I love, love, love Boyz II Men and this song was one of my all time favorites. So....when I heard Home Free was going to take this song on I was a bit worried they wouldn't be able to do it justice. Silly me. lol! They not only did it justice, but they sang the Holy He** out of it, especially Rob. Rob showed us a whole other side of him with those vocal gymnastics. Go Rob!!!
Not to put down BIIM because they did it beautifully back in the day, but Home Free had a richer sound, a tighter harmony, and all without the assist of instruments!! They never fail to knock it out of the park!
They did so good on this, as they do, I really can't wait to watch them do it live on the stage. Got my tickets for a May concert so I'm hoping they will do this one. Thanks for the reaction 2LOOKER!

They took a pretty big risk here- luckily it was a risk worth taking. PTX took same risk with covering Bohemian Rhapsody. Just goes to show that both these groups are continuing their mission to bring a cappella music to the masses and viewed as respected genre. We are slowly getting there And I agree, where the hell gas Rob been hiding with those runs?! Damn! If you want to showcase your comment about the voice being considered an instrument rather than just singing along to you instruments, I STRONGLY suggest nyou react to the “Silent Night Live” official video on the ptxoffical page. It is 100% raw, live vocals. No mics or production work. They are singing inside a corridor of a gorgeous old church which produced a beautiful natural reverb. I promise you won’t be disappointed! And yes, it’s still close enough past Christmas to still be acceptable! 🎄🎄
I grew up listening to Boys II Men, All 4 One, and all that. Home Free did a really good job with this one. I'm glad they didn't try to make it really "country" like other people would. Now, I love country music, but this is an R & B song. Love it!
I've seen two reactors do a comparison of this original and the HF version. I think that when folks are moved to compare original to cover then it is a huge compliment and there is no loser. Great video.
@2looker A TRUE Boyz II Men connoisseur (aka #SOLZ for over 25 years) appreciates their EXTENSIVE catalog, & so this is only one of a plethora of their songs that are thought of when thinking of Boyz II Men... but I digress. I can appreciate this version, as they did take a HUGE bite of audacity, but backed it up by being able to swallow it instead of choking on it! While there were some subtle nuisances that were missed, they certainly did better than most who've dared to attempt it.
