In this video TJ and I talk about our best and worst do it all snowboards. We've had the chance to ride many different snowboards over the last year and have rode a few snowboards that are great across many types of riding. We have also rode a few snowboards that are amazing at specific types of snowboard but terrible as a do it all snowboard. If you have any snowboard questions please leave them in the comments. Also let us know what your ideal do it all snowboard would be! - Спорт
Would have been more helpful to limit your Worst boards to self-described All mountain boards. Nobody expected Orca to be great in park, Thanks for all amazing content!
Picked up the ride warpig last week after watching TJ's review and so far it has been delivering. I feel like I can take that board anywhere and it will perform amazingly. Keep it up guys
"we like to ride a lot of different snowboards"
Wish it was me😂, I was gifted my snowboard and I'm super stoked on picking my own next season
2 am in Arizona... never too early to stay dreaming about those powder days 😭. Good recommendations as always, keep killing it guys 🤙🏻
:)
I bought a Slash Brainstorm 2019 and it’s been an awesome All-Mountain board! Great edge work and it handles in the park. I put the Union Contact Pro Scott Stevens bindings on this off season hoping to get a little more flex so I can get even more out of the park.
Great video guys!
New subscriber but long time fan ! Keep it up guys , y’all give much motivation to shred !
Thank you! Hope you have a great season!
Hey Kev & TJ - saw you comparison with the GNU and the Evil Twin - loved it just bought a new 2020 Evil Twin today!! bit nervous about the 3BT for the first time but I'm dead set on getting better at Freestyle so took the jump. Thanks for the advice - always checking out the site!
I have the 2019 GNU Headspace and took it in powder and worked very well, surprised me and used it as my primary board when i was on holiday. I had also taken my Orca but prefered the Headspace for the situation.
Good board choices! Thanks for the feedback!
Man, those back bowls are truly amazing.
I got a LIb Tech, the same manufacture of GNU, which is banana profile too. I am looking forward to kick off the season with this board very much. Thank you for sharing us your boards options.
Not all LIBs or GNU board are Banana profile.
Park board + big mountain board is the way. Love my setup right now with the Salomon Huck Knife and the LibTech Skunk Ape. As a bigger guy who rides 90% park this has been perfect. Huck Knife for most days but when the conditions or riding friends call for it, the big boy comes out to rip it.
Hi guys! Hope to see you in Japan this year. Hopefully you guys make it to Hakuba.
I have the 2020 orca, zero issues riding switch, actually is a total blast riding switch with.
Still good on non pow days?
The DOA is up there also. I’ve had it in park and every condition imaginable and it never seems to quit.
Which DOA you using?
Connor Lessner 2018/19 155w
Sweet content, just grabbed a new lib tech t. rice hp for daily driver and coho woodsman for my pow board. That c2 profile gnu and lib use is mastery of craft. Highly recommend. Maybe I'll see you boys up at meadows🤙 Appreciate your input🤙🤙🤙
Nice breakdown fellas. 👍 all sick boards.
I’ve been snowboarding for like 6 years now and I’ve only had one board. Never knew the type of board you had made a difference in the performance of the ride. I’ll look into a new board. Especially cause my board is preowned from like 2006 or something
It’s gonna blow your mind lol
Nice work. I would really like to see what you guys think of the Magic BM.
Can't decide between burton custom flying v, Jones flagship, never summer westbound. I'm in Westcoast Canada and will mainly be doing freeride carving I'm a beginner. Currently riding an old burton operator traditional camber its helped me learn to carve in just one day of riding. Thanks guys
I picked up the twinpig for this season and fell in love with it immediately and the powder performance genuinely surprised me
Hey I’ve been thinking about picking up the Twinpig for myself but I’ve heard that it has some issues when it comes to the topless topsheet. Some people were saying that it chips extremely easily. Has this been an issue for you at all?
I heard that too. That made me not pick it. I picket lib tech t rice.
Lib tech skunk ape is overlooked , it is a bit wider but can do everything well on the moutain
Park, pipe, powder, high speed groomers, and freeriding - it has you covered. A directional twin is the most versatile shape, since you can set it up twin or set it back. And in my opinion a c2btx profile is the best for all mountain riding.
Who is so hyped for the snowboard season too?
Rookie Question but I just started riding last season, how well you think The Libtech Attack Banana will handle everything? I wanna be able to ride park and powder
@@SKATERBOIMTBZ I think that could be a great fit. It has the magna traction which is great for a newer boarder and also is a medium flex which will help in the park.
