Today I am reviewing my new snowboard, the GNU Finest. This video details my first impression of the snowboard. I plan to do a more comprehensive review later in the season once I have more days on the board. This is my daily driver for the year, so I should have some great feedback in all mountain conditions and the park. Enjoy! - Спорт
Thanks for the video, great early review. We need an update!
Congrats on the new deck!! Love the graphic 🤙
Great to see you Bo
Looks really buttery, nice vid dude!
I haven't listened to house in forever. This brings me back.
looks like a great board!
Looks great did getting the wide
Just ordered the 157!!! Can’t wait
did you get the finest in 157 ? how do you like it , and what style of riding do you like .
I have this board and with the C2X Profile it makes it amazing to Butter. Being that it has ROCKER in the middle and the CAMBER under foot, it is not as stable or responsive for very fast Charging Like a Camber Board is, but still has great edge control and good stability. For Butters, free style and especially Powder Days, the GNU FINEST really performs!! . The GNU FINEST has an excellent turning and Pop, and is very playful. It is not stiff at all. I would say it has a STIFF Rating of 5 out of 10 at Most.. It is a 60% Freestyle / 40% All Mountain style board in my opinion with Amazing FLoat and Performance in Powder. The edge hold with Magnetraction is amazing and it rides Very smooth. WIth the ROcker in the middle, it makes it less catchy than a Camber board and you can turn and ride switch very easy. It is an Amazing all Around Board to have to your quiver.
Amazing I pick up this board after watching angrysnowboarder review of last years model and have be scouring the internet since to ask one question.
How does it hold up in glades? The trees where I live are pretty tight, should I just use my old board for that?
@@Not_Your_Usual_Username mm not sure, try both boards out and you'll get your answer
What Bindings and boots did you use with the finest ?
fire edit and shredding. quality music
Now thats its been 1 year how did you like this board , would you buy it again ? or what would you get for a do it all board ? thanks
How would you compare it to the Gnu riders choice? Really like how damp the riders choice is but wanted to downsize to 148cm for plaufulness. I own the 151,5cm riders choice
i’m 5’10 140lbs size 10(US)
i want to buy the exact board but what size board would be best a 154 or 151?
How does this compare to the GNU Money? I am debating between the 154w GNU Money and the 155w GNU Finest.
Hello! I'm interested in buying this board, but I'm not sure what size suits me. I am 171 cm tall and my weight is 70kg and I wear 41 (europe) boots. What size to buy? 148 or 151? Is this board also good for powder? Thank you!
Hi, which size of board you get finnaly? I think 151-154 seems be good for your heigh.
dank and nasty, phat and sassy, sweet and sour like clam chowder.
Enable you to size down a bit
Normally on park boards, I like to stay around the 155-56cm length. But the wide allows for my boot to avoid toe drag. I wear a 10.5 boot, so on a normal width board I tend to get a lot of toe drag.
Thanks for the reply
Great video
Hey! I’m interested in purchasing this board and wanna get into park more. Would you recommend a 157 or 154? I’m 6ft, 185 no clothes, and I believe size 10 boot. I normally ride the mountain but want to get a board suitable for park riding too. Thoughts?
Hope this isn't too late. I have similar specs, 157 seems to work better as an all mountain board capable of park. 154 will feel short and narrow, which is good if you're only in the park, but wont be as fun everywhere else. Plus added nose and tail lengths makes it more fun to butter and press imo. Hope that helps
@@BDLT001 nope not too late!! I ended up getting the 157. I have an old pair of NOW ipo bindings from 2015 and am planning on getting a new pair of bindings. Any recommendations?
@@jonlien12 you want something medium responsiveness. The '21 cartels are a good mix of light weight plastic and stiffer straps, reflex disks help alot with board feel. Now 'yes' bindings will have more response than the ipo. Rome DOD. If you want to go unions, strata or force would work best, depending on if you want mini disk or not. You will want to go medium size on most of these with your boot size. Hope that helps have fun riding !
@@BDLT001 i appreciate your quick response! Im totally looking forward to riding this, ended up finishing the year with my old carbon credit. Do you think the finest is a solid upgrade as a new allmountain/park board? Looking to def ride it 50/50 in both. i think im between the burton cartels, malativas, or union force/stratas. are union atlas too stiff?
@@jonlien12 perfect upgrade from carbon credit. The c2x will feel similar but more aggressive. Malavitas would be great if ur willing to spend the cash. Atlas would do better on a big mountain/freeride deck imo, not really for freestyle.
Say...being at Brek...wth happened to that Donek-riding carving dude...gosh wth was his name again....!!!
That would be the carve lord himself - Ryan Knapton
@@BoPollard right! He still alive?
@@app0ll0nysus haha. yea he is! I saw him out at key the other day. I think he will start putting out content again soon.
