I think it would be nice to have some downsides of the boards, or things that you think other boards do better. It’s just weird hearing a top 10 list where everything said is positive. Like “I really like this camber profile and this technology used, it feels really good, that’s why it’s number 8,” is weird to hear. Why isn’t it 7, or 6, or 2. But if you mentioned the things you liked about it but then mentioned some things it doesn’t do as well, or you didn’t like, the rankings would make more sense. It would also help people out who were looking to buy figure out which one fit them best.
Pretty much all snowboard reviewers are like this and it's frustrating. I think they are scared of not getting reviewers gear in the future so they only focus on the positives and features.
We all know his reviews are here for his own profit, he wants you to buy these boards and giving "negative" (honest and actually helpfull) info wouldn't help with quick sales. the goal is: dont overthink, click and buy! There are much better people on youtube for this, fella's!
If you do a minimum of research, there are plenty of other sites / channels that do more balanced and helpful reviews. I would never buy based on a site like this one because he just talks about what HE likes. Unless you are at the same level as he is and have the same appreciation / style as he does and ride in the same region, these rankings are not that helpful.
Shout out for Signal snowboards. I've never seen Kevin ride one, but the Signal Disruptor has become my absolute favorite board, especially for park with a flex that isn't too tough but still firm enough to be stable, excellent control, and a nice full camber that gives a lot of pop. The only problem is it's really hard to test Signal boards since they're only sold online or used.
@@ElevenEightNate yeah so weird as run both the doa and super doa - can only guess he meant to say isn’t a trad park board for some other reason and that just slipped out. Although assume Kevin edited it himself
Apart from Nidecker I have ridden every other board on the list, interesting that the lib box knife and gnu headspace not nearly the same place as they are essentially the same board but the gnu has an asymmetric sidecut.
Nice list, Kevin! Surprised there were no Burtons on here. Are Never Summer Proto Slingers any good for park riding? I just got my first snowboard a couple months ago for all-mountain and I'm considering adding a park board to the quiver.
Here is a question that I want to ask about park boards. When people talking about Park board, they always prefer or emphasis the true twin profile. But when looking the different pro snowboarders, about half of them are using directional profile with setback profiled boards. So which one is better? Or why are they using directional profile? what is the advantage on park with either of these profiles?
It all comes down to how comfortable the rider is going ambidextrous. The majority of riders are predominantly right or left comfortable so it pays for them to adjust their tricks accordingly. While they…slightly…miss out on smaller rotations, they gain in reassurance and comfort.
Hey there! I'm currently trying to decide between a Salomon Abstract 2023 and a Arbor Relapse 2023. I mainly enjoy carving, but still want a playful board for buttering and ground tricks, not so much for the park. Thank you~
I just bought my first board, Capita outterspace living, is it good for parks and freestyle since its what i want to learn for? Got the union stratas for it too
I have a 58 custom camber that I really like as my all around cruise board but am looking for something on the softer side to work on presses butters etc.. the custom to me is just a little to stiff and locked in for me to press around easily and the true camber is just a little catchy trying flat spins etc.. I’m not super advanced and also light for my boot size. I live in FL and don’t have the ability to try boards, curious what would be a nice little step down from a custom camber would be? Would still like some pop and hold but something that wouldn’t make me work to hard to learn presses and jib style riding
@Laurynas Kevin hasnt really ridden burton since his process back in 2013. Hes done demo days but usually goes carving and out of bounds with them. Same with nitro only really his nitro pow on powder days.
I’m new to snowboarding and I’ve a experienced friend said a snowboard can only use for 1 season cos the texture will be damaged ,however it’s still OK for beginners as we just don’t feel it, is that true?
Lol your friend doesn’t know what he is talking about. Or he’s a snow snob. I normally keep a board for 4 years then replace them just because it get so damned and it’s been fixed so many times.
@@exorder2005 I'm not saying it's made for freeride, but what I like about this board that it's very balanced(in my opinion) but made primarily for the park

Also, they don't make the freeride boards stiff for nothing. And that stability can be felt on the groomers as well, when it's a firmer, colder day with ice and deathchunder everywhere.

*correction: Capita DOA is a true twin.
I got the Evil Twin last season and loving it! Ready for this season to start already!!! Let's GOOOOO!
10 best snowboards at exactly 10 minutes, props to you kevin

Signal park unbound 🔥🔥
Yes love the Disruptor! Full camber FTW, so much pop and great edge hold.
I've been thinking about getting the Super DOA so this really helped!
What a solid list, love all those boards! Also I'm in the vid lol 05:41 on the lip of the jump.
Some really good throwback clips here kev. The send you did on the pathfinder 👌👌👌👌
The DOA is definitely a true twin: twin shape, twin flex, twin profile, centered stance. Not sure where you're getting your info that it's not.
I reckon he meant to say it’s not a true park board (more all mountain) Given he was sponsored by capita and visited the mothership etc seems weird.
@@darylgregg yeah, I dunno. He said verbatim: "the DOA is not a traditional park snowboard because it's not a true twin" haha.

It's because he doesn't know what he's talking about
Nope the box knife has early rise at front and at the end and also less contact length on snow but both my best boards
@@MavericNorthcottso who’s lying?
@@Eurystheasso who’s lying?
What did you think about the asymmetric side cut?
Man’s got beef with burton. 😄.
Haha, j no beef. Just prefer the traditional 4 hole binding connection.
Love my capita paradise for women’s park boards
Love the content! What are your thoughts on the capita mercury and mega mercury for park?
Does the Nidecker board basically have 3BT like the Bataleon Evil Twin?
It’s very similar, but not the exact same. batleons 3BT is bigger and lifts more of contact point and edge away
@@SnowboardProCamp Thank you Kevin, you always bring answers keep killing it!! Been watching for sooo long now
I love your videos Kevin, keep the great work up

More top 10ns let’s go
I like these types of reviews instead of that angry robotic reviews.
You NEED to try the Nitro Team / Team Pro / Beast! Thanks for video!!
Yes, and I'd add the "T1" to that list also. Such a fun board!
@@s0t33W have T1 too! Awesome indeed
What do you thing about Nitro Beast? Cheers from Spain.
Hey, how do you compare the pop of this boards with capita aeronaut? I'm curious to know how it compares with doa and superdoa, and maybe huck knife

Yes it will be good, my buddy got one for this season as well. I tried it and it is similar to my pathfinder
have you ever rode any of the Lobster boards?
Do you have any recommendations for smaller people because i ride on a 138 cm board rn and not alot of these if any have my size
I can’t find the same color scheme of that huck knife

Out of all these boards which is the most catch free?
Probably the Evil Twin or the Sensor because of the 3BT
Would u reconsider the place of the capita doa since it is a true twin now?
best board for buttering and curving?
Is there any reason why none of burton and nitro boards are on the list? What size do you choose for the park? Going for a larger or smaller side?
For your park board you usually go a few centimeters smaller than your all mountain size. This makes it more maneuverable and easier to do presses.

hey guys what are some good bindings for evin twin?
I like the Union Stratas

How about Capita Outerspace Living?
Which one for sidehits?
the capita DOA is a true twin
The capita doa has carbon in the core too, not just the super doa

No Proto Slinger in the list?
Ride twinpig?

Yooo ur on it
I thought the capita DOA is a true twin?
„….the DOA is NOT a true twin“ - are you mixing up snowboards? It‘s a true twin….

What size board do you usually ride with these
What bindings are you using with the gnu headspace
