Yes! And the workaround to get inbetween the settings doesn't make up for not including a slider, but at last it gives more people options if they've heard about it
And trying to made those mid setting adjustments while you are in a game, often you end up touching the lens surface which is bad. Oculus bring back the IPD external slider!!!
Mine is 63mm so it works well for me but has to be annoying how so many can't fine-tune it for their IPD. Also want to see VR going forward to be standard with focal adjustments. To me it's a big barrier to entry.

What a fantastic video! Thank you for this amazing video to help out so many people! And yes Field of view is extremely important to me. After experiencing how the Valve Index feels, the quest 2 just doesn't give me that same little extra view. But then again that's comparing apples to oranges with $300 vs $1000!
I never understood why people make such a big deal about FOV until I started using the glasses spacer. Even just that small distance further from the lenses made my overall view noticeably smaller. Now I'm also on that NEED MORE FOV bandwagon.
I use prescription lenses in my Q2, but previously I had worn glasses with the spacer. I've just added a Kiwi Elite strap which is amazing for comfort but I still wasn't happy with the blurry picture having to be very careful how my Q2 was positioned on my head. After watching your video I realised I still had the glasses spacer fitted. I've removed it and wow absolutely crystal clear vision, all crisp and well focused. It had been blurry all because I had forgotten to remove the spacer, d'oh!!
Having tried just about all the lens adapters out there, I've come up with what is a better solution for me. I simply put two tiny beads of fun-tack gum type adhesive directly on the outer edges top/bottom of the quest2 lens and press the corrective lens right onto it. Minimizes FOV reduction, no added bulk of adapter rings/magnets to get in the way of your nose and brow. And the adapter rings do crack and snap over time. Give it a try.
VR Wave lenses also move around a bit too easily as they are attached with relatively weak magnets. Especially if you have a larger nose ridge, and I ended up scratching my lenses on both the VR wave lenses and the Quest 2. What you really need to do is download side quest on your computer and connect it to your quest 2 then turn up the texture resolution to highest. The only problem is it decreases battery life. Combine that with the lenses for a perfectly sharp in image. Also you can customize some of these lenses for your prescription.
@Shunazo - It affects the quest 2 without the link. The problem is, every time the headset turns off it returns to the default resolution. So even if you don't get frame rate issues in your game (differs game to game), it wont stay at the new resolution, rather you have to keep turning it back on. In side quest you can also turn up the gpu/cpu power and this alongside increasing the resolution might allow the headset to work better with a game that would otherwise struggle at a higher resolution, the problem is, it drains the battery much faster, so if you don't have a battery pack like with the elite headstrap, you're going to face battery issues doing this. Separately, have a superior headstrap, over and above that of the one out of the box: this helps keep your headset in place and in the right sweetspot for your eyes. Did you try the glasses spacer? Yea, OQ2 takes a lot of messing around with to have a clearer view. Mine is pretty good now but I had to shell out some $ for the prescription lenses
@@VRwithJasmine yes i have it on. ive gotten use to it more, however the fov is till not the best, and i feel oculus should have made the headset a little larger, its still a great headset overall though.
I just got my mines from honsvr, it’s the magnetic kind, and it was $59.95. I love them. Glad I don’t have to wear glasses inside the headset anymore lol
Recently my VR was fogging up when i tried clean the lenses with a hair dryer in cool (or cold) mode. And it worked, now IDK why it worked but thats the important
Any air blowing on the fogged lenses work... there's actually fans built into facial interfaces that do this but it can dry out your eyes to have the fan blowing into the headset for extended periods
I don't really notice any pov reduction when I use spacer and glasses. But I did order some lenses. Magnetic. Reloptix. They should take about 4 weeks to get. Waited 2 already. So we will see : ) I do like the lenses you talked about too. Should be a lot more comfortable then wearing glasses pushing on my nose : )
I have not had any problems using my glasses with a Q2, or any other VR headset. Mine are 140x40mm, rimless titanium frames, high index lens (thinner/lighter). Also, if you have multi-focals (bifocals) make sure these are no more than +1.50. I also found that using the VR Cover standard interface with their eyeglass spacer and Cool pads (I use the thin one) works very well with my measured ipd = 69mm and provides a bit more eyeglass clearance. With #3 outer setting and does not significantly effect my FOV, nor do I see any left/right outer bars.
