Love your vid!!! Always packs tons of useful info!!!
Nice list, i ended up getting one of your recommendations from last year (or maybe year before), the Batalaeon Whatever... Great do it all board
Awesome boards and an awesome vid!
Thanks for the review TJ!
Great list TJ
Have a Frank April Westmark Camber still going strong from a bunch of years ago...can't kill the thing haha. Great spring riding board too with the upturned nose and upraised contact points as it doesn't get stuck in the slush.
Second season on the arbor west mark. It’s so poppy and fast but still very catchy free. I’m not an excellent rider but I found I am rarely catching edges when i don’t mean to on this board. Also been super fun in the park, rides rails and boxes very nice and still able to hit the bigger jumps.
Great video bro 😎 I’m not in the market but got to help get this video the views 👍🏻👍🏻
welcome back TJ 🫡
If I were looking to buy a board it would almost certainly be the spring break resort twin! Either that or a party wave (twin).
Did you ever try the Yes Greats? I love it as an All Mountain Board
Essentially Resort Twin is just Indoor Survival without titanal booster but with added carbon stringers and a bit more rocker in a tips? How they compares to each other? Is Resort twin feels more washy and a bit more playful in deep snow?
You’re doing great🤘🏽
Your going to do review on the AMPLID SINGULAR ?
101k subs, woohoo! So good to have the videos coming out regularly again 🎉
Some absolutely immaculate 7s thrown in the vid, looking so CLEAN
Bro you a beast
Spring Break RT looks awsome! That fluro green side wall looks amazing... im holding out for the BA hoody in that colour way 😅
I finally got to ride my SB Powder Twin in Japan recently, im guessing the two arent to similar??
Nice video. Please review K2 World peace vs Afterblack 🙏🏽
What size did you demo for the SB RT? With it being a little wider did you size down at all?
Literally just snagged a Jones Frontier, but thanks for the review, I tend to go more freeride but its nice to daydream about doing more freestyle type riding lol
Hope you liking the frontier?
Love my SB resort twin. It's really good at everything but deep pow, of course. Favorite daily driver though
Is it wider than normal? How is heel to toe transfer?
Been riding camber my whole life, looking to demo a few boards with either a directional camber, rocker or flat profile for days with more powder. Im accustom to east coast conditions which usually means groomers and ice, but I'd really like something for the rare days where it's a foot of unridden fresh powder. I've been riding a Burton Custom and Burton Custom X for the past 10 years mostly in Stowe, Vermont. Any recs for a powder board that can still handle really well on groomers and packed snow?
nice to see the Westmark still making the cut!
Talks about it like some would their first love... 😂
Where does a Burton Custom fit in comparison to these?
good luck finding a spring break twin this late in the season. pretty infamous board for selling out asap.
True, but there's also some shops who got a few 2025 early releases in stock. Definitely worth keeping an eye on. Managed to get mine last week and super stoked on it!
I love my Jones Aviator 2.0 but it’s meant to be ridden hard. It cuts through anything and is a great powder board if you set it up that way. I have a DOA but I kind wish I would have got the super DOA. I recently picked up a Never Summer VTwin and I love it. It’s an all mountain twin based on their popular Valhalla. It’s not as stiff as the Jones Aviator but it still rides well. IMO and this won’t be a popular opinion b/c I think everyone likes this board, myself included, it rides better than the Jones Mtn Twin.
Can you review the nitro team and team pro?
I have two out of seven. 🙂. In my humble opinion a small disk is a better option for resort riding.
Out of curiosity why is that? I didnt even know that mattered.
Can we get some K2 reviews? Specifically the K2 Passport, please!
Just got my hands on the 2024 goliath and i can say its my favourite board I’ve ever ridden. The 3bt is perfectly toned down from the evil twin. Still flat base so carving is unaffected, but nice and playful in the nose and tail. Couldn’t be happier with it, do not recommend the evil twin unless you don’t ever leave the park.
U got the Goliath or Goliath plus? Can’t decide between those two
Yeah I m riding capita super DOA 😂👍
I'm disappointed not to see the Lib Tech Dynamo on your list. I have a 2023 Dynamo and 2024 Capita DOA. The Dynamo with Nitro Phantom+ bindings and ThirtyTwo TM-2 boots lets me bomb any slope on the ice coast. The DOA gets "noodley" at fast speeds and doesn't chop through terrain nearly as well as the Dynamo or especially my 2023 Never Summer Proto FR...
What’s the jones aviator 2.0 like at about 50-60 mph? Does it flap at all at high speed? I like park but I like high speed too.
no flapping on the Aviator 2.0. She goes.
I quite like the Nitro Team
I absolutely love my Nitro Phantom+ bindings. Definitely worth the clams I paid. The ice coast has been so choppy with variable terrain this year, and I can ride 2-3x as long with my Phantom+ bindings than other awesome bindings like my Burton Cartels or Step-Ons. Nitro so damp and responsive.
which of them is more suitable for beginner/ intermediate?
Westmark, for sure. SB Resort Twin or Nexus could work, too. But for beginner all-mountain progression, the YES Typo is still unmatched, imo. You get a ton of board for $500, and can often be found on sale.
Hi tj how was the aviator union ultra combo???
I noticed that. I have the ultras on one of my boards. Love em but I put the updated Force on my Aviator 2.0 it’s a match made in heaven.
TJ, big fan; your stuff is an immediate watch when notified. Any reason why regular DOA didn't make the cut? I thought it would be more freestyle focused than the Super and a better fit for this list. Keep the content coming! Thanks
Super is more advanced and more aggressive and stiffer so it can carve harder and take bigger jumps. Imo the original DOA has become more of a progression board since the super has been introduced.
@@nightpassmusic Gotcha and thanks.
@@nightpassmusicthanks brother. Rode it and enjoyed it but took it back for the spring break which arrives later this week 😉
@@SparksnorthernGood choice man! I want one of those to replace my OG.
endeavors caught my eye thanks to you homie, yet the code / link seems broke
correction: the link may be broke but the code works on endeavors website... Might have to grab one. Legacy STOKE!
Interesting, super doa but no megadeath? Is that a sign that its not as great as the megamerc? I do see this list being more tailored to freestyle/park riding…
The Megadeath (and the BSOD) is on a completely different level vs the DOA or Merc (including the upgraded versions).
These are all twin or directional twins.
Megadeath is hardly a "do it all" board. Hell, the BSOD isn't one, either.
Tj, I need help pulling the trigger on an evil twin+, but reading a lot about quality issues. Thoughts?
Hey bro, I rode a Bataleon Goliath+ around 70 days last year, 20 days into this current season and it's still going strong, need to keep the sintered base waxed of course but no complaints on quality from Bataleon, especially the plus line. So an evil twin is a very safe bet go for it!!
could you review the salomon assasin? Love that thing. Got the new 2024 model and it looks and feels amazing.
I think you should change the title of this video to "Freestyle Boards"
👍 *PromoSM*
Congrats TJ. I've seen u progress throughout the seasons & your reviews are always on point. Hope to see you out there one day🤙🏻
