Oh god, got my Oculus 2 days ago, and the headset was always falling down to my nose so everything was blury ... thought about buying a new strap and all, but you just made me realize that I could do that, thank you SO much.

@@KingofNerds I wanna know if there’s a way that I can like not see out of the headset because my nose is a bit small so when I looked down I can see outside of the headset and it kind of runs that level of immersion
@@Nitrosplash557 Yes! You can purchase the Oculus Fit Kit, which contains “Silicone light blockers prevent excess light from entering around the nose.” You can also purchase a replacement face gasket (part that goes between the Quest and your face) that contains the light blockers built in. I use the VRCover face gasket, for instance. Neither of these will 100% block app light, but it’ll be much better. Lastly, you can get an infrared light emitter which will allow you to turn the lights off completely and use the Quest in the dark. You can find these on Amazon for $30 or so. Let me know which you choose!

thanks SO SO much, my quest was sitting charging for ages, gathering dust bc i didnt know how to adjust it and make the image less blurry. i didn't know what to do with it, but this video helped me so much. now it stays in place and my face isnt pushed downwards uncomfortably because of the weight. I picked my oculus up after resting on it for 2 years due to the problems others are talking about here too. I've had my Quest 2 for about 6 months now. It's never really fit properly. I've just been playing golf and I was ready to launch my headset across the Fairway. But after watching this video now it fits perfectly. Thank-you.

i couldnt really get the back sliders to go outwards as far as i wanted so i said "meh, lets just try it out" so after i did, it seemed to fit perfectly instead of falling off, thanks!

Ugh thank you so much! It's now fitting so much better😩 my whole head is sore after only a day of playing. My jaw is sore, muscles used to lift the eyebrows and wiggle my ears hurt from supporting it and my ears themselves hurt. This helped a lot, thank you❤❤❤

Thanks! It would always fall straight off my face when i looked down, and sometimes it would even slude down my face to the point my nose and mouth were inside and my eyes could see outside. I never thought about the wide variety of people's head and face shapes until I bought my Quest 2. I guess I'm fairly average, because mine fit fairly well. The Fit Pack they offer helped with keeping the light out and the Elite strap is easier to adjust and a little more comfortable on my ears. I'm amazed it fits at all for people with large noses and glasses. The tips he gives here are good.

Agreed - I believe Oculus/Facebook got a lot more gruff than they deserved when it was announced that the Quest 2 would ship with a cloth wrap, and only three possible IPD adjustments. I purchased a Rift S when it was announced, however I couldn't get the IPD right, so it was returned. I just knew the Oculus Quest 2 was going to be another IPD nightmare, however they made it work with a single panel. The cloth strap is also nothing to sneeze at - and even though I prefer the enhanced/elite head strap, I can't believe how well the cloth strap fits. I'm truly impressed with the Oculus Quest 2.

I was going to take my meta quest 2 back but next time I power it up.. I'll try this first. I have glasses and it's such a pain to get on with them as well. thanks for the vid... I'll try it. I have VR with PS4/5 and It's never hurt me at all. So this was a surprise that I ended up with a migraine after 10 minutes on this thing.

That will help I'm sure, thanks. I am also trying the counterbalance weight at the back and this has helped a lot. Why didn't Oculus put the electronics and battery at the back to reduce the weight on your face???
I'm glad the video helped! That's a really great though. My guess is having everything in one place makes for faster repair and replacement, and placing electronics in the head strap limits the installation of other head straps.
