There is a reason they did it this way. This one is definitely done in honor of Shawn and the group. I love it! Go Rob!!! Thanks for the Home Free reactions
This was Home Free's tip of the hat to Boyz II Men. Shawn Stockman was one of the judges on The Sing-Off. It's okay to prefer the original. Rob does rise to the occasion.
Shawn Stockman loves Home Free and approved this ❤❤
Well, you didn't HATE it 😉 Always appreciate honesty😊
Oh Rob and the boys did an Amazing job!!!
Shawn Stockman of Boyz ll Men wanted Home Free to do this and was his decision on how they should sing it. It's cool that you're honest. Some love it some not so much. Suggestions, Dive Bar Saints and Dreamer these are Home Free originals
Yes to both! Suggest Dreamer, LIVE at the Ryman version feat. Texas Hill. Tim does a great mid-song intro of everyone that’s really fun.
Shawn was one of the judges on the sing off and the group really respected Boys to men and did this with the blessings of Shawn. I think the guys did a rendition of this.
Personally I’m a Pentaholic but I like to listen to ANY song that is sung well & this was. 💜💜💜
Go off Rob! They sound great!
I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads, fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion that makes it complete.
Your opinion is your opinion !!! I happen to love this version but others might not. There is a concensus though. They did the best cover ever
Rob was great. An emotional attachment to a group/song does make it difficult to be totally objective. Understand your reaction.
I felt the same way my first few listens, but it eventually became my favorite of the two. Even after relistening to the original.
Not bad for country Boyz! 😂😂 I liked it but I agree with you the original can’t be beat! Thanks for the candor!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
In of the Road. Zach thank you for playing this song. Home Free did great job with this song. Rob and Austin did good. Tim low voice, I love the way they sang this song.
They killed this! Sawn Stockman who was the judge on The Sing-Off the year they won encouraged them to do this. Ron took us to church. Love your reaction!
On the other hand, had it not been for Home Free, I never would have heard this song. You call it iconic, but I never had listened to it and had no idea who Boyz II Men are. There are musical rocks in this world, and some of us live under them! Now, I'll listen to the original.
The GREATEST!! 🥰♥️🎶
Masterpiece

Rob has the most beautiful, versatile voice. The video with his rendition of "Spaceship" also has his lovely wife & adorable children. Almost anything they sing will sound a little 'country' 'cuz 3 of them are from southern states (Tim - southeast Texas, Chance - Alabama, Austin - south Georgia). Both Adam & Rob are from Minnesota.

@Zack Reacts... this was done per the request of Shawn Stockman to be done in the same as possible style... The only change BIIM asked was the Bass talking portion.. There have been many opinions as to why but I have never read or heard of an exact reason from either group...
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. I'm sure he loved their version of this song.
Let me introduce you to Gospel Rob! #HomeFree
😂 totally off topic.....but you totally remind me of dylan mcdermott
If they’d have changed it, it would have RUINED it! It’s too iconic & they respected the original. Beautiful
To quote Shawn Stockman "Country music ... is just a white mans' R&B". You are not the first reactor to have misgivings when going into this song. Most of them were afraid that it wouldn't be 'the same', so your feeling of disappointment because it WAS the same is an interesting take. I do sort of understand it, though. As you said, it isn't that they did it badly - but that sound, for you, needs to be B2M.
I actually prefer Home Frees version
Despite your opinion, THYE KILLED THIS! This was NOT one of those that they WANTED to change very much. It was done more as a tribute to Boyz II Men, and NOT done as trying to "update/bedazzle" a cover as they usually do. Can't hit the "like" on this one, even tho you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But, it's "my" opinion you were WAY OFF on this one, and Shawn agrees!
Think Rob brilliant…but personally I don’t like this song…
I've watched dozens of reactions to this and you are the ONLY negative reaction. So, I'm positive I won't watch any more of your reactions.
