• Logger Wade Cutting Vi...
I could definitely drink beers with these guys
I know right?
Even though I do not drink, the phrase "Someone I'd love to drink a beer with" says all i need about a person.
@@davehertle I don't drink either. I would burn one though....
This is one of my favorite cutting vidja's
Jesus this is like King of the Hill meets extreme logging.
How did you know my name?
Lmao
What is remotely extreme about this?
"Corn bread n baycon", lol that's just awesome, Great job on that leaner....
Good job. I don't know anything about red oak, but I logged cottonwoods for 10 years in the 80s and 90s . I cut millions of board feet and never did carry any wedges, but cottonwoods responded really well to leaving a pulling hinge. Unless the tree leaned excessively I always figured it could be dropped anywhere in about a 160 degree arc.
wade some of the best videos i watch in my opion are of you and stevey having tree cutting competitions and bickering
Travis Peacock thanks bud
4:57 CORNBREAD AND BACON!
"...Where's the 'delete' button?" Ha Ha! Loved it. Amazing!
From this day forth, I will, until the day of my last cut, holler our "Cornbread and bacon!" every time I drop a tree. Thank you Sir for your wisdom and guidance.
Real smart camera man,, standing in front of the notch. The triangle hinge was perfect. Nice job.
Tried out the triple hinge on a Maple today next to a busy highway. It works! Thanks for the video! Great success!
@2:37 "I think I got a wedge in the skidder."
That means two things.
I love burning red oak in my wood burning stove. Burns slow & has a nice aroma.
I hired a guy who'd been cutting trees since he was 12, with his dad. Shoot, he'd have one down in no time. It'd fall whatever way he said it would everytime.
The man knows his stuff. Great job. I personally would not keep walking in the fall path. But I’m sure he knew when it was safe. I never do that reguardases. But to each his own.
That's confidence right there. Lay your saw down Beside the tree as it's falling and calmly walk away.
If Stevie don't stop talking about cornbread and bacon, I'm going to have to get some! Nice job Wade!
Lost my appetite when he was saying "suck my a$@".
The amount of times I have watched this, its unbelievable. LOVE IT.
“That’s sum pritty lookin clouds up-err”.....I feel like we could be friends
Way too much happiness in this video.
"Stevie gonna learn today"
"it's going to be every bit of my capabilities" 😂
I genuinely thought that was Steven Crowder cutting the tree!!! Dang that guy looks AND sounds just like Crowder! Those who’ve watched Louder with Crowder would probably agree.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE AHHAHAHA
Nunu
@@Doostun .
Nn jo
I was thinking it just as I started reading comments...hahaa
Did a tree like that once. Made all my cuts, then went to bed... There was a storm coming through that night. Dropped perfectly.
Perfect execution on that extremely difficult cut, sad that not many people will understand how awesome this fell was.
Yeah no. This red oak barely had any side lean at all..
i think i can i think i can
😮😮😮😊😊
“Stevie gonna learn somethin’ today” - Logger Wade
Boom baby!
I wouldn't mind working with these two dudes, they actually sound like they enjoy their job
Wesley Cooper bb
john mcenroe 🦁🦁
Was thinking the same seem like lads you enjoy spending time with.
Doesn’t matter how shitty the job when you’re working with some good guys..I miss my labor days
sandra dresher mom
Yeeee Hawwwwww........Cornbread n' Bacon!!!!!........Yeeeee Hawwwwwww!!!! You guys are freakin' GREAT!!! I own a Husky 480 that won 6 cutting contests with a 42" bar. When guys try to start it, it has so much compression they think the engine is seized up. I used to cut quite a bit of wood but live in the city now and it hasn't been used in years. Miss those days and really enjoyed your video....
Remember what peace there may be in silence
and that boyz is how its done..
not EXACTLY how ida done it..but it worked.
and his saws the right color as well..
good shit..
This wasn’t just a video. It was an experience.
hahahaha
“Cornbread and bacon!” Lol!
Wade this is one of my favorite cuttin vidjas of all time "OH STEVIE!!!" LOL I just laugh the whole way through
"When in doubt , throttle it out!" Words to live by.
I am absolutely lovin’ the chemistry between these two fellas. You guys are awesome.
Thanks vinny
@@LoggerWade this is so funny
This is the most badass felling job out there. Dude is slicker than cat crap on a hot tin roof.
It would have been more helpful to provide details of what you were doing. You nailed dropping that tree, and it would be great to see exactly how you did it.
The two bore cuts on the high side of the tree were the key. They established the holding wood that kept her from breaking off sideways and falling into the creek.
