    Thanks for another great video! Some of your old ones showing how to breath were great as well :) they really helped me to get the air into my stomach then my chest by watching you. I just started around a month ago. I am doing two 5 minute cold showers a day. I like the idea of going towards other discomforts I will try to start doing that as well.

    I do it now for 4 months as a smoker, somehow i feel less the need to smoke cigarets. I dont even plan to stop but it feels like my body and mind dont need it more and more.

    Question: Did the Wim Hof method did anything for injuries you may have or had?

  • @Matak1991
    @Matak1991 Рік тому

    That was awesome!! I take cold showers every morning too and that became my habit)) but I can't find a sweet spot for that maybe you can help me. Usually, I take my cold shower in the morning after workout, and I can't understand do i need cold exposure on my body first then my head at the end or vice versa. And how long do I need to take it. Because after workout my body is hot and long cold shower maybe harmful or not.

    • @KitaroWaga
      @KitaroWaga  Рік тому +1

      Thank you. A cold shower should do you any harm after a strength workout. But I would recommend doing an ice bath after a strength workout because it is counter productive for the muscle adaptation process. In short: it kills your gains. Regarding your question on head or body first: I would suggest body first because the cold shock around head and neck can make some people dizzy.

      @Matak1991 Рік тому

      @@KitaroWaga But what about timing in cold shower. And what is your opinion about drying the body after cold shower until it gets red and warm. Or maybe just light drying and get dressed

    • @davidwong2695
      @davidwong2695 Рік тому

      @@Matak1991I don't think you need to be dogmatic about this. Huberman's podcast says if you want to shiver then to wait a minute before dressing but due to work schedule I dry off and dress as much of the benefits come from the temperature change in the shower (Huberman suggests 30 - 90 seconds as the minimal effective dose).
