I just purchased this card game on a whim, and I was scouring UA-cam & Google for comprehensive "Lets Plays," or guides. Your's EXCELLENT! and ENTERTAINING
When you leveled up to 2, I believe you could have kept any xp over the required amount (7) which, if I'm correct, would have left two xp on the board for you..
Thank you much for posting this, it was super helpful. A couple pointers for future content, put some markers on your play area so you know where the frame of the camera is; lots of rolls and things happening just out of frame. Also, perhaps I missed it, but a brief synopsis of the rules before jumping into part 1 would help the audience get why you're doing certain things :)
I just picked up the game a couple of days ago, and have been looking forward to trying out the solo version. The game instructions aren't super great, and a quick watch of this video helped to clarify some lingering confusion. Thanks for this one!
Thanks for the run through! It helped. One suggestion, we can't see the print on the card, so it might help to hold it up to the camera for a second so we can read it. Good for us newbies.... enjoyed the videos and helped explained things. Appreciate it.
When I play, I like to spend time with cards face down. So I can't try to meta-game the remaining cards to explore. I like to hurt myself when playing this game :)
Question: Each time you level up you keep the black die....so by the end (Level4) you should have 4 black die....in other words, the dice are accumulated....right or wrong ? That is the way I have been playing both ODD and ODD FoS since they game out. I beat all the bosses but have not played the campaign mode and as a solo player I love ODD so much so that I now bought the card expansion. Thank you in advance and kind regards from the UK.
Forgot to comment on this video. I'm still unsure about this one. The price is good, and by all accounts, it seems like the perfect game for me: inexpensive, dice, cards, small box and table footprint. I'm a masochist but this seems kind of... meh. It'll remain on my wishlist still, but I'm not a fan of the luck mitigation ratio in this. You have to hope you get a good skill it seems like, and that depends entirely on what you face. The merging for the wild is like being slapped in the face, too. The luck:mitigation ratio is too wonky and it seems like you already know your fate before you're even out of the second floor. I enjoy difficult solo games (The Lost Expedition, for example), but this seems aggravating, even for a dice lover. At least it's cheap
If you're looking for a solo dungeon crawl, you might be interested in the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for Unbroken (you can try it as a PnP now, if you want). I filmed a playthrough that will go up at the end of March because I enjoyed the game and intend to be a backer myself.

Only 2 videos on this??
No re-tries with other classes?? 🥺
This was a fun watch.

@Brycen Tristan definitely, been watching on flixzone for years myself =)

Thanks for the play through. I noticed I’ve been making some mistakes in my games. You’ve been most helpful.
When you level you can keep the extra experience card...the used experience cards are put back in the box not the deck
Thanks!

Sharon Herman Thanks for watching! Also, I just got a new camera yesterday so expect sharper images.
I may update this vid, as well!
Another nice job! First play through to help me understand this game. Thank you!

I like to hurt myself when playing this game :)
The game doesn't hurt you enough on its own? LOL
Thanks for the play through. Helped a lot!
Thank you for watching!
I thought you obtained a potion that gave you 3 extra dice at 9:10. Why didn't you use it on the boss?
lol the boss fight was totally brutal. It was like going up against a Balrog with a peashooter and paper armour. :D
A valiant effort! I find the Archer really difficult to win with.
4:16 How does that card work? Two dice to roll a 14? Do you need bonuses or something to get beyond 12 from two die?
TBH I traded this game off long ago, sorry!
@@BeyondSolitaire I bought this game the other day, I understand how its played now. Challenging fun little game!

To be 100% honest I have no idea anymore because I have not played this in years!
Great video. Fun game but the win criteria is ridiculous.
very nice playthrough! a bit rushed though, as you made some rules mistakes in the hurry (such as using the skill Kiting for Perils(
Ah, yes, thanks for the catch!
Those 1's are a killer...

You can't use your second skill against traps to lose 1 time instead of 1 health
Why not? The rules state that 'Each skill can be only be used once during each encounter or boss round'.
So bummed. My game came with these big plastic hearts for the damage instead of the wooden tokens. I really dont like the plastic hearts.
You can't win a boss fight at only level 2.
