They did it right by making the fuel cut like .05 seconds, sounds insanely good
I had a 2022 Corolla XSE with the 6 speed manual and a custom exhaust. Even with the under 200hp 4 banger, it sounds like a fucking racecar when it smacks the limiter, and I mean SMACKS the limiter

It's more like cutting fuel 0.08 which means 12 pops per second it sounds literally like a gun!
Such a great car. It sounds better than I thought it would. I'd be worried about resonance at cruising speeds.

Just get a catback and keep the resonators on it that come on the catback. No resonators equal nasty drone. Go listen to mine, it has a JoeZ catback, and catless ppe headers but I left the mufflers and resonators. Its for sure louder than the one in this vid.
IS F!! Nothing beats the OEM twin stacked exhaust tips.
Something about that era of Lexus V8 in the IS F and the LC500 that has a rev limiter that says, it hit harder.

I have one with a full catback system. Loud when you want it to be but not super bad in terms of drone, I did a nearly 2 hour trip recently and it was easily forgotten about.

Most people don't. It was Lexus' first performance to compete with the E90/93 V8 M3 and V8 C63 AMG. They made them from 08-14. Only 5,xxx made, and they make an excellent daily/sleeper car

@@camposandres80 yes sirrrr! I had a 2011 FBO E40 tuned white ISF with no back seats, and the spare, jack, and tools removed. It got down and surprised everyone I ran. My favorite run was either a lightly modded CTSV2 coupe (door to door).... A 440whp/500wtq Q60S (I won by half a car up to 150mph)....or a lightly modded 10 speed 5.0 mustang (won by a fender)
I'll get another one day. Unfortunately totalled it, but a buddy bought it, got it rebuilt, and now his son drives and enjoys it 😀

I test drove a 2023 RCF and the car did NOT feel sporty but the LC500’s pedal/throttle response was instant you could rev that all day anytime anywhere.
Were you in sport or sport+ in the RC F?

DO NOT remove resonator. Remove secondary cats. Doing this makes it louder but not raspy.

Yea these cars are absolutely great but there are very few left in America, I think there are less than 3k left. Most people that have one love them and wouldn’t sell it. You have to search deep for one

crazy difference between Toyota/lexus 4.6 V8 and 5.0 V8. Not surprised as the 5.0 is an actual performance engine.

@@AdmiralRustyShackleford Where can you find a JoeZ exhaust nowadays? I picked up an ISF about 3 months ago so looking into the best exhausts.
@@VersanGetryx I don't think they still make them, I can't find a website for them anymore. There's others that make exhausts for the Lexus F cars. I found one called Circuit Werks that looks like a good system, and I would bet Magnaflow and Borla make systems for those.

I love my ISF. Go check out the revs, you'll like it a s an exhaust guy. I promise. FBO catless, but with mufflers. They're going to be gone soon.
Miss my 2011 FBO ISF. I'm probably gonna be looking for another one after I sell my 92 Turbo SC300 since the market is coming back to reality on them. It just checks all the boxes. Infotainment is outdated but it has everything you need, and nothing you don't (except no seat coolers 😅) I do wish it had those but only has seat heaters

It’s not just a performance car but a fuckin isf redlining a PERFORMANCE car especially won’t damage unless you keep at redline too long. I work on my own car but if I had someone rev it I’d want them to redline it 😏stress tests engine too 😎
These can take the rev limiter hit better than most modern cars. The LC/LS500 is even crazier