He called it a "triple hinge" I think. Interesting cut tho.
@@GreyJedi73 if you make two vertical bore cuts you end up with three pieces of holding wood to act as hinges. One on each side and one between the two.
MemphisMechanic so that is to weaken the hinge enough were it will start to fall with wedge pressure but keep it strong enough in the tension wood so it doesnt fall in the wrong direction?
@@whiskey4553 look up what a sizwhill or sizwheel (seen it spelled both ways) is and how to cut one. Similar concept in play here: creating two long sections of uncompromised wood which will hold onto the stump long enough to guide the tree down. A conventional face / bore / back cut would likely have broken long before the triple hinge did, which means he couldn’t steer the tree as far against the lean as he managed. I’ve never tried a triple-hinge myself, understand. Just felled enough to be impressed that it worked so well.
You aint gonna get me being cocky on here stevey lol i love it
Checking chain tension, bare hands, with break off, with saw running... These guys are daredevils before loggers lol.
A couple of cowboys loggers. Had to laugh at all the hooping and hollering like they had already had a couple of beers to start.
Masters are free to take liberties. All types do. But, yea... ha, I noticed too. I love their dirty, silly mouth.
Haha! Seen this too. Love it. Pure adrenaline.
I do it all the time with my echo 490 i trust it more then my old lady.
Expieriance instead of flakey behaviour proves best every time quit listening to mommy she's not a lumberjack grow up.lol
My favorite two guys to watch from now on.
From about 25 feet up the tree curves back away from the stream. It is top heavy away from the water and not a big problem to drop where he wanted.
I saw that first thing. This is a parody.
I guess that 30 bow in it had no baring on it
Easy drop
Keyboard critics, the lot of ya.
It wasn't a problem... for anyone who knows what to do.
Hey stevie thanks for the wedge and hammer 🤣 hes just there for moral support wade
that is pure skill with just alittle luck mostly skill way to go wade.stevie just there for moral support lol
Brad Coley haha
I still can't get over this I like watching this
The camera man was better off putting the camera on a stand and stand in front of the tree when it fell
At that point I turned the volume off and enjoyed the show.
Me too.
Camera on a stand, yes. And he should wear a muffler, but stay away from that falling tree.
Good job. Always a good day when you don’t have to go swimming.
Well this might be a few days late here( fir) commenting, but the way I figure it....It ain't never too late for a positive comment, so with that said.... Job WELL done by a master craftsman at a trade that deservedly carries much pride
in the workmanship. My hats off to you both ! That display of knowledge carried out in small steps, is why you boys love your work, & for good reason. I sure miss cutting timber. Carry on
Scotty one of those guys that can turn any situation into something funny.
Thanks buddy
you guy's are having way to much fun ! I laughed from beggining to end, nice
FEI - Forestry haha!!! Bamm
You sir are a absolute LEGEND, truly amazing skills 👍👍👍
Agreed, one suggestion for improvement would be to fell the loudmouth at the camera!
"That white oak back in the foreground" he says 😂
No cornbread and bacon for the trash talker. Must have been that sudden gust of wind that kept that big ass tree out of the creek..Haha.
7:34 when your 2nd grade teacher says "Hey how was your weekend?(:"
Awesome. I just got a Stevey and Wade flashback.. Hand cutting.
It's like 3 Jeff Foxworthy's arguing. Lol
2:36 Quality cinematography right there.
A shot showing the whole lean from a distance would’ve been nice
YOU'RE THE MAN!!!!! Awesome skill!!!!
“When in doubt, throttle it out...woohoo cornbread and bacon!” - Steve
I had a Pine leaner heading straight across my bedroom. This guy who cuts 15 truck loads per day offered to cut it down. How to make it go the other way? He did it and laid that tree, about 40" at base, parallel to my house. It took him twenty minutes because he had to wedge it a lot. Tree Fellers are good friends to have around. Would have cost about $1200.00.
Is that a 394/395xp? It sounds like a MONSTER
9 minutes and 10 seconds of pure America
All that wind was coming from behind the camera.
Nice work. I do oaks all the time. I have to say, that's the smallest face cut I've ever seen. It worked though. For leaners, I don't have the confidence that wedges alone will work. I use an air shooter and shoot a line up, go through a pulley to change direction then use my winch to convince the tree what direction it really wants to go.
Damn fine cutting!
