RIP my dude. A true unsung hero that never got the recognition they deserved. I've always recommended Budgie to people who have almost never heard of them. I'll keep the name alive. Man, what a band.
The fabulous Burke Shelly of superb band Budgie. Fabulous band, fabulous guy. Miss seeing them at your peril. Best wishes & regards to all Budgie fans 🤘

THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING OF MY EPIC REVIEW REGARDING BUDGIE BY THE WAY, MY BEST ONE ALBUM FROM THE GROUP WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE _"BUDGIE ONE FROM 1971. A "MASTERPIECE!" We, Belgians, have a connection with the Welsh. Not so much in language but more in Blood. When Julius Caesar chased us from our grounds back in 55 BC, a lot of "us" fled to Britanny in France and then crossed the channel to arrive in England. Engel Land. Land of the Angels. Coming from French Brittony and seeing the lands we arrived at were the same as in France, we called it "the Greater Brittony" or, hey, Great Brittan. Towns like Brighton were originally Belgian settlements. Anyway, I saw Budgie three years in a row at the Reading Rock Festival. 1980, 1981 and 1982. Best three-piece band I ever saw and heard, despite Motorhead and ZZ-top.
Thanks to Steve, Budgie's drummer I was directed here, how fantastic! Great editing for sure, I worked on this Tour and we dont have alot or any footage of full tunes, brilliant! x
Underrated is a term often used by fifteen year old kids who have just discovered an existing legend but it really applies the truly great rock band Budgie. My first live band at The Greyhound, Croydon. Sunday, 25th April 1976 and still have Never Turn Your Back on a Friend, In For the Kill and Bandolier on vinyl. Up there with the very best.
My favourite track of theirs. To be honest, this is the best video and audio combination I've seen of them since I saw them twice live at the end of the seventies. I should have seen them a third time in St Albans in1980 as they were on equal billing with Ozzy, on his first tour, promoting the " Blizzard of Ozz" album. Unfortunately Burke had laryngitis and they didn't perform. At least I saw Ozzy with Randy Rhoads.
They are criminally underrated. Only the Poles as a country truly appreciate them. (Great people the Poles). Best Welsh band ever and one of the best British heavy bands.
thanks for sharing this footage with us Blacksun . Amazing stuff. Great to see so many folks commenting and younger guys and gals discovering Budgie with fresh ears..... Just awesome.
Hey guys, although Shelly is gone now I e been rocken with these guys since the late 70’s they were one of my favorite bands. You guys knew how how to jam hard. You came to my town a couple of times San Antonio received you well with Kmac kiss stone city attractions.
It's so sad to see legends go into the Olimpus. There goes one of the most cryminally underrated musician in the heavy metal story, may there be peace at his rest. R.I.P. Burke Shelly🐦
Гениальная банда!!!!! И не заслуженно обойденная вниманием и славой! Браво,попугайчики!!! Вы просто красавцы,самобытные и неповторимые! С уважением и любовью from Ukraine.
Absolutely stupendous, Thank you, Love Budgie, A classic rock band, I love this song, Peace, love to everyone, Thank you universe 🎸🤟🤘😃😁♾️🌌🐺👁🐉✨️😀❤️💞🥰🌈🛸🧝♀️🦄😁💫
In a way. But not so much. Since Zeppelin had already brought this sound in and other 70's bands that came after Zeppelin 🤔 - Barracuda with Hearts and something in the same ballpark comes to mind as well
My uncle always wore beat up budgie concert shirts . Guess I never really knew who they were or rwhat it even meant for that matter , Now I see why . RIP Uncle Bill ✌️

Read the the info dude. It is studio version of the song. I filmed them preforming it live and re synced my footage to the original track. As i was working in film at the time, it was a test for sync.

One of the best bands I saw a few times in the seventies, along with Stray and the Pink Fairies they were the best.
"All in your mind"
Budgie rocks! Saw them once at the Sunken Gardens in San Antonio where they recorded that concert ~ 2002.
You did a great job of resurrecting this historical event for those of us starved for a product like this
