    Very helpful. I refocused on the inner state, while taking the cold shower in the morning, when all in a sudden I started weeping and sobbing like a child. It came very naturally and was over after half a minute. I noticed how much tension and actually sadness I hold in my body. I like to listen to you and how you explain everything. Thank you. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪.

    Living in a tropical country, and been practicing for about 2 years, I'm confortable to say that the cold part of the method is totally optional for the benefits. I only have access to the breathing part and that was enough to boost my immunity, prevent consistently panic attacks without any relapse, and leveraging my health in general.

    Journaling is key. I write my goals for the day and I summarize at the end of the day, making notes of things that worked or didn't; plus Ana's. I use the notepad app on my phone. It's quick and handy. Journaling keeps me honest and gives me useful feedback.

    Mindset changes result of action or reaction. If you know you gonna encounter pain you feel much less pain then getting a sudden pain. If you compete you feel much worse being second despite beating own records. Comparing to others isn't helpful if you feel no confidence in reaching goals. Making own goals important only to you personally make your progress relevant. But it means learning to go against the herd around. Progress made with habits is a process of building confidence in your growth and abilities to go farther despite your mind sticking to your last limit. Often you speed up to fast want to much at once. But the opposite is not accepting the progress & growth of your willpower. Willpower is about rational measured growth not projected growth. Your mind always puts invisible barrier but you also put it breaking good habits or getting used to one thing not adding challenges. It's always about golden middle. But if you know you do all well keep in mind other factors can be at play. F.e. your diet it bad, your eating habits daily are bad, your vitamin deficiency is doing damage or your poor sleep & sleep ceremonial affects selfrepair. Or your lifegoal or concerns are not addressed or are misunderstood. There is a real subconscious barrier too. And you won't notice it if you not become honest with what affects you daily and how. If you never stop you never notice.

    Many aspiring yogis loose their way because of chasing siddhis (“superpowers”). I think this is the biggest danger with the Wim Hof method. For most people the focus on cold exposure is bigger than on deepening their meditation.

  • @Mr.Telekinetic

    Loved the video. Just for the way you presented it, I would like it if you could be more dynamic in your vocal pitch, it came across quite monotone which can come across as boring to an audience. I recommend more volume shifts for emphasising & also more intentional pauses as opposed to off the cuff. Correcting these with pitch variation will leave you a much better presenter

    • @fd4511
      @fd4511 Рік тому

      Interesting perspective. I like Kitaro's voice as it is, non-hyped, deliberate, soothing and confident, but would prefer better cutting of videos. They sound cutoff sometimes due to editing software used, I suspect. The melody of voice gets lost through editing but it makes for shorter videos if that's his current goal until he hits a certain viewership number.

    Great info. I've a question: I tried taking cold showers and it worked in the summer but as soon as Autumn came I started getting colds after a couple ld shower and found it very difficult to warm up afterwards. Any tips you can think of? Do you always wet your head as well as body?

    • @KitaroWaga
      @KitaroWaga  2 роки тому +6

      Thank you for your comment! Do you do the WHM breathing before you go into the cold shower? This can help prepare the body. Also if you have difficulties to warm up afterwards, try doing the Horse Stance until your warm again (see my Horse Stance video).
      And I don't always wet my hair. I hope this helps. So, try doing 4 to 5 rounds of WHM breathwork before you go into the cold shower, then do 3 to 5 minutes of Horse Stance to warm up again.

    I have been doing everyday showers and breathing every morning. I have found that I can cold shower for 2 minutes but it doesn’t get any easier, is there a certain breathing method while showering ? Also when in doing the breathing techniques I find if I sit up in a chair I almost pass out after 1 round but when I lie down I just get light - medium tingles and can go 4 rounds before I near to this intensity ?

    • @KitaroWaga
      @KitaroWaga  Рік тому

      Try to breath calmly during the shower. I personally do a few fast inhales to let my breath naturally react to the cold, then I do a short hold on an inhale (max. 3-5 sec), followed by calm breathing with long exhales. Another way is to do a short WHM breathwork before going into the cold shower.
      Regarding the depth from the breathwork: this is very individual. I know of people who can go deep while sitting others while lying down. As long as you do it in a safe environment, you're fine. I like to do both but tend to go deeper while lying down.