Great video! However, I use the glasses spacer (Irish nose 🤣) and I play mostly vr table tennis and golf and have no problems with movement. I had to use the spacer as it was tok blurry otherwise . don't wear glasses but found this really helped.Keep up your good work 😘
I just use a par of anti scratch Rings to keep my glasses from making contact with the lenses along side the included glasses spacers. Had no major issues on my end, and was somewhat cheeper then getting dedicated lenses for a headset.
I have a quest 2 for over a month, it was great the first few weeks but then got blurry, the reason was grease on the lenses. I used a lens pens and the quest experience is no longer blurry!
Omg what was that 1st game you showed us? When you were talking about if you're not doing much motion. It was like a bubble floating in a Forrest looking area
I'm kinda screwed with the spacing because my eyes are right in between 2&3. And my glasses are too wide to fit in the headset. I'll look into the Rx lenses but im not really getting my hopes up.
My eyes are between, too! You can set it to between. It just won’t click in place but it’ll stay there if you move it carefully. Check the description for a discount code to VR Rock- those are the lenses I use (:
@@Winterborn5 Yes! I have another video on fixing blurriness and I talked about it there. I'm pretty sure I linked it in the description of this video.. you can also check my top most popular videos on youtube. It's there :)
I'm playing Skyrim VR (modded of course) and get some pretty bad light shafts that stretch from the virtual controllers to the center of my vision. I can only assume this is due to my astigmatism. I can't use the glasses spacer as my head is larger than the average person. My glasses are literally too wide to fit within the confines of the facial interface without putting pressure on the sides. Also, I'm concerned that the IPD adjustment may not allow for someone of my neanderthal sized skull. I have it set to the max, but still concerned it isn't right. Thanks for your video. I'll give these lenses a try. Hopefully they are enough. :)
Have you noticed that sometimes image in Oculus can be, not fully blurry, but how to say that, little bit blurry, not ideally shaped. I wonder how to fix that
That would be incredible! It sounds possible though really expensive as each person will need a custom software-- or you'll need to use machine learning for all the fine adjustments.
@@VRwithJasmine I was thinking just one software. As long as you know your prescription, you'd input it somewhere in the settings menu and the screen/s would simulate your prescription.
I don’t think this is possible just through software although it would be cool if you could. The if you need prescription than the screen will always be just blurred and just software can’t change the blurring if it is too bad to see the screen projecting a different image it would still be blurry.
I've been using VR for years with glasses... never needed to use the provided glasses spacer with any of my headsets. The biggest problem with the Quest 2's clarity is that it only had 3 IPD settings instead of the Quest 1's more fine-tune-able slider, technically the Quest 2 still has that functionality but its kind of difficult to do because the physical mechanism wants to be in one of the three positions not somewhere in between.
@@VRwithJasmine They're absolutely fine. I wear dailies, so I can just dispose of them after use. They're quite cheap aswell. Ask your optician about trying daily contact lenses ☺
The eyeglass spacer does not help me at all! The game is so small and it is so tight and hurts my face if I try to wear my glasses! I’m going try contacts or vr waves! Thanks for the info!
I don't get this problem. But wanna know what I do get sometimes?? FOGGY VISION!! 15 seconds in and one lense is foggiest, and the other is half as foggy, wipe it all away, 7 seconds later, it reforms!! ... Happens every once in awhile. Not at all often.
No, it was cause I was using the Rift before and the visual quality of Quest 2 is a lot better overall. Unfortunately, OQ2 is blurrier because it’s harder to get the IPD and headset adjustment right.
Yea, that’s normal. Newer headsets are getting better at increasing pixels per inch but overall consumer VR tech is still pretty new. You’ll get used to it. Also, Recroom doesn’t have the highest level of graphics. Try playing Red Matter 2
Try using the glasses spacer with your headset for some time. Give it at least a week. If it really bothers you, then consider buying accessories but I'd give it some time first. Here's my Quest 2 for Beginner's tutorial which also talks about this: ua-cam.com/video/kIZ-ARVKtn0/v-deo.html
Any person can use them but if you don't wear glasses, they might not help you as much. I'm editing a video now on how to get rid of blur without these for non-glasses wearers. Hopefully out this weekend.
I'm curious did she wear glasses with the original RIFT and how come it took months to notice the blurry. Coming from the RIFT cv1 wasn't it obvious from the moment first put it on?
