The US international keyboard layout supports majority of Latin alphabets with the use of AltGr and dead keys. No need to customize.
That is exactly what got me down this rabbit hole! But default AltGr layouts only support one to two languages (usually English has French), while dead keys aren't practical when you need to type things like üzüldüğünü
