    I literally just had the last of my relaxed hair cut yesterday. I feel wonderful! It took me two and a half years to transition. My hair is still below my shoulder length and healthy. Transitioning requires patience and a lot of attention to minimize breakage, but it can be done.

      I’m on the same journey of over 40 years of relaxer since October 2023. I do a lot of wash and roller sets. Blow the roots smooth but in 3days it reverts back. I’m considering on doing the big chop. This getting expensive and time consuming.

    For anybody transitioning I did it 3-31/2 years MINIMAL CUTTING and all my hair reverting back to it’s natural state. So it can transition back it just takes years literally.

      Same here. It took me 3 years to grow the relaxer out. I deep conditioned every wash day. My hair is so strong and healthy. I dust my ends every two months, as needed. I stay away from all blow dryers and flat irons. 6 years a natural and enjoying the journey.

      Thanks for the info:) it’s been 1 year for me and a little over half is still relaxed. I think I only need 1 more year for my relaxed hair to be fully grown out.

      It depends on how long your hair is if it's already short transitioning doesn't take as long

    I’m doing the same but my hair is so hard to manage and kinky- a comb won’t even pass through. What products do you recommend please? Like moisturisers or conditioners

    • @shannainspireshair9038
      @shannainspireshair9038  Рік тому

      I have nothing specific I could tell you.
      You have to try diff. Products. And it’s all if you are wearing it straight or curly.

      If a comb won’t pass through you need to soften your hair, because that means the inner parts of the hair are dry, so you will need to apply warm water to your hair (preferably distilled because it doesn’t have Chlorine nor minerals) and use queen Helene hair cholesterol to and start detangling with a wide tooth comb or pick and then a tangle teezer brush to smooth the knots out. After that-rinse the cholesterol out and dab the excess water out with a microfiber towel be sure to leave the hair semi-damp and start moisturizing by using a oil moisturizer lotion like motions and blue magic grease to seal the moisture in and start styling, you can do this mid week before a wash day if your hair is prone to Matting and tangles.

      You don’t necessarily need the comb to pass through because you can cause breakage. You have to learn how to use it without the frame of mind of needing it to pass through or finger detangle.

    Relaxers are linked to uterine cancer. It’s not worth it.
