian army, but fore the export version, the T-90MS, the manufacturer claims that the turret bustle can be removed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-90#Variants
irl you have to retreat form combat after 22 rounds down range... which besides the challenger 2 and i think leopard 2 all tanks have to do that.
if the C1 can stay sustained with a black ready rack then citation please cause that tank is so alien and elusive and i want to know what i can about it.

They have to balance the top tier so they add top tiers to every nation fast
I'm honestly not surprised they modeled the Abrams incorrectly. The SEPv2 package is still serving in the current tank fleet, so I seriously doubt Gaijin was able to get the 100% correct specs to model the tank. But it should still have blow-out panels and a spall liner
All Abrams we have in game do have blow out panels, but they don't work majority of the times because usually:
1. The enemy takes a shot at you while you're reloading, and if they hit your ammo the blast door is modelled open.
2. If they penetrate the blast door from the frontal shot, the blowout panels don't negate the ammunition cook-off.
The spall liner not being on their is Gaijin being half-assed, just waiting for someone to leak classified information so they can't be held accountable.
@@thisisveerus6667 The problem with the blow-out panels is that, if an Abrams takes full ammo, it's hull ammo is unprotected when (despite common misconception) it does have blow-out protection as well so that is objectively modelled incorrectly. However, bluntly, they get more things wrong about the Abrams than they get right. There's a literal laundry list of known issues that have been in the game for ages.

You can actually carry a but more ammo in theT-90M now as the ammo will be stored in the back of the turret which is a blowout panel
the ammo storage in the back of the turret is for safety.
you know those images of Russian tanks with their turrets blown off? Well that has nothing to do with the ammo being in the carousel at the bottom of the tank.
If you load more ammo can you can fit into the carousel then it has to be placed in other parts of the tank which aren't as protected. So if you hit any ammo stored in those unprotected parts then you get a very big kaboom.
To allow costumes skins people would literally have to download 100mb+ every game. Some custom skins can be over 200mb. Its just not feasible, on top of being a bad idea to begin with.
about that skins topic, I think it would be a great idea to allow viewing the custom skins, BUT there needs to be an option to able or disable viewing those, because people may be using skins that might be considered as "cheating", it could have some textures from the grass in the game or anything alike. Maybe Gaijin moderating the type of skins that could be allowed into the game is a great idea too

@@Duka101 Lol I play NATO, and Russian tanks. So far Sweden has been consistently the most consistently competitive nation of ALL. Germany is getting shafted for the fact Sweden just upgrades them better.

I'm a bit of Russian main personally but I find it funny how it's only NATO players complaining about the spall liner on Russian tanks meanwhile all of the strv 122s have it as well and the Leo 2a7 also has it but it's convenient for them to not mention it.
Because it's not a game problem it's a political problem that makes them angry seeing Russia have good tanks but Sweden is okay everybody cool with them

I totally understand “politics is everything”, & vice versa (You’d need to be silly, or denying logical analysis/ignoring reality to believe it’s not the case). However, I refuse to let my views rot pure harmless fun, and a relaxing (supposed to be) getting away from the stressfulness of real life.
Unfortunately, we all play the same game. Its balance should be important, aswell as its non toxicity imo. A good gaming environment = cooler heads outside of that.
*Anyways, back to the topic at hand: Sweden is undeniably the best nation for ground RB, and has been for a good min arguably. Sure Russian tanks can get lucky no spall moment (so do NATO tanks, no one cares, and it’s less often as Russian MBTs) but getting lucky/having randomized/inconsistent outcomes ≠ good (at least consistently). Swedish tanks, IFVs, etc are CONSISTENTLY GOOD. You know wtf you’re getting, and what will happen to you likely in most situations. The only area they lack is maybe SpAA. Other than that the STRV 122s are NUTTY, I don’t complain bc I don’t have that much issue with them being that strong but it’s weird no one says anything with the amount of complaints that happen within this WT community. Maybe bc no one plays Sweden that much but idek anymore.*
The interesting is, that most russian players that T-90M is very bad even some say that the worst top tier tank, but Eastern and american people say that its op.

@JustinPlays I'm Not 100% positive but I'm pretty sure you can custom camo's to others in game There's an option in settings called customization of vehicles and there are options to enable camo's decals etc. Not sure if it works for custom ones but I think I've seen another streamer have some of the ppl in his squad be able to see it at least.
I think that some custom skins could be made to make you harder to see and cheat in some ways. I would rather prefer that Gaijin includes more of them in the market. They would be behind a pay wall of course, but at least it would allow those that reproduce real life camo schemes or plausible ones to be seen by everyone in game and that could be fun.

Would be cool to see true custom skins, but some of us (myself inculded) use super vibrant and goofy skins so it would put us at a disadvantage. There should be an option on our part to say yes or no to our custom skins being seen.
Seeing custom skins would be nice but even marketplace skins can cause problems. I had to turn off the setting that allowed skin downloads mid match because it was causing lag and failing sometimes. It would be interesting if they found a way to make a hash of the skins so the server can tell players that have the same skin downloaded to use that skin on the other players tank

Hey! Wanted to comment on your mention of if Gaijin should allow custom skins to be seen by everybody and not just user-side. The only problem I can see with this is much increased load times and performance drops. Since high fidelity skins take some good time to load if you arent on a fast pc. Loading so many at a time would be problematic. If this is something they added, it would most likely only benifit those with really fast machines.

@@saletzgy7820 Shot hit LFP, spall killed the driver, penetrator itself passed just under the ammo and traveled through the back into the transmission.
Happens in the BVM all the time!

IIRC the last time you could see other people’s skins you could just use a transparent file to make you much harder to see
fun fact: puma can rip apart a t90m, doesnt have the crazy sloped side plates under the skirt like the t80 and t72.

sometimes the easiest targets arent the biggest threats, also helps to hit the hard targets first and leave the easiest ones for your team

The funniest thing about the bustle compartment is that it cant be used in combat to replenish rounds. Like, there is no way to access it from within the fighting compartment (only outside).

Custom skins would be cool but they are downloaded on the persons pc. We would have to download everyones custom skin when starting the match to see them. Unless there is another way they could do it.