Bolo Sweeeet thanks man 😂🤘🏻
@@SKATERBOIMTBZ I started riding last season too but I have a Rome SDS Mechanic from last year, can it handle everything well also?
Definitely me I've been riding on the same board for 10 years, but now I have bought the Nitro team board, I'm stoked to try it this winter
For me, I'd say the suprising one is the Ride Warpig. The twinpig is better for the park w/ the shape but the warpig is still fun in park & can handle whatever weather condition pretty well: ice, slush, pow, groomers...shreds through all & being able to size down makes it really fun.
Id say the Arbor Foundation is a great do it all snowboard. A lot of people brush it off as a snowboard meant for beginners and thats what it was for me when i bought it. but i still go back to it even with my other new fancy boards just cause its so much fun and it performs great in multiple conditions.
Good to know, just got a foundation myself
Under appreciated board: Yes. Basic. Affordable and does it all 🙌 I have it and LOVE it!
Fr it's great
What board are you talking about
@@paullemieux7617 it’s a board from Yes. called Basic
@@Ryanralston07 ok I will look into it thanks
Capita 2020 DOA? From seeing some of your earlier reviews TJ. This is still an all time classic in my opinion. Happy with the purchase even though it didn't make your list this time.
Alright so I’m looking at boards and the Yes.Standard has great reviews, but do you think it compares to your guy’s picks? I’m looking for a board that can pick up speed faster, carve like a boss, and is overall a great board to take on a mountain. I’m not normally one who hangs around in the park but if that was a possibility in the future I would want this board to be suited for the job. Thanks to anyone who replied and I hope you have a blessed day.
Dude this is a great video i want one of these boards
ellstacker adventures it’s called a snowboard
@@RainDoesIt bruh
I ride my Marhar lumberjack on everything and absolutely love it everywhere.
@@qonradongton ahhh yis a butthurt hater replying to a year old comment on an obscure UA-cam video. Seen here in the wild. Watch as his life slowly slips away as he types at the computer.
@@qonradongton thanks bro.
Also “nobody asked” 😂
I’ve never seen someone so proud to be an absolute life loser as you are 🤣 your mother must be real proud to have someone like you living in her basement
Been riding the Masters Series from Academy (Chris Roach pro model). Do-it-all that truly crushes everything
Just been watching best board videos waiting to win the lottery so I can actually buy one lmao, snowboarding is such an expensive sport to get into...great video !!
I love my 2014 Burton Custom X. The More I ride it the more I feel at one with it. Not a Whole Lot of Flex but, Manageable. We could use a little more snow in Tahoe.
Nice Kevin thanks
Just put my bindings on a new Rome agent 158wide (possitive camber with a bit of rocker at nose and tail) and can't wait to try it out. I used to ride a 157 Nitro Team (2011) with the gullwing camber (rocker between the bindings) but booted out a lot when trying to carve. Any thoughts on the new Agent and whether i should keep the nitro team around for powder days?
Just a quick question because I know TJ reviewed the arbor westmark Frank April edition and really seemed to enjoy it. Which I am in the market for and was wondering where the westmark would stack up on this list? Thanks, I enjoy watching all the vids keep it up!!
Just got the 2024 twin pig in my hands today, can't waiiiit to shred! flex feels really nice on it too!
Love this video! This is exactly what I have been researching in my free time. Any opinions on the Arbor Westmark or the Salomon Assassin? Both seem to have good ratings but I want to see what you guys think, thanks! And keep it up!
I think his buddy Chris did a video on Salomon boards recently. I'm also looking at the Assassin, managed to trial it in my local indoor snow centre, it was awesome. But would be great to try it on the mountain first.
Im late as shit to answer but tj did a video on the westmark camber. He said it did amazing in every aspect except powder
Rode the '23 Assassin on a demo day, amongst a few other boards; immediately wanted one and picked one up end of the season on sale. Personally a big fan.
U should try the Never Summer Shaper Twin and Peacemaker. Especially the first one is the pinnacle of a Do It All. Pretty close to a "perfect board".
Thanks guys what a fantastic video(jimmi from South Park voice). This applies to probably 90% of people who board, I know I can’t afford two boards so it’s ideal to have one do it all.
Yeah, that's was the goal of the video to kinda help people dial in that one board that can do everything.
Hey T.J....I got a twinpig also...Did you adjust your binding placement ( & how much) when riding in powder with your twinpig ?
Thnx... watch u guy's videos all the time...
Just picked up the Ride Twinpig yesterday!
