I’ve regretted selling that guitar for 22 years.
I pulled the trigger on a tribute on eBay and it’ll be here Tuesday.
I’ve learned how to work on my guitars over the years, and as long as there’s good bones, I’m sure it’ll be a good player.
I’ve always wanted a Jem too. I can’t wait to see how this one turns out.

Hey Mike I was checking out that seller last time you gave us a store number I couldn't find it to save my life😅 I'm glad you put the link actually now I looked through their stuff but nothing really jumps out at me at least some of the shapes of guitars do but not the colors... but I did see a Malmsteen signature scalloped neck replica ST guitar that's under 200 bucks😮 I think would be a great one to review on the channel... I haven't played guitar with scallop frets in probably 20 years so I'm not sure if I would like it but the guitar looks pretty stinking cool! I'm not really a big Les Paul fan but I love your channel and your videos keep the content coming brother!
Thanks brother. I stay away from 200 dollar tribute guitars. They usually tend to suffer in QC. If I do,one, it would be a custom order to my specs. I rather pay a bit more and not have to change everything. I learned quickly that even chibsons have price points. Scalloped fretboard always make me go sharp. Lol I don't have that light touch. 😅

🌐 I bought my first two tribute LP's in 23 and I know I'll have a tribute Jem at my front door in 24. Ibanez has never let me down, and so far, Chinese builds have been just as satisfying. great review !! .. Ibanez guitars are fantastic mostly.. have an AMAZING PLAYABILITY AND NECK.. but some dont like the hollow tone form the pickups mounted to the pickguard.. I find them amazing to play.. and the neck is everything.. getting OW action on such a flat radius board is easy.. The lack of string retainer is a no-no.. as it is critical to staying in tune as those strings put pressure on the locking nuts if not following the SLOPE of the nut.. also curious about the longevity of the trem system.. and quality.. one of Ibanez main features is the quality of design and material of the EDGE / ZERO EDGE trems.. very surprised that the neck is laminated and properly WIZARD style.. that is usually lacking.. looks like a winner..

Maybe you've done this before, but as an individual who doesn't have even close to the budget for $3k+ guitars, if it's possible I, and maybe others, would love a list of some sort of builders list you have had success with. I bout a Chibson on eBay about three weeks ago and I'm having serious problems getting them to communicate with me. They've told me confusing things during the process; which makes me very leery. The benefit I have is I will likely get my money back if I don't receive the guitar because it's eBay. I don't want to have this issue again on the AliExpress, DHGate, or any other Chinese website in the future.
I know I may be asking a lot, but your posting of this Ibenez store makes me already feel better. Thanks for all you do.

I think a "Gotoh 1996t" will fit that body. They are just like floyd rose original and made with the same German metal. The original Ibanez Edge is actually made by Gotoh as well. The Gotoh 1996T is about $110. you cant go wrong with the Gotoh replacement.

Now seriously though the Chibanez I want to see is their attempt at an Ibanez ICJ100WZ . The real Ibanez J Iceman are impossible to find and the last one I saw for sale several years ago were asking close to 4,000 dollars for it. I’ve always wanted one since I was a kid and the only way I’ll ever be able to have anything close is probably a Chinese “tribute” . I don’t know if you’re into WZ or the Iceman shape but it would make for an epic video of a unique and unavailable guitar, see you could order it up make a video on it and then let me host a “contest” pick a winner for you to give it too after your video, oooh and yeah we have a winner the winner is me funny how that worked out I promise it was fair and you wouldn’t want to be a “contest denier”
Can someone with experience please answer... These Chinese guitars, are they set up to standard dimensions? For instance, if I want to switch out parts with the "real" ones, will they fit? Will a real Floyd Rose fit? Will a real Gibson tailpiece fit into the Les Pauls? Thanks for your input.

I have no clue. It works for me.
I got 2 Ibanez PIA copies. They had weird cut outs on the body, fake holes for the nut who’s bolts were just in the wood. The hardware was all cheap. In process of redoing them. Recontouring the body and refinishing. Neck was thin and plays well. Putting new hardware and redoing whole thing.

"this neck is very very thin", neck is 30% thicker than it's supposed to be.
I'm not sure what you are trying to say. This neck is close to a Wizard III. Thats what I said.
A Wizard III is 0.75-0.83” 1st-12th. 1.69-2.28” nut to last fret. 15.75” radius. This is virtually identical to a W3.. Its not a 17" radius like the Wizard 1st Gen. The difference in thickness between this neck and the neck that comes on a 10th anniversary Jem is around 0.08" +/- 0.01 not 30%.
