I normally park my car far away from the places I am conducting 1st Amendment audits at and just walk there on foot. This day was a little different. Mark decides to harrass me and calls police. Almost gets himself arrested.

I have been a security guard a long time, I always show respect to people I encounter. But I do not ,always stay calm as I should if I get a nasty response. Watching these videos has been great extended training for me.
Just keep in mind that you do not get paid enough to put your azz in any type of danger, unless it’s absolutely necessary, and someone not showing you respect is not.

If you get bored with auditing you'd be an excellent preschool teacher. You maintained a positive tone and demeanor despite Mark's childish tantrums. Incorporating both verbal and physical techniques for problem solving with that "spin around' tactic was great. At first it was like watching a kid keep trying to jam a square peg in the round hole but you got him there in the end.
Same with the officer, where someone else might have given up and called his parents to recommend heavy doses of Adderall or Ritalin you masterfully took control and diffused the situation. And without his ego exploding. Hell, then you managed a fist bump out Mark...

I've watched a 1000 Audits. I've never seen a homeowner come out and actually apologise. My hat's off to that guy
He put himself in a box, at least he had the intelligence to recognise it.
but he didn't really apologize though. An apology is when you admit you were wrong he insisted he was right even as he said the words "I apologize". That's not how an apology works.
If someone attacks me then under threat of a PPA "apologizes" but keeps insisting he was right then that PPA stands and he is going to learn in court how wrong he was.
