I have and love both screens! I feel it comes down to preference though. The Funnyplaying has higher saturation, but for me personally, it’s too high and too far from the original color saturation. I think the OLED and especially the Analogue Pocket get closer to what the developers intended
Well said! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I guess I'm kinda leaning more towards the oversaturated IPS, but all these are such nice screens it really comes down to personal preference at this point yeah. It's tough to beat this amoled panel though.
Hi, how's the quality of the transparent/clear shell and plastic button of the Hispeedo OLED package? Are the plastics good quality? ALso which transparent shell is the most stunning from Hispeedo? The clear royal blue, clear green, clear purple, clear light blue or another transparent color from Hispeedo? Thank you. God bless you.
I’ve had issues with this screen and a flash card. Resetting the screen after booting into a game seems to resolve the issue, but it starts again on reboot. Anyone experience something similar?
@@KeiRetroGaming it’s weird. It’ll flicker and become blurrier until it’s like 8 split images and then it stops. Resetting fixes it but it’ll do it again until the system is “warmed up” for about 5 mins. Then it doesn’t do it on start up and works fine. Super weird.
Did you order it from the official store? I built a second one and I'm pretty sure the official store sends out a better shell than 3rd party sellers but I'm not entirely positive on that.
@@KeiRetroGaming Official store. Case had some minor fitment issues, no big deal, once screwed it looked perfect (white case and black screen, man it looks cool). But the buttons they've sent sunk fast into the shell when pressed, felt mushy. Original were more springy, responsive - just a subjective feeling.
What screen do you prefer?
I really enjoyed this kit. Very easy to mount an incredibly sharp and colourful!
Glad you like it! Such a nice panel.

I was trying to decide which color shell to go for, Matte black looks amazing in photos, but you sold me on Clear Black
It looks so good in person! I definitely don't have any regrets picking it.
Does the FunnyPlaying GBC PCB fit into the AliExpress Shell?
I don't believe so but I could be wrong on that. I sold the funny playing gbc and kept the amoled one.

Does the screen flicker or shut off?

I went with the AMOLED set, its screen is just awesome. Case was okay-ish... but buttons and membranes kinda suck.

after oled you can't go back
I want to find a backlight kit for a GBC, these new fancy screens aren't for me.
Im still waiting for my analogue pocket clone that isnt FPGA. I do love the analogue pocket screen so thats my choice
It's tough to beat that bright vibrant panel on the pocket. Hopefully we'll see a good emulation based pocket clone one day.
