Amazing facts
Thanks for the facts! I was in Lithuania for a few months last year, one hour north of Vilnius (NATO base in Pabrade). I’m American but German soldiers were living there too. We would visit Vilnius on weekends, also seen other parts of Lithuania.
Lithuanians told me: Poland and Lithuania were the same country for a time. Lithuanian language is not Slavic and they are not Slavs. They often ride recreational private owned hot air balloon. Lithuanians were the last pagan religion country in Europe. There are many miles of yellow fields (I heard it’s canola oil production). Lithuanians insist they are Central Europeans not Eastern Europeans. Most can speak Russian but wish they didn’t.
Absolutely! I agree with every point ;) good lessons taken from the country!
We Are Northern Europeans if only use Europe Land excluding water, but if you take complete Europe Territory with water 100% we are Central Europe.
"Most can speak Russian but wish they didn't"
Can't say better
Also India and Lithuania are culturally and linguistically connected to each other since ancient times.
It is true! Both are coming from the Indo-European family of langauges. Apparently, Lithuanian is the most similar to Sanskrit of all of the European languages :)

Amazing facts indeed! A lithuanian youtuber living here in Mexico "Ambar en México" made me being interested in the country and its vibrant culture. Later learned that once famous comedian actor in Mexico, Estanislao Schillinsky Bachanska (aka Shilinksy) was lithuanian!
How interesting!
I'm American from Bronx New York. There used to be a large Baltic & Ukranian community here but they found and fulfilled the American Dream and moved away " upstare New York" or elsewhere in America. I'm Irish American, 80, single, retired English ESL professor have 5 siblings, 1 in Paris, other 4 siblings in USA. I want to visit all3 Baltic countries in summer 2025, after Biden is re-elected. My Turkish name is because i was American Peace Corps Volunteer near Istanbul for 5 years. I speak & write & sing Turkish in Türkçe.

did you know, that first president of Poland Republic was actually lithianian Gabriel Narutowicz?
So interesting! I didn’t know that Gabriel Narutowicz was born in Lithuania, a very cool fact!
There were two brothers Gabriel and Stanisław Narutowicz. One decided to be Polish, the second one decided to be Lithuanian.
❤❤❤for?
Adomas Mickevičius was Lithuania but a Polish people's say he was Polish
Actually, technically he was born in Belarus. And yes, he was writing about Lithuania, but doing it in Polish. There’s a lot of dispute where Adam Mickiewicz belonged but I think it can’t be said he was only one or another.
It's not a competition. He was both. He wrote in Polish but complained that he can't write poetry in Lithuanian because even he could speak it he couldn't write properly
Are you the resident?
I was living there as a student :)
me puedo casar con vos?
Jajajaj me estás halagando 😂

I’m really good, thanks!
Hlo darling h r u
dura fak fak..................
Lithuania has a big Jewish community
Not so big anymore, a bit less than 1% of the whole population. The Jewish Community used to be very big historically, during the Lithuania - Poland Commonwealth and in general, before the World War Two until the holocaust happened or many Jewish people fled.
