    Ordered a Headspace 152 and Axtion bindings after your review and a few others! Coming from a 2011 Ride DH2 which I absolutely LOVED. That deck was so good to me but it’s time. 40 years old been ridin since I was 13 in mid 90’s. ✌🏻🌊

      Update: this is the nicest board I’ve ever rode. The sweet spots for buttering are incredible and the pop is not sacrificed at all! It has all the power you need with all the playfulness in a well rounded package. Highly recommend for intermediate+ freestyle riders. I think beginners will get bucked around a bit by the camber/pop.

    Just ordered a 155w to ride on days where I will mainly be in the park. Been riding this years essential service and have been loving it, but decided to just ride it on days when there is some fresh snow. It rips the park totally fine, but I prefer the pop of the c3 and it has just a little too much set back for my taste, to be my only board.

    I recently broke my 2017 Headspace which I loved for its playful versatility. I knew I wanted something similar.
    After near analysis paralysis, I narrowed it down to the HS, which I knew, or the Capita DOA, based on shop advice and previous awards.
    Fortunately I found your reviews on both boards. The new DOA now sounded too soft and bland, while the HS sounded just like what I had come to love. My choice was solidified. I got another Headspace and have no regrets. Coupled with Union Stratas (Cobra Dogs collab) it is fire!!
    Thanks for your unbiased, detailed reviews!

    I had a 2020 version and it was soooo soft, almost a noodle. Maybe I had a problematic board or something but it was waaay below my huck knife it terms of stiffness. Either mine wasn't right or my perception of middle of the road park flex is skewed. Was a lot of fun to carve for a park board though.

    • @ianmichael9224

      I thought it felt a little soft too ,I loved it in general especially for carving but it felt more like the flex for jibbing than charging harder etc.

    hey avran! i currently ride a bataleon party wave + 151, im 185lbs and 5’10, this will be my third season boarding but i would consider myself to be a pretty decent level. mostly i’ve been riding resort, chasing pow, messing around on side hits and carving up groomers and glade runs. this season i wanna get into the park and start jibbing/buttering around. i’m tossed up between the rome party mod 153 and the gnu headspace 155, which do you think would help me progress in those areas and with my all round freestyle riding but still be fun outside of the park too??🤔hope you can help!

    Been looking at this and and the ride zero for a board I ride off the lift, do a few butter tricks, throw a 360 or 540 off of something and then hit the park. Live on the east coast and want a board that locks into jibs/rails/boxes while being able to kind of rip everything I see. Which would you recommend? Been riding the outsiders but want something more forgiving when I’m not riding great and a little softer riding. I’ve even looked at the pbj because it’s cheap and the 3* bevel caught my eye but might be too soft for my liking

Do the comparison on Unions website, it helped a lot, plus reviews online. My main ride is Last years Lib T.Rice pro with the Falcor bindings and its by far the best set up I've ever riden. I’m having a hard time deciding between this and the Shadowban. They both tick a lot of the same boxes for me. I’m getting older, and these days I divide my time between groomers/sidehits/etc and the small to medium features in the park. Which would you say is more poppy and which has better grip on ice? (I’m expexting the Shadowban to be a bit more poppy, and the Headspace to have a bit more grip, due to the magna-traction).

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  Рік тому +3

Looking at picking up something a bit more playful and slightly wider and the Headspace 155w and Evil Twin 156w are on my radar. How would you rate them in terms of stiffness compared to the DOA? More suitable for buttering? Intermediate level mainly spending time on groomers or small/medium jumps. Thanks!

I’m wondering if making the switch to a 155w gnu headspace would be worth it in terms of boot sizing and general use? Would be doing similar things as when I bought the asym; treating the mountain as a skate park, but also looking to go a bit bigger this year which the headspace 155w flex might help with? Anyways would love your though! Cheers :)
