    That dude must have been flying around to ramp to roll ove going uphill. That's an impressive piece of work all by itself. And with all their new storage cabinets that encampment is going to be styling.

    Alex is a great worker. He's the type of dude u want on a crew. Alex was the doing the hard work. Climbed the container and rigged it. Picked up the majority of the boxes all while never complaining. Great job Alex!

    I think using PIP occasionally adds to it. Generally I like the whole screen view, though, as it's less busy and doesn't chop off part of the main view. Josh, I think you do a great job videoing, and I appreciate your work and commentary. Keep it up - I really enjoy your videos!

    I like full screen with the PIP thrown in just a bit, like in this vid, to focus on a certain rigging or something...as bad as that one was ripped I was surprised it stood up well to the recovery. Good job Josh and crew!!

    First time I’ve seen a container sliced open with that much damage! Spectacular!
    PS - Agree that our rain driving skills in SoCal have deteriorated after so many dry years.

    For what it is worth, I would have liked to see a close up of hooking up the container straps as the pic in pic. Having fooled around with trail camera video, I can appreciate the work it took to produce the video. As a NM desert dweller, your rain looked like a down pour. Thanks for your work.

    I've lived on both coasts in the SoCal, NC, and NY regions for most of my adult life.
    I agree that the rains in SoCal can definitely be a driving challenge as it mixes with surface oils, just as driving in snow in NC and NY for those who haven't done it often to develop good maneuverability skills. When in NC, it snowed few & infrequent periods. When that happened, people were all over the road and off into the ditches, just as when they received freezing rain. All of it makes the surface slick as heck. Anyhow, love how you implement the picture in a picture for video giving another perspective. Rock on!

To offer feedback, I enjoy the secondary picture inside of the main view one for critical moments. Most of the comments I see seem to be in agreeance and I agree as well. How you've been editing the videos has made it so pleasant to watch. Your commentary and look behind the curtain for say is always super interesting and insightful. Keep doing what you're doing, your channel is truly in a lane of its own in terms of quality and insight. Stay safe out there and happy new year!

    Well donne! As for your question regarding pic-in-pic. Personally I like videos best that use a variety of filming techniques like tripoid- or helmetcameras and so I also prefer a variety in editing. 25 min of still tripoid-shots can be as boring as much as 25 mins of hectic helmet-views are nerving. An occasional picture in picture sequence can truly enhance a video, 25 min of the same I find to uneasy on my eyes and my brain. I guess its like cooking. A good mixture of good ingridences will make a fine dinner, an overdosis of the finest ingridience will spoil it.

    Really nice video Josh. I don't mind one little insert occasionally such as your colleague climbing the container and showing his perspective but it can be overdone. I prefer what you did today by showing the rollover from one camera and then showing it from another. However, it's great to have different shots like the drone and we appreciate that very much. Of and we like the beard!

    The PIP has it's merits, when used right, and also when the cameras are well positioned,. So in this you showing from ground level what where Alex is whilst his camera shows the detail of hooking up the container (or at least it would with just a little bit more tilt forward). For the roll over part, multi angles in full screen for for me.

    Funny thing though, I've lived in southeastern Wisconsin my whole life and while nobody bats an eye at a rainstorm, any substantial amount of snow hits the ground and people who should really know better are out stacking cars in the ditch like cordwood.
    We just had a big snow dump here over the weekend. I did a parts run for work today to the next town over (10-15min trip) and saw 1 car stuck in a snowbank on an arrow-straight country backroad, and a minivan nosed into the ditch on the corner of a bone-dry and heavily salted intersection next to a truckstop. Like...how?

    I always watch your videos as soon as they get uploaded and really enjoy them, great work. The PIP works for small segments but in this case Alex (?) needs to tilt the GoPro down a bit as if it is his line of sight. The captures slightly missed what he was doing, it just takes some experimentation to get the rIght angle. I'm in the UK and just love the Rotators you have over there, we dont get them here much and even the ones we do have are usually imported from the US by specialists with a lot of spare cash

    • @PepesTowingService
      @PepesTowingService  2 роки тому +1

      The headsets are redundant in close quarters. Why would we have them on when we're right next to each other. You have to figure at this point we know exactly what to do and how to rig and be in sync. The headsets are great on tough jobs like mixers in houses and what not, but on open jobs like this I see no point.

    Maybe a previous truck dumped a case or 2 of paint on the corner & the container driver started sliding on it. With the rain, I imagine it would have been slippery. Container slides sideways into the retaining wall & flips over it. Anyway it happened, I'm sure they are busy sticking to the driver right now.
