    If you remember years ago??? I found this channel looking for safe ways to fall a tree, about this same size and lean without getting smacked in the face. Well...I am still searching!😁
    This technique would have worked well on my tree because it was solid! Thanks for sharing!👍

    That is a slick way , another way I was shown was put the notch in , set your hinge as normal an inch or two above the bottom plate of the notch . Once you punch in and set the hinge cut back do there is only a 2or 3inch strap on the back . Drop below your cut 2 or 3 inch and release. Providing you have good experience with the saw and set a good hinge it will release slow every time and won't Barber hair

    I've watched you explain this several times. Best explanation yet Wade and a demonstration of the 'why' as she tried to blow all apart. Until someone has had one chair on them, they will never appreciate the skill to get one down safely.

    Rotten in the middle, we cut simulator to that but we punch about a 16th of an inch above the notch, leave the back to hold it and then cut it at the back. I always look for a new/safe way to fell a tree. Thank you!!

    Really enjoyed watching you and your family on Ax Men this season..... this whole season was the best I've seen on that show (e.g. lot's of cool, real situations and not a *whole* lot of phony drama :)
    (dumb) Question please.......... why not just come out the back of the tree with the first plung cut? thx.

  • @MattJonesYT
    @MattJonesYT 3 роки тому +1

    Vertical/diagonal cut on the final back strap like with a dog tooth cut would help reduce the splitting at the end, also using a strap or rope around the stem to keep it in one piece.

    I kinda learnt that believe it or not on my own but I've had better luck droppin the backcut below the plunge....watch ol daniel Murphys vid where he jumps that big un over a flower bed...when that plate in front of the back cut is left it rocks over it and lobs the tree forward...he shows it in slow mo ands killer....I'm no pro by any means but what I e learned has been through pros on here and bein in the hills by myself cuttin the worst of the worst...if I'd have failed I wouldn't be typin this...many close calls

    Well $h1t. I commented on another vid asking for more details on the how's and why's of your cuts and looky here at what I ran across. Sorry for being one of those people who shoot off at the mouth before realizing they're loaded with blanks. I guess this is what I get for being lazy and not digging a little bit more. Thanks for doing it though.