These guys are hilarious and obviously know their shit. 😎👍
I think I'll keep cutting my small trees with my battery powered chainsaw and leave the big trees to the pros! :-)
That was a mighty cutting and notching and dropping. Awesome job. 😁
Shawn Stick Chamness thanks hoss
that right there was freakin' awesome! Great job guys! Love the banter too lol
Ron Aaserude haha better one for tomorrow
I saw you mention that earlier, can't wait to see the vidja!
Had some nice tires on that skitter
Get ready. Here come the “don’t walk in front of the tree” comments.
Other than the one guy wanting his rear end sucked. Good stuff.
Y'all made a very entertaining duo.
This is how you work ,have fun and just get'erdun
Still one of my favorite champion loggin vidjas
Beautiful job.
Larry Slosky Sr thanks Larry
Great job! Always nicer when there are no buildings close, pretty interesting cuts, funny what that little wedge can do !!!!!!!
I’ve had to turn down jobs due to trees being smack dab between houses. When you’re a one man show it’s rough.
Perfect. The best part is. “Hey who’s that, there’s a girl in there. Hope it’s not my ex”
Gotta love the banter between you two.
I thought that was Steven Crowder for a minute.
Hahahaha right
Best got damn tree cutting tutorial on the net! Actually help me out a lot. 👍🏾
With all respect, hire a pro or you will end up on youtube channel in the idiots with chainsaws series while you lie in the hospital. These are complete amateurs, there is nothing useful to learn from them. Don't learn to work with a chainsaw on youtube, seriously! Tree felling is not as simple as it looks.
Strangest bore cut I have seen
Good cut..man knows what he s doing
Trees fall on hinges. You can fall any tree within 180 degrees of the natural lean with just a hinge cut.
Bryan Hill - yea....sort of, it’s not that simple, a whole lot of other factors effect the fall.
...and a wedge or two.
Still, it takes an understanding of the physics and I've seen too many that don't. Real pros do either taught or experience but preferably taught followed by experience.
This is better than anything on the telly!
he won't ever bring out the video maker when I try and teach him something
steve billow oh Steveyy any time!!! I loaded your red oak vid last night and it was in low def so I'm reloading it tonight
This video would have been much better. If the cameraman would have shown exactly how much lean was in the tree, kept the camera still on the cutter and would have kept his damn mouth shut!
This was my very first video I watched of yours logger wade
I love dropping a side leaner and having coworkers say "no way you're going to pull that sideways" beforehand
Its a good betting game, put a stake in some odd direction and see if someone can drive it. We used to make $5-20 bets depending.(power-line clearing) That was back about1990. I could not run a saw now, but I was good at it then.
My money is on the camera guy winning the next Darwin Award.
Good work. Nice to see real-world stuff without all the damned disclaimers about safety glasses, "Don't try this at home," etc. Question: What was the vertical cut on the side for?
Hinges, 3, to pull the fall. He mentioned them before he started that he'd do 3, was hell of a leaner.
Walking in front of the notch and standing there after he made the back cut was one of the greatest ideas I ever witnessed
You may not think its safe, however an experienced logger knows when that tree is going to start moving, we walk around trees like that all the time when felling. Of course certain situations you absolutely do not walk in front of it, but its safe more often that you would think.
@@TreeMonk96 I did say it was a great idea, highly recommend for all the pros watching this vid smh incase you didn't know most forestry fatalities happen to the most experienced cutters, something to think about I guess
Don't walk it front of the tree
Some day stevie, someday you will work your way up to the man sized saw lol.
From your Canadian subscriber and #1 fan....

If I had to listen to that camera operator every day, I’d slit my wrists.
With the chainsaw
Yeah
Legend has it, the camera operator was Epstein's cell mate. 🤠
Tell you what damn cletus on the camera wooohooo 🤣 great job that was pretty good
Leverage is King, any way you can use it! Nice job.
That saw idles like a beast!
No glasses no chaps no brains
Jack Pine
Lol,
You ever wear chaps all day??
Indeed, Stevie did learn that day.
Lmao, Stevie, Stevie, Wade is Yoda Stevie! School is in
Shore Logger hahaha!!!! Oh we got a better one for tomorrow
Logger Wade I see you boss! That was sweet pulling her like that,
The oh Stevie ohh Stevie is priceless 😂😂
I loved the camera operator cheering on your Triple Wedge...but! I wish I understood more about the Scientifical Technique you used. I noticed you making both horizontal bar plunge cuts near the hinge, and vertical bar plunge cuts near the hinge and I are exponentially confused by most of it all. This was probably the most significant tree felling event since the invention of the Great Pyramid.
I thought he did a good job. One of the most important things is having a clear exit plan in your mind while on the river side of that tree were it to bust out and head toward the river.