I didn’t use glasses with the CV1 cause I was new to VR so I was still amazed by VR to notice the nuances. It wasn’t obvious on Quest 2 at first either but after playing more and more on a regularly basis, my eyes started to hurt.
Maybe you should try to upgrade the quality on your quest through sidequest. It allows one to up the textures and sharpness and field of view on the quest stand alone. I have a video on my channel on it.
i found out how to be clear u need the top strap a1 and second u need to use the top strap i made mine crystal even tho my vision is blurry using it with glasses is meh
I didn't think about losing field of view using the spacer. I am using prescription lens inserts from Widmo VR and I guess I don't need the spacer anymore, but just haven't taken it out. No one uses my Quest but me, so I don't worry about taking off those lenses, also don't need to take off the facial interface anyway, so that isn't a problem. Unfortunately I lost the original lens inserts or whatever those plastic pieces are that keep the Quest lenses in place, so if I did need to take off the prescription lenses I am stuck. Now I did buy replacement inserts that also protected my glasses from touching the Quest lenses if I chose to remove my prescription lens inserts and use my glasses again or if someone wanted to use my Quest, but somehow they got misplaced and I would have to buy more, but since no one uses my Quest but me it's not an issue now.
@@VRwithJasmine I mean the original plastic parts that keep the Quest lenses in place, not the actual prescription lens inserts, that is by Widmo VR. I had lost the plastic pieces because they got misplaced as I didn't need them to hold the prescription lens inserts in place
i dont wear glasses but when i put the glasses extension it reduced the blurry vision a little but since i am working now so i might check it with the lens trick after work thanks ^^
the difference with the rift is actually 92% more pixels ....plus the matrix is denser....30% more subpixels it's 56% more pixels compared to quest 1 which has the same type of matrix as the rift
@VR with Jasmine if u google it it comes up ....the rift and quest1 have oled screen pentile matrix ....q2 has lcd screen rgb stripe matrix ...most oled screens are pentile but some like psvr use rgb stripe matrix
Lol these are super expensive. If you get them without all the bells and whistles, you can get them for $80. There are cheaper options as well if you look around that aren’t these ones.
I don't like the clip on lens, somehow, Its not as good as regular glasses. I think it's because sometimes the left eyes is watching thourght the right oculus lens, with glasses it uses its normal correction but with the clip on it gets the wrong eye correction. Same thing for the other eye.
Try using the glasses spacer anyway. That helps me even without glasses. Also, adjust how the headset is fitted on your head. It’s different for each person. Finally, I’m jealous of your 20/20 vision

Aw, congrats! How exciting. I have an entire playlist for VR beginners that should answer a lot of your questions. ua-cam.com/play/PL_syaeh9V7Bs7WiquwQsO9jPCrnbJgTfN.html
just got my it today. I've played on many vr headsets but the oculus quest 2 was very blurry, and the fov was horrible. I've tried a lot to fix it but can't seem to fix it. ( I have glasses to btw)
Do you still like them? Do they have the blue light filter?
@@VRwithJasmine you can add blue light for 9.95
Recently my VR was fogging up when i tried clean the lenses with a hair dryer in cool (or cold) mode. And it worked, now IDK why it worked but thats the important
it could be pre-warming to
Any air blowing on the fogged lenses work... there's actually fans built into facial interfaces that do this but it can dry out your eyes to have the fan blowing into the headset for extended periods
I fix this because the vr didn't was fit on me right on the head. Now I can see everything good
Yay! It’s crazy how hard it is to adjust the headset on your head.
@@VRwithJasmine haha I know right😅
I don't really notice any pov reduction when I use spacer and glasses. But I did order some lenses. Magnetic. Reloptix. They should take about 4 weeks to get. Waited 2 already. So we will see : ) I do like the lenses you talked about too. Should be a lot more comfortable then wearing glasses pushing on my nose : )
Ooh! Let me know how those are once you get them. Getting the lenses for me was like going from 720p to 4k 😂 WAY CLEARER.
Update?
Buy uncut prescription lenses and place it in position using fun tack gum.
I had to use the spacer as it was tok blurry otherwise . don't wear glasses but found this really helped.Keep up your good work 😘
hey i have a question, where can i play VR ping pong/table tennis? idk where to look
@@andromeda8580 it's called "eleven table tennis"
I just use a par of anti scratch Rings to keep my glasses from making contact with the lenses along side the included glasses spacers. Had no major issues on my end, and was somewhat cheeper then getting dedicated lenses for a headset.
