I saw them live a few months ago, Tim (the deep base) hit a few notes that made the entire place rumble, dude is nuts. Also they were a hell of a good show.
I've watched so many reactions to this and I love seeing people who know them as mainly country singers just blown away. I was blown away watching it the first time and they still give me goosebumps. When you were talking about Rob being like your fourth grade history teacher. all I could think was "hold on to your chair he is just getting started". Love your reaction and I subscribed.
What amazes me is that Boyz II Men sang this to a backing track. Where as these guys are an A Capella group, but it sure doesn't sound like it, does it. The guy who started the song is Rob Lundquist- their tenor. The second guy Austin Brown (tall skinny dude) is their high tenor. The guy with the deep voice is their bass man with a 5+ octave vocal range, Tim Foust. Right behind Tim is their incredible beatboxer extrodinaire, Adam Rupp holding down all those beats. The more videos you watch, you'll see just how good this guy really is. And last but not least, is Adam Chance (who goes by the name of Chance.) He is their baritone/bass and also has a 4 octave vocal range. And while he can't reach the depths that Tim can, yet, he and Tim often switch off doing the bass part. When they were on the Sing-Off back on season 4 (which they won) Shawn Stockman was so impressed with both Austin and Tim's voice's, and Adam's beatboxing abilities. I think he'd be so proud of these guys, and what they were able to do with one of their songs. Thank you. I just subscribed, hoping to see you do more Home Free in the future. In the mean time. I hope you get well soon.
I love Home Free! I've been following then for a few years and have seen them live in concert! So awesome! Adam does a drum solo and you'd swear he was playing actual drums!! 😎💜
Certainly not to discredit the Home free guys, but I'm hearing a backing track here. Vocally produced, to be sure, but just some icing on the cake with a chord hitting on the 4th beat in the choruses.
@Dianna Thompson Oh I'm aware that everything heard in this track is produced by the human voice, I am simply acknowledging that in this song, they have added another layer of vocally produced audio on top of their voices that are singing the words if the chorus in three part harmony. It is a common thing to do, for a capella groups.
Don't forget to tell the audience that they are A Capella. That's their beatboxer doing the drums. A good one to hear Tim (bass w/ 5 octave range) and Austin's (high tenor) voices is their "Thinking Out Loud/ Let's Get it On" mash-up. I think you'll love it, especially Tim's part. Please do more Home Free!!!
This is still so good.. it's how I even found Home Free - such an amazing group to be able to take classics, modernize them while stayin' country. 👏 👏👏
Boyz II Men with a country twist!!!! Loved this song way back in 91!! Now I'm watching in 30yrs later in 2021 fallin in love with it all over again!!!!! Love Boyz II Men & I Love Home Free!!!!
Tim Foust has one of the deepest bass voices out there.. Pentatonix had Avi Kaplan.. These guys ive watched since their Sing Off Competition.. Ring if Fire with Avi Kaplan is awesome!! And their How Great Thou Art is spectacular..
Sick or not, your reaction was great! Home Free is an awesome group. Each member is so talented on their own, but together they are extraordinary! Please react to more of their music and their fans (Home Fries) will gladly watch. Try Butts Mix, My Church or Love Train. Their beatboxer sounds so much like drums, we forget there are no instruments. Hope you feel better soon.
Home Frees Man of Constant Sorrow next please, and then most anything else they do is great, they're right up there as good as Pentatonix and I've been a pentaholic since the Sing Off days. Have to add Ring of Fire by Home Free with Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix the bass in that from Tim and Avi is just an ear orgasm.
Welcome to the Home Fry (Home Free fan name) invasion. These guys are good! And they sing all genres of music. Man of Constant Sorrow, Do You Hear What I Hear, Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On will knock your socks off. All About That Bass, Champagne Taste (on a beer budget), The Butts Remix, and Country Fried Pop Medley will have you rolling on the floor. I love Fishin' in the Dark/Boondocks, Everything Will Be Okay, Good O'l Country Harmony, Good Ol' Boy Good Time and Woman Amen/Female. There are just too many to mention and all are good. I'm sure someone else said this, but Tim, the bass, is one of the lowest. This is nothing. He can do that low growl that has actually broke their speaker in the live concert! Was super funny. He's taught Avi from PTX and others to use that to go even lower. But also Chance in the back row in this one sings bass and sometimes he takes the lower part when Tim is singing solos, etc. They are super, super talented and music majors in college and Austin the high tenor was classically trained. A lot of talent in one group for sure! And they are super fun and funny. Watch some live shows to find that out! Thanks so much.
This got me thinking you that you gotta do, I swear by John Michael Montgomery and all-4-one they recorded it together 20 years after they originally did they song separately

Yo, what's happenin, bro? If you haven't done this yet, check out their take on "auld lang syne". You'll be blown away by the harmonies and the pureness in their voices. I guarantee it. That low voice you're hearing is tim foust, the main bass guy.
