I know you see this comment a lot esp on channels still building support... seriously under-rated channel... The presentation, voice, clips etc and the way you explore each subject succinctly as possible compared to other "self improvement" channels is a cut above the rest. None of the self help bull here were they spend the first half of the video filling it with a sales pitch, don't you wish you could do this, followed by this is why you want to do this. ignoring the fact that's exactly why we click on the video or go searching in the first place. I genuinely look forward to each new video weather I would find direct benefit or not. keep it up.
Taking care of your mental health can contribute to your mental toughness and performance. You don't have to sacrifice one for the other. Grateful to be involved in this video!
I'm going through something like this, 2021 I was in a Pro Valorant team. I would MVP all my Radiant Ranked matches & Tournaments. Wherever I was, my performance was just through the roof. Ended the year Top 1 in my country, and Top 4 in the whole APAC Region in VLR-ACS Stats. Almost Everyday we had 6-8hr Team Practice, then since I was a Facebook Partner, I had to stream 4 hours Everyday as well. soo thats 10-12hrs of my everyday. I rarely went outside. In the Start of 2022, I slowly felt this deep dislike of the game. months later, I hated the game but I had to keep on playing it, so ended up slowly performing soo bad, then ended up hating myself. I got so lost mid 2022. I watch a lot of Videos just like this one to find an answer to my problem because It was all so new to me, I had no clue as to what was happening to me. Then slowly I felt a little better, then ended up hiring an Esports Psychologist that. He helped me as well, and as of now I'm just slowly starting to accept myself again and my current state. with hopes to become the beast that I was again. Last year I saw my Peak and I'm madly in love with that person who's just brimming with Skill. When I get to that point again, I will take care of myself more so I could maintain that. Thank you for making videos like this! @eAthlete Labs
I agree with this video, I actually noticed a huge difference from when I was social to now when I’m a lot less social and it’s more difficult to focus on the game and get into the flow state. This led to me preforming worse than I used to as well
Lockdown has had this affect on a lot of people! Glad I could bring this insight to you! Join some online communities and discord servers, or connect with friends online in the meantime!
Just wanna say thank you very much! Your videos changed my attitude in Tekken because I found myself easily angry at the smallest losses making me lose passion and fun as well. Your videos help a lot and I hope you make more :D
I’ve been going through with this problem for years and years. I keep quitting the game after i reach the top rank. I have been playing fps games since i was 10. I reached top 300 beta pubg, esea RANK S and valorant radiant. I don’t know what to actually do how to stop it. I love esport but i keep quitting for months and months to relearn the same thing and quit again after i learned it. I will promise myself that right now. No more quitting for me, and pursue what i actually love.
I can attest to what he’s said. When I had a close network of school mates that hung out daily, I became a champ of Mvc3 due to the pressure and friendship. Good times
So i finally started to take things seriously. I was thinking alot about regrets in life. And Going for pro is one of them. Ive always gotten to diamon/master ranks in every game ive played. Im choosing halo infinite as my game. And ive got my set training in place. Ive gotten in contact with tournaments as well as sponsors. I love these videos. Im going to be the best player I can be. I have to push myself and see what Im truly capable, and your content is helping fuel this fire. So thank you.
I laughed because I wasn't expecting a Charisma on Command and eAthlete crossover episode. Great idea to go hug your friends sometimes, even for those of us who tend towards introversion.
And then there's me. My dream to be the best gamer I can be yet no friends that I feel supported by in this way. Kinda have to go it alone due to this. I wonder if just hanging out with friends can work but idk. Still though these videos are great thank you! I feel like each one helps me become 1 step closer to my goals!
On top of my In-Game Issues - I have a real life job (that’s taking a toll on me now), and I now have to pledge most of my time there. Me to try to go into Competitive Gaming - thinking it would be my ticket out of the hotel business and into that field… instead, I’m forced to stay in the work force. So, I have to go with the ways of Reality instead of Dreams.
I keep trying to come back into a Competitive Game - but I still have the same things occurring - maybe I have officially “Reached My Limit”… by it being both in my Personal Conditions (what I was born with), and the Harsh Side of the Competition, too much to handle. In the end, I only did just go way over my head - that’s one of my issues - I think too big (and picture it as a potential future event), but as an action… it doesn’t happen.
I like to speedrunning games I have have world records in games like WrestleMania.. WWF attitude. Smackdown vs Raw. UFC. street fighter. soul caliber 2. TMNT. sports atv games and dadiish 1 and 2 which dadish seems fairly popular I also love playing and Mario and donkey Kong games just for fun I may consider trying to be in eSports some day but I don't know I enjoy doing speedruns anyway so probably just stick to that 😀
Stick to what you love. Mad respect if you can set world records in those games! If you don’t yet you should stream and make vids, it would make for good content
I have gotten really depressed for a while because I have over 2 years trying to convince my parents to let me go pro in esports but I have no success with that because they are closed minded 🙁
Sorry to hear dude, I too went through a similar situation, but I promise you, you'll get want you want in the end. Think of it like this... There is light at the end of the tunnel.
What your kd is and how old you are should be two key factors. If you tell me your overral kd in fortnite judging by pfp i will try to tell you the best route.
Practice on bots trying to get headshots with aim assist turned off. Do this for 30 minutes each time before you play and you’ll get a lot better over a couple weeks I’m sure
I definitely consider speedrunning a type of pro gaming but different kind of pro gaming its speed gaming where as eSports is head to head player vs player in eSports you get paid alot of money for doing good speedrunning get paid with leaderboard and world records basically 😄😃
Cuz of my improvement, I am scared to play cs go or cs:s, not because I'm pro, because my improvement just go down and I've got a lot of "tilts", and others just toxic talked with me and it makes me, even more, fear to play the game I like, it's too count like Gaming Fatigue or it's even worse? And it's normal that I just can't watch fully of your videos, cuz of despair and sadness?
Sounds like theres a big attachment to maintaining your current performance level and a fear of imperfection. If so, you gotta overcome that perfectionist attitude. Lean into challenge, don't worry about losing progress in the ranks, just focus on learning, experimenting and trying to expand as a player.
Here's the thing me and my friend play apex ranked and he does not give a fuk about winning or loosing but I will get so mad if we loose 10 matches in a row I'm competitive and put in the work he does not care and just wants to play we are opposites and I want to know how to play well and be positive with him any tips
Some of your friends are there to play with when you want to be causal. But if you want to be competitive you need to find competitive people to play with. Search discords or find people while queuing by yourself.
eAthlete I really need your help what should I do if I've been working hard 24\7 on this game to be the best and I succeeded I was in the top 1% i was livin the dream you could say but this new update came out recently and they put in these extremely overpowered weapons and bc of that I've quickly began to drop in stats what should I do? Take a break and hope it gets changed? Push through it and see this as an opportunity to get better? Or should I just quit...? This new update has really been affecting my mentality since its nearly impossible to good now but mostly its bc I put my heart and soul into this game to be the best but this new change in the game is ruining it... I just don't know what to do your videos help me alot and I appreciate that greatly but I can't think of a better time to be inspired than now so please give me your input on this situation I'm going through
This is gonna happen more than once in your gaming career. Accept that your stats will drop in the short term but you can learn and get back to where your were. Learn and adapt!
