    What is this video about?
When you're playing at the top level, when everything is on the line, when your dream is clear and you know the path to get there, then everything else comes much easier.
This is why you hear about rising stars who have such big goals, who have the humility to admit they're not the greatest but have the belief and aspiration that they'll get there.
And anyone who fails to have the right mindset or self-belief will distance themselves more and more from their pursuit until their self-doubt becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
But why exactly is "mindset" such a big factor for success in esports? And what mindset do you need to adopt to succeed like a pro player?

Here's a tip, that can really improve your performance: try to stay hydrated during your play, and get fresh air every now and then. breathe more consicuously every few minutes or when you need to perform better during your match.
This really helps more than you might believe

Also stay in a cool temperature room. I feel like this really helps too. When it gets hot in my room, I feel like I play worse. No matter how much water I drink to cool off. To play well, you must be comfortable. 💯

Also it’s a pretty controversial topic but I would stay off gfuel, red bull and monster. U don’t actually need that much energy as you are not moving, if you’re tired just have coffee, coke, etc.

I have notice that when I start a match and I'm repeting to myself "I can do it, I will do it", I perform better, I'm not scared of making the first move or put myself in risky situations, but when I start the match insecure, like "I don't really know this character" or "I hate going against that character" I immediately get destroyed by the enemy. So, when I see I'm doubting I repeat "I CAN DO IT" and it helps a lot. It doesn't have to do with winning, is about you knowing you are playing at your full capacity.

I'm dealing with failure at a really critical level and right now I'm burned out, constantly frustrated and quite depressed. I'm so committed to improving that's why I can't stop when people say take a break and I know while I don't stop I'm not helping my mindset. I really need help because so much losing can really destroy a man's confidence and I have absolutely no clue what to do now.

    • @SunlessPeriwinkle
      @SunlessPeriwinkle 4 роки тому

It's the same with me, but this way of thinking helped me a lot hope it works for you: stop resisting, stay calm. Keep reminding yourself that eh you'll do better in the next match, even if you lose IT DOSENT MATTER. If you loosen everything up, and stop expecting for the best you'll naturally do your best. Play it at your own pace/comfort, replicating sweet techniques interferes with our pace, since each one has it's own it's harder to improve your gameplay in a blink of an eye. so just play/practice at your own pace instead of instantly going beyond your limits, it takes time and that's okay. I've noticed most of us get sucked in so much that it drains our focus as we get anxious, but first and foremost, the key is staying calm, if u lose, burst a laugh it helps... I Personally laugh at the ways I die to make it humorous.

Gaming sense age 5 started in 2004 gamecube and then went to ps2 rachet and clank then to call of duty I played fps shooters for 12 years I have the strength and knowledge and when i focus up and not over think I play unreal and with ease I guess sense doing it so long I can flow and adapt so easy but my mindset held me back I play apex legends and I do it well hope everyone can to.

Obviously, I’ve had my Chance, I took Risks… and they didn’t pay off, feeling like all of it… was Not Meant To Be.
Besides, I recently had a Flashback on a past saying that I was told… which ended up being the real truth. That saying… “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
Which, I finally see is true, I wanted it, but Reality says I can’t have it, it’s not meant for me… none of it. The High Ranks, Being Up On Stage at Official Tournaments or Championships, going down in Video Game History… all that time, all that time I was “Chasing After a Pipe Dream”. I Lost a lot of Time that I can’t make back now.
So, there is something that all of them have that I don’t. But, can’t bother finding out what it is now… I Moved On.

I have a question. I am on my way to become a really good player in Fortnite. I have good aim and I can build fast but I am not so smart and I make bad decisions and do stupid things in buildingbattles that cause me to lose. How can I improve this?

Tatael I’ve noticed that you almost get a similar feeling to an adrenaline rush when you are in higher performance environment (ex: fast paced build battle) . So I would suggest to ground yourself inside /outside of the game and try to relax. When you don’t think about it, it usually comes naturally as long as you put in the common effort. You’re in game IQ will always keep growing as you gain experience.

eAthlete Labs But I am relax when I play but I think I make bad rotations and choices when there are no enemies. So I just have to play more to become better at it?

Tatael just take mental notes or even physical notes if you are more of a visual person on what you did wrong. Focus on finding solutions or other ways you can approach the situation the next time a something similar happens. So yes, keep playing and Learn as you go. No problem !

eAthlete Labs Thanks m8. I am on my way to become better at the game for 3-4 months and I was on vacation for 2 weeks so I missed the new s5 but now I am back on my level. Your video inspiring me to learn more.