I love your energy and positivity! It's so refreshing among all the trolls. A great song to clearly hear how ridiculously low Tim can go is, Honey I'm Good. When you're ready to hear him sing Lead Vocals hit up, Hillbilly Bone. Stay cool, Bro! 😎
Tim Foust is singing bass. You definitely need to check out their new video Everybody walking this land. Not because of Tim's performance but this song speaks the truth.
Feel better! I'm a new subscriber.. and a Home Free fan, of course. Loved your reaction to the unexpected talent that is Home Free... I think you would enjoy any song of theirs. Try listening to The Sing Off Season Four with Sean Stockman as one of the judges... he just loved Home Free (particularly Austin Brown the high tenor who can "fly". ) One of those songs is a must listen to.. Ring of Fire, a Johnny Cash song that showcases Tim's ( super bass) voice... hang onto your seat for the final notes! How Great Thou Art is awesome too..
Love your reaction to these guys! They are AWESOME! On a side note: I have to ask about that Poster behind your head of the Girl, What or is it Who is that? I cannot recall!
The bass, Tim, is naturally a bass, but he's got such a great range that he can go tenor at will. I recommend watching his duet with Peter Hollens doing A Capella cover of Green Sleeves.
Hey Billy, if you like the bass in this one, check out them doing Ring of Fire featuring Avi Kaplan. Home Free's bass Tim Faust absolutely kills it at the end of the tune.
THANK YOU!! Tim Foust is your bass guy. I am going to go see them live in July! I got a front row seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE do more of them; suggestions from the other Home Fries below. BTW, I'm the one that tweerted you LOL
I agree with everybody suggest of home free There is not one bad song that they sing They have very serious song then they have some silly and funny ones I have been listening to them for several years now They are on their way to Australia and many more places abroad There are 5 guys Long dark haired Tim sings bass And he can get very low then Austin who sings tenor Long brown hair Then there is Rob who sang lead in this song then the beatboxer is Adam then Chance is the other guy He sing alittle bit of everything I simple love their togetherness and how they can collide to sing the way they do Country Appella No 1
DUDE! I know what you are going through with your voice. Mine's only starting to recover. Lost it first week of October, again first week of December, and AGAIN the first week of January!!!!!! Yeah. (Breathing meds from now on...and on...and on) Home Free is really spectacular to hear. They do some 5 part harmony in different songs, and it's always interesting to hear what they do when they arrange a song. Chance sings the bass line in the background on this song, while Tim sings the baritone line. Listen to the song again, and watch the beatboxing. Adam Rupp-world class beatboxer...kills it on every song. Hard to believe that their voices are the only instruments, right!!?? (At their concerts, they joke that they can't afford any, so...this is their solution.) :) I think that you would even thoroughly enjoy their country songs. They have such a sense of humor that they put into their lives, and it shows in some of their videos. "Butts Remix" is a good one..Also they have a mix with a Marvin Gaye song. (You'll die laughiing to the "Butts Remix" medley.) Thanx, Mindy
Home Free is amazing, each of them are incredible singers. They can do no wrong.
Home Free is a joy to listen to, they can do any genre and any decade. Love me some Home Free anytime, anywhere!

Bing watching!! ❤😘
That’s Adam Rupp doing the amazing beat boxing.
Tim Faust along with Ari Kaplan of Pentatonix are amazing Bass singers.
Love You Baby❤🧡🧡🧡💋
Check out Home Free "Cover Me Up" where Adam Chance proposal at the end of the video where he asks Sami to marry him
The guys in the back round is actually singing
THANK YOU!! Tim Foust is your bass guy. I am going to go see them live in July! I got a front row seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE do more of them; suggestions from the other Home Fries below. BTW, I'm the one that tweerted you LOL
I agree with everybody suggest of home free There is not one bad song that they sing They have very serious song then they have some silly and funny ones I have been listening to them for several years now They are on their way to Australia and many more places abroad There are 5 guys Long dark haired Tim sings bass And he can get very low then Austin who sings tenor Long brown hair Then there is Rob who sang lead in this song then the beatboxer is Adam then Chance is the other guy He sing alittle bit of everything I simple love their togetherness and how they can collide to sing the way they do Country Appella No 1
Check out their version of Oh holy night BREATHTAKING
DUDE!
I know what you are going through with your voice. Mine's only starting to recover. Lost it first week of October, again first week of December, and AGAIN the first week of January!!!!!! Yeah. (Breathing meds from now on...and on...and on)
Home Free is really spectacular to hear.
(At their concerts, they joke that they can't afford any, so...this is their solution.) :)
I think that you would even thoroughly enjoy their country songs. They have such a sense of humor that they put into their lives, and it shows in some of their videos. "Butts Remix" is a good one..Also they have a mix with a Marvin Gaye song. (You'll die laughiing to the "Butts Remix" medley.)
Thanx,
Mindy
So you mentioned your history teacher ... fun fact, Tim Faust (the bass) was teaching middle school math before joining Home Free.
Rob rocks this song.