That's a great hack! Very clever. Prescription lenses are so pricey.
I have a quest 2 for over a month, it was great the first few weeks but then got blurry, the reason was grease on the lenses. I used a lens pens and the quest experience is no longer blurry!
Wow, this was unexpected! I usually just wipe my lenses with a lens cloth. I'll need to try a lens pen. Thanks for the tip
Omg what was that 1st game you showed us? When you were talking about if you're not doing much motion. It was like a bubble floating in a Forrest looking area
Brink Traveler! It’s the first game on my top 10 games list here: ua-cam.com/video/Bg2VQIn5N8w/v-deo.html
Yk there's those little stickers on the headset that u peel off it stops the blur
Great point! I forgot about that. Yes, definitely remove that sticker from the lenses!!
I don't notice the difference in field of view using the spacer. I'll check now.
Did you notice it now? I definitely do!
@@VRwithJasmine wait wat? Between settings works?FERB!!! I know what we're gonna do today!
I wonder how to fix that
What about Contact Lenses...
I wonder if the technology exists to simulate you eye/glasses prescription through software? That way no glasses would be needed at all.
I never had to use glasses with the HTC vive
I don’t think this is possible just through software although it would be cool if you could. The if you need prescription than the screen will always be just blurred and just software can’t change the blurring if it is too bad to see the screen projecting a different image it would still be blurry.
@@mrsteeleftw Do you wear glasses?
I used "VR optician" for my rift s (lenses where supposedly manufactured at carl zeiss), they where very sharp with no distortion
Whenever I need new lenses, I'll check these out! Thank you :)
Pro cheap tip... just use eye lens instead of glasses... you can use with your vr glasses and use day to day
I put the glasses spacer in mine because my daughter wears glasses.
I leave it there and notice no problems when I'm using it.
There shouldn't be any problems. In fact, it probably makes the visuals clearer. Only thing is slightly smaller FOV but nothing too noticeable!
I've never tried glasses without the glasses spacer. I'm too scared to ruin my glasses. Totally agree on the 3 IPD settings thing!
Good to know, I might try this since my glass are somewhat flexible(not sure what's its name is but its an oxford brand glass).
@@VRwithJasmine try firmoo
I have two pairs of glasses one fits in fine but the other is too big. So it depends on size of glasses.
It actually stays between two numbers.
Great video Jasmine. That'll help a lot of people. I sometimes wear contact lenses ☺
Thank you! How are contacts with VR? I’ve always used glasses cause I’m too scared to learn to put in contacts
Thank you for the information ! Very proffesional
Aw, I appreciate that, Stash!
thanks I was kinda questioning hmm what if I cant wear it because I wear glasses and found this :)
I don't understand why your clarity was so much better when you first got the Quest 2. Did your Rx change that much? (I'm still using my Rift S, fyi.)
No, it was cause I was using the Rift before and the visual quality of Quest 2 is a lot better overall. Unfortunately, OQ2 is blurrier because it’s harder to get the IPD and headset adjustment right.
Grazie!!! Thank you. Hugs from Italy

Is it normal to see pixels? When I play recroom there are a lot of pixels. Is that what everyone sees?
Yea, that’s normal. Newer headsets are getting better at increasing pixels per inch but overall consumer VR tech is still pretty new. You’ll get used to it. Also, Recroom doesn’t have the highest level of graphics. Try playing Red Matter 2
I’m a big guy and my glasses are wide, so they don’t fit. I have to put in my contacts to enjoy the headset.
Super inconvenient unless you have your contacts in most the time anyway. The lenses are a great alternative!
This channel is gonna do well 👏🏻 👌🏻
I hope so! 🤞
Just got quest 2, and I have glasses. Noticed it right away that edges are blurred. I’m frustrated, and not sure if I should buy more accessories. 😩🤔
Would it be easier for you to just wear contacts? That was the easiest solution I had found.
Yes but I’ve always worn glasses. Never learned to use contacts.
got mine monday just randomly started getting blurry with movements but not as bad if i’m staying still. was perfectly fine when i got it
I've been thinking about getting these, or just getting contacts leaning towards contacts now.
