that guitarist is awesome. considering the amount of layered music this band put out in each song, its a wonder why they never got a rhythum guitarist.. for a trio, budgie sure sounds like a band with 4-5 members in it! amazing band!

I got into budgie after hearing them on the Friday rock show with Tommy Vance around 1979, I also lost my Vinyl albums and have recently started to collect them again after an amazing coincidence - I found out that one of my work mates is Burke's son!!!! I have since been to see them at the Point in Cardiff with him and met the man himself and the rest of the band; to say I was chuffed would be an understatement.

Wow, i have been into Budgie since 1975! This brings back memories! They had the perfect groovy rhythms, Disco, funk, metal, blues, punk, and jazz, but they put all those influences into a very unique style... Budgie was one of a kind!!

I got turned on to this band after reading about how much Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) loved them in the '70s, and how their love of Budgie is what brought Dave and Lars Ulrich (Metallica) together in the beginning. If you haven't read it, pick up a copy (or buy the audio version on iTunes) of MUSTAINE. Great piece of rock history. And man, what a fkd up life he had!

I am so happy I decided to check these guys out. Huge Metallica fan (became aware of Budgie after hearing the Tallica cover). IMO nothing good in the new rock so I go back to the influences of my fav bands. I asked Old Man Pete from work if he's any albums from Budgie, he came back the next day w/ Bandolier (he never really go into them cuz they weren't "Sabbath" enough for him) but after hearing side 1, I became an instant fan. I'm just pissed I haven't listened to these guys eariler!!! ROCK ON

The album this came off ("Bandolier") was just an absolute 70's classic. The guys finally shook off their production woes that beset their earlier material and produced an album of polished but still eminently rockable gems. This, along with I can't see my Feelings and Napolean Bona Parts 1 and 2 are essential listens in the Budgie Pantheon. Thanks for posting it.

I knew they did the OGWT but didnt know what songs they I also saw Budgie twice in the late 80s and met Ray and Burke at a 6 Ton Budgie convention in 94. Burke mentioned in the early 70s that when in Poland they were filmed everywhere they went. Any 40 something Polaks out there LOL. AWESOME BAND and Cuckooland has some fine moments too. If you know the other OGWT songs-Would love to know.

Truly great stuff from my youth and even now you can't beat a good bit of british rock.
Went to see them with my buddies in '75 in Birmingham and screen printed t shirts for us all (budgie in a spaceman suit) and the name logo down the side. Told the guys not to go to the stage door as I would be in shit street.....beer gets the better of everyone. Shelley told us how he wasn't happy..f...g b....ds....etc and wanted the shirts!! Cold train ride home to Coventry, Great video posting, thanks.
