  • Freeway Shut Down For a Loaded Tractor Trailer Rollover: Heavy Rescue. Watch us upright this rolled over trailer while LOADED! Watch in this week's CRAZY episode as we upright a fully loaded tractor trailer in record time. For every 10 containers, we maybe get 1 trailer. As you know if you're a regular subscriber, we do container rollovers allllll the time, it's what this channel is known for. But trailers can present a host of different problems and unique characteristics that make them so much more challenging.
For starters, a steel container is insanely strong and can take a beating. Trailers can have soft walls and are more prone to ripping and tearing. In this case, the trailer ripped up front and you can see the buckles from the pressure as I do the initial walk around. That's why Alex and Dave decided to play it smart and use multiple straps with angle irons to have as much surface tension during the upright.
Their plan worked phenomenal as you can see in the video. Once it started coming up, there is no going back. You have to finish through otherwise you risk the load bursting out the wall. While rigged, they were able to lift up and slide the trailer back so it would land flush with the freeway. This is also where the equalizing sling comes in handy, so everything is constantly in sync.
Don't forget to head to www.pepestowla.com/shop after the video and grab your cool Pepe's swag to represent your favorite tow company!
►All footage was shot with my Sony FX3 and Alex's GoPro. I also edit my own footage using Davinci Resolve Studio.

"Hey Dave, You got some experience doing this?" That was *Pepe's Perfection* right there!! AWESOME video!! Kudos to you Josh, Alex showed up with Hulk (your rotator) and you came with the heavy tow truck. You never once took Hulk back and gave Alex the wrecker. Everyone did their job in the truck they came with. An *EXCELLENT* team leader does this!!!! *BOOM* goes the dynamite!! Pepe's perfection right there and Joe to the rescue with the tractor to finish it off!! LOVE IT!!!! Take care and be safe you all!!

Funny thing is Alex beat me to the shop on this since we got called in early. By the time I showed up Hulk and Flipper were gone lol so I jumped in Joe's truck and let the guys handle their thing. They had it rigged and the game plan set before I got there so they made it very easy for me to film.

Now this type of recovery shows an example of why when police agencies have heavy towing services on a rotation list for calls, one requirement is said company have a rotator as one of their available-to-respond units. This space needed such.

WOW -- that was a textbook recovery. I suppose the CHP wanted to halt the upright so they could stop traffic on the freeway below in case something went over the wall. I guess they haven't seen Pepe's do enough recoveries to know that there was no chance of that happening. (Of course, I know they want to stick with normal protocol.) It was a nice touch to locate a green ratchet strap to match the color of the tractor. It's only the best with Pepe's.

Honestly, it's all the little things that make a difference. God's favor always helps as well !