Great video! Do you know any good do it all boards that come in bigger sizes? It looks like the largest one here was 157.
Marhar lumberjack. Kills everything and holds in ice too. I’ve ridden in 20+ days in the alps in everything
I love Lobster and Bataleon boards, TBT is niceeee
2020 Capita DOA! Can’t stress enough how sick this board is. Wish it was just a smidge softer but this thing literally does it ALL! Huge jumps, jibs, boxing, going fast, and carving. Check!
Im here with the 2019 DOA - have taken it everywhere in VT. Powder days, steeps, -20 ice, woods, side hits, butters, switch riding, lil spins. Love this board
Have u guys come across Gnu Riders Choice? Would’ve thought it might feature in this context. Absolute beast of an all-mtn board, slightly stiffer than headspace but with a rocker-dominant profile. Like most though it only falls a little short in powder.
I ride an older (2014) gnu c2btx and it had the magna traction along with the rocker between the feet and camber underfoot to tail. Going into riding it I was assuming i would use it for my park board but was surprised to find how well it rode in ALL conditions.!!
Awesome video, I have forever been looking for a one-wonder board but I have a preference of a powder board that can do great all around, and it seems like you guys have always a shift towards the park board that can do pow. Do you have any suggestions for that? The Orca was the closest to it but you said never to the park. I've been looking at the Warpig and the Skunk Ape. Thanks
Been hearing good things about the war pig
Hi there Kevin . . me and my 12yr old are lovin the videos, been learning to board now for 18 months, had 2 holidays and multiple trips to the local indoor ski slope, I'm getting tired of the HEAD Hire boards and so looking to buy my own, I've asked around and got advice from a few sources but would love your input. For me visual aesthetics are a key element as well as the board itself, but first and foremost it has to be the board . . . So as an intermediate rider who now wants to improve, start all the butter presses, ride the embankments a few small lumps and jumps and maybe to progress to a little fun in the park when good enough what sort of board would you suggest. The main board that has been recommended is the SALOMON ASSASSIN Hybrid Camber, love the way it sounds but visually aaggghh ugly as sin :-( so looking for alternative, love the ARBOR SHILOH visually but not sure if this would be a good choice? any help would be much appreciated please. For reference the type of visual design on the ARBOR is spot on, clean simple !!!!! I'm 5' 10" - 174lbs
can you do a review on a rome board? you've never talked about their stuff so i'm curious what you think
Hi bro. What do you think about the Capita DOA for all mountain freestyle/park riding and the Bataleon Party Wave for the deep powder days ?
For that all around freestyle playful all mountain, what do you prefer headspace or westmark rocker?
5:10 did you have to set the stance back a little bit to help you in powder, or was that just specific to you?
Thanks fellas!
Lib tech hot knife & GNU billy goat c3 are pretty similar to what you guys described
I really like my Ride Agenda but no good in powder.
Just finished completing my order for the TwinPig 10 minutes before u guys post this. Can't wait for the season to start at Stevens Pass
They need to open ASAP
@@spacfilms I know!! Unfortunately theres not any snow up there yet
@@AlexM-np1cx by the looks of it they'll be open by February 😂
Salomon huck knife and ride war pig are also 2 great boards. That’s my quiver huck knife more my park board and war pig for more powder tree type days.
hey guys whats your stance set ups , angles , stance width etc ? thanks in advance:)nice informative video
Come to Alaska! Alyeska resort is truly a sight to behold🤙🏻
Logan Finch learned how to board there
Hi i bought the new flagship but only used it once before the lockdown. Would you say its not a everyday board.is there any conditions you wouldnt take it out in.i did feel a little harder effort than my hovercraft on the groomed runs in jackson .i own a year14 fish .13 joystick a 13 custom x. 15 process a 18 hovercraft which I love and a 20 flagship. But sometimes wonder if I should ride something bit more forgiving. In fairness all my burton boards are easier to ride .thanks.great videos keep up the good work Callum
what do you think of the first generation Lib Tech banana magic as an all-around board? Or is it more just a powder or Park?
what do you think of the lobster shifter 2020 as an all mountain board?
Hey have you ridden the arbor westmark 2020? Could you do a review?
Hey, what are your thoughts on the Lobster Stomper? have either of you been able to try that one? I haven't but am curious to hear from someone who has.
Hey, Kevin, what do you think about Peace park this year. Seems like they lost the idea of what it was intended for, but still do cool stuff.
Tjs giving off a real switch vibe. As in boards that can be ridden both ways this year.
