Duck deserves a lot of credit for winning these matches in a way that weakens MPs character-sniping cheese addiction . Hopefully Lord-hiding will become more common, and we will see a greater variety of builds and tactics as a result.

It does highlight that there is something very wrong with the game though when you have to hide your general in the corner somewhere in order to win. Generals should benefit your army not be a liability.

It's even more impressive because he's winning without using much magic at all. Duck is clearly the better player in these matches against Nhest and it shows.

Lord hiding is something that should not happen non-the less. Karl Franz or Grimgor should be leading his troops in battle not hiding like a sissy in the woods

But then its in character for necromancers and wizards to hide.

Even if they have to be taken with a grain of salt, really looking forward to your tests on the Beastmen, cause as it stands it looks like CA buffed em up a bit from their TT brethren !

There should be house rules that only ground melee troops can attack non-airborne commanders. Or something of a sort.
The way it is now is simply pathetic.

Every Sunday, and there are some special cups on other days but don't know when. There are a ton of VODs as well, some quite interesting games.

It's such a shame to let all that Winds of Magic go to waste. I wonder if it had been possible to summon some skeletons without the Necromancer being discovered.

Haven't thought of summoning actually, but the risk could have been mitigated by just summoning the units in the forest and then wait it out. If the outside battle is inconclusive (and Empire magic has been spent), then send out the skellies for some final blows.

Sorry, but I'm just not enjoying those games. I come here expecting to watch a real-time version of warhammer, but all I get is "who's got the best cheese?".
Lord-sniping army? Check. General hidden in a corner? Check. Last game, it was "Ridiculous army build that the opponent could do nothing about? Check".

That is why the real thing is always better. Its always about the winning and never the socialising/imagination/drama. The prevailing mentality of all video gamers is min maxing, overloading, death-starring, blobbing etc. This stuff is fun enough but you can't beat a few hrs with some mates having a laugh and rolling some dice.

real time version of warhammer would be "who's got the best cheese"
what happens here is tactics. sorry you don't like it.

@@lemonstinaire2470 Not really tactics, I know this is an old old comment, but to me it seems the empire made a bet for a " hold for a while while I kill the enemy lord" army and paid for it. I think warhammer encourages this behaviour alot. Even on my singleplayer campaigns, once I had the leech spell I'd just make a bet for the enemy general to break so I could win the battle more easily. It really has to do with balancing in the game, on older titles the best way to snipe a general was to either shoot him or use a good cav charge against them. You could prevent him being shot by moving him, and prevent charges by moving reserves or running away. When you have flying units, this happens.