I’d say contact lenses if you’re ok with putting them in every time. I can’t touch my eyeballs. Lol
@@VRwithJasmine I prefer glasses over contacts 100% but VR feels so nice without anything in the way of the lenses.
thank u for this!!!! this was definitely something i was thinking abt considering my terrible eyes hahaha
I wear glasses fine with my htc vive and they sit good. Maybe it’s the design idk
Probably the design tbh. Also depends if you move your head a lot (like me) or not.
The render resolution makes the images blurry and choppy . Maybe oculus to release and update and fix that
Do you mean that gameplay renders at a lower resolution in order to maintain frame rate?
T just got oculus quest 2 idk what to do with it
You mean what games to play or just overall?
without the spacers do I risk too much scratching the lenses of the quest?
Yup
@@VRwithJasmine I see. I'm not even gonna try it then. The price is too high if it doesn't work. Thanks
Sorry, but these lenses only for people who wear glasses, or any person can use them? I mean any person who wants to get clear and safe picture
Any person can use them but if you don't wear glasses, they might not help you as much. I'm editing a video now on how to get rid of blur without these for non-glasses wearers. Hopefully out this weekend.
Jasmine!! Awesome to see what you're up to and have been doing, you put a big smile on my face, congrats on all the success hope to catch up someday.
Alberto!! Thank you. I was such a little baby when we used to work together.
Fov is important to me because I do simracing. The more fov, the less I have to move my head
I tried the XTAL 3 headset recently and that has 180 FOV. It was mad!
@@VRwithJasmine that would be a dream. Never heard of that

i found out how to be clear u need the top strap a1 and second u need to use the top strap i made mine crystal even tho my vision is blurry using it with glasses is meh
Which original lens inserts?
@@VRwithJasmine I mean the original plastic parts that keep the Quest lenses in place, not the actual prescription lens inserts, that is by Widmo VR. I had lost the plastic pieces because they got misplaced as I didn't need them to hold the prescription lens inserts in place
i dont wear glasses but when i put the glasses extension it reduced the blurry vision a little but since i am working now so i might check it with the lens trick after work thanks ^^
Awesome! I actually made another video with tips on how to fix blurriness for people who don't wear glasses: ua-cam.com/video/XoePplSGyAg/v-deo.html
The glasses spacer literally pressed my glasses into my face, especially on the bridge of my nose. I HAVE to use it without my glasses.
Yea, it’s not comfortable for me to wear glasses with my headset either. I’m glad they provided that option for people who’s glasses can fit though.
Contact lenses ?
I have terrible eyesight both near and far distance, but somehow I have no problem with the Quest 2, I don't even need my glasses.
That’s wild! I wish I knew the science behind this.
the difference with the rift is actually 92% more pixels ....plus the matrix is denser....30% more subpixels
it's 56% more pixels compared to quest 1 which has the same type of matrix as the rift
Interesting, thanks for sharing! What type of matrix is rift/quest vs. quest 2? I want to look it up!
@VR with Jasmine if u google it it comes up ....the rift and quest1 have oled screen pentile matrix ....q2 has lcd screen rgb stripe matrix
...most oled screens are pentile but some like psvr use rgb stripe matrix
Mine is still blurry after even using my glasses and I've adjusted everything over and over I don't know what to do
Did you check my pinned comment? I added more tips there.
Nice video, thanks. But I'm loathe to pay for lenses that are half the price of the actual Quest 2.
Lol these are super expensive. If you get them without all the bells and whistles, you can get them for $80. There are cheaper options as well if you look around that aren’t these ones.
Oh yes. Important!
why am i watching this i have perfect vision and don't have a vr headset

Glad it was helpful! 🙌
I don't like the clip on lens, somehow, Its not as good as regular glasses.
I think it's because sometimes the left eyes is watching thourght the right oculus lens, with glasses it uses its normal correction but with the clip on it gets the wrong eye correction.
Same thing for the other eye.
not helping . cause fresnel lens are suppose to be good (almost) only in a fixed direction if you move your eyeball you will see the blurriness.
You are nearsighted or astigmatic, don't play vr for more fatigue.
The experience can't be like the normal human eyes.
Thanks I wonder if I can use my flex spending for the lenses
Worth a try! I know some companies allow you to expense VR headsets as a fitness expense.
I have 20/20 vision and it’s still blurry .
Try using the glasses spacer anyway. That helps me even without glasses. Also, adjust how the headset is fitted on your head. It’s different for each person.
Finally, I’m jealous of your 20/20 vision
Why does VR footage still stuck in 2023? Literally every video I watch just gives me headaches from all these pixels