💯 agree on the orca too kev. Having ridden it on groomers before pow. That profile is anti hardpack and the magnatraction does not help it at all on those days...
I’m lookin to get a new board I have a Lamar rn but I mainly ride park and sometimes carve up the mountain never any powder though. Got any good suggestions on what to get?? Thanks! :D
Kevin as of today what is your opinion on the best all MT. board would the gnu finest still be on the list ?
If you live in the East like me, many many park boards can survive the powder here, as there are rarely powder days and when they happen it is not very deep.
With TJ recommending the twinpig *twice* I'm convinced -- just ordered it for the season! I was rocking an arbor coda rocker last year which was super stiff and long -- great for powder days but excited for park with the twinpig!
I picked one up a couple months ago while researching an all mountain freestyle to add to my quiver. Since then I've seen it being praised on several channels and I cannot wait to put it to the test this season. Yeewww!
Ejack knife is one of the best do it all bards that nobody talks about imop. Would love to see you try it out!
the taper is and directional shape are negatives on the do it all scale. I'd put the Terrain Wrecker in for Libs One board Quiver... also often overlooked
What do you guys think about the Bataleon Whatever or the Boss?
What do you think of Burton Flying V? Im somewhere between 3-4/10 boarder.
Thoughts on the Burton process boys ? Just got mine ready for Japan and wanted something to cover everything !
i got arbor westmark 155 heritage rocker. Its just awesome for everything except going real fast
Informative, clear, concise. Good shit y'all. 🙌#warpig
where did you get that jacket at 5:08? that thing is sick!
Just got myself the GNU Finest!
Hey Kevin, I think I saw you at the Home Depot in Vancouver this weekend. Either that or you have a copycat in the Vancouver area.
Cheers!
What cool
Did anybody make experience with the arbor whiskey, the Jones Mountain Twin or the Lib Tech stump ape? Which one would you recommend as the best all mountain board?
Hi.
What do you think about the Capita DOA ? I'm really interested in this board but the Ride twinpig also caught my eyes. I'm more leaning to the Capita DOA but would like to hear your thoughts about these two boards.
Please let me know what are your thoughts.
I will appreciate your help.
Thanks :)
DootDoot Upraised finders on a Capita DOA? Are you sure about that? Maybe confusing the DOA with Batalion evil twin? I ride a super DOA and it’s camber to flat.
@@dootdoot1867 I want to do it all. Park, speeding, jumps and powder. I know that the doa is a winner in most of the categories i mentioned up but from my understanding it is also not that great for powder. So the most important thing for me in the DOA is if it is doable in powder and if I would still have fun in the powder with the DOA. Thanks for your help.
@@roeioren8218look into mercury or warpig. DOA won't do as well in pow. Look up angry snowboarder reviews.
You guys need to test Korua shapes please🤟🏻
Comor is getting a bunch this winter, so hopefully get a chance to ride some!
Have they fixed the chipping issue with the twinpig for the 2021? I'm really wanting to buy it but I have heard it chips and breaks.... turns out I went ahead and pre ordered it
For those looking for a spacecase, if you can't find a new one it is because GNU replaced the spacecase model with the Finest, Max Warbington's promodel deck
The DOA.
I was wondering if they would mention the DOA
I want that keystone hoodie
What do you think about GNU hyper kyarve?
Lib tech skate banana, awesome in powder, park , and carves well with the magna tractions.
Lib tech Magic BM is a gift from god. It surfs so hard and can carve through anything at all. Super stable in jumps and extremely fast turns, I’ve never had more fun on a board. Makes my skate banana feel boring
Hey TJ, what size Twinpig did you buy?
How would the capita doa fit in the do it all type board?
Burton custom camber?
Can't believe TJ picked the Twinpig... I'm currently considering it or the warpig for mostly all-mountain / groomers.
I just think that the warpig is a bit aggressive for me
Should try something with the magna traction, it really works
Yo Kevin, you think the Ride twin pig would work for a size 7 boot 135 lbs?
what about the Burton Process 2020? The board got a touch stiffer compared to 2019, imo its a good forgiving allrounder.
Can you maybe help me... I am a beginner, this will be my second season snowboarding. I want to buy a new board. I need something to start to learn to carve and also all-round use board. Also, what would be my perfect length board (I am 1.78m tall). Should I get a camber board? What lvl flex? Any good brands or board names?
Does the ride twinpig fit big feet?
Thoughts on the Ride berzerker
What's the general consensus on the Libtech Skate Banana?
