so happy you mentioned babies and pets at those kind of meets, people act like i’m trippin when i get annoyed by that, made me feel like im the only one
@@LoderryPlaysPVP there is perfect reason to not want pets and babies. kids are fine, but your kid is 90%+ likely to just wail at all the stimulus overload. do i even explain why i dont want your dog in a car meet? i get people can train their dogs to sit still but its not a good place for them with the loud noises either, and it takes one asshole with a dog to place all his fur along a freshly waxed car, or put their front paws on the paint. kids if with parents over a certain age are fine, now meets with more idiots that like rev out like crazy everywhere and doing sketchy shit? yeah no. A day meet where more mature people are present? absolutely go for it! my dad used to take me to those all the times. one time we drove from quebec to florida in our RV around hurricane Katrina i think it was (before it came, we left about the time it began showing up) and me and my dad did sneak to a night time car meet while stopping at a walmart to rest (momma was cranky from exhaustion). one of my best memories. but dont bring newborns or even toddlers....
Cars and Coffee has been my go to for a few years now. Night time park and chills just arent what they used to be anymore, unless they are sanctioned by a biz
Hot take: people who refuse to go out and participate in the car scene and then proceed to complain about the car scene are the real problem. At least Drew still goes out and tries to be a part of it, the only thing that can fix the scene are people who know how to behave at a meet showing up and setting an example.
I feel like regular car enthusiasts that have been in the scene for a long time are starting to get embarrassed being around all the tik toker car enthusiasts
I like the way Radwood does it, everyone is allowed to participate (for price of admission of a car of course) and that leads to uniqueness throughout the show, doesn't matter if stock, modded, etc, if it's made between 1980-1999 it's allowed, they have a VIP section as well which costs more, the cars are more spaced out in VIP, and the VIP is usually filled with cool stuff, although it gets more interesting when someone puts something that isn't special into VIP, like last time I went where someone had their Tercel parked in VIP next to a Testarossa. Overall a great show with great culture
I needed this rant, because it proves to me that I'm not the only one who has these feelings about meets today. I much prefer cars and coffees to night meets, because it's the night meets that fall apart in 20-30 minutes, because people don't know how to act. All in all, the car scene today is trash, the old heads can still be fun, because there you at least get fun conversation without people judging or acting superior, but, I miss night meets being fun. Thanks Drew, I needed this video.
I thought do the sticker thing but people would instantly start making dupes. Maybe if the sticker had a QR code that lets them know it’s a true flock approved build
Paid events pretty much solve it. The big tuner culture and the import tuner meet in Chicago kicked ass. Was like $35-50$ to get in, more if you actually wanna feature your car.
I really enjoy these longer solo podcast style videos. Definitely hit a lot of points with the car scene here in socal. Come to some of the UCI collab meets. Definitely higher end crowd, some of the daddy’s money kids, mostly cool people with nice cars.
Categorization at entree where people guide you to your section would be life changing that would probably be the best way to go about it and would make the meets look much nicer
I parked my 1990 f150 next to a gt40 a couple months ago. Felt good. Its basically stock 🤣 just really clean. I use it to tow my foxbody around to shows so I can have both there lined up, both are the same color of red. The mustang is a little built, it's got mickey Thompson wheels so does the truck, motor is was told was punched out and built, Dino records show it making 450hp. Its got loud exhaust. Nothing too crazy, but its real clean.
I would recommend the midnight sokudo meets in SoCal, those are better at having a good selection of cars and have invitationals that are actually really well sorted.
What about my mint condition all original 1975 Chrysler Cordoba, 1999 30th Anniversary Pontiac Trans Am, and 2009 Pontiac G8 GT ?? The car scene is much different here on the East Coast of Canada compared to California, we don't have a lot of crazy custom cars. I host a weekly evening car meet during the summer months, it's a rural area but we average 50-60 cars a week. We have a food truck and picnic tables on a grassy area off to the side, most people bring chairs to sit there and socialise. People wander around and look at the cars but nobody really sits by their car hoping for compliments. We get cars ranging from 1920s to brand new Hellcats. It's pretty chill, there is no rev bombing or donuts, I give out prizes at the end, and it's a good evening with some nice cars.
I've heard you mention that you go to the canyons (Angel Crest) every so often and funnily enough there is an actual "meet" that happens every Friday at 8 AM. I don't know if you've heard of good vibes breakfast club but they started as porsche meet and slowly began expanding to a supercar/tuner meet. I know its at 8 but you should go one time. The vette would be perfect to take. Even ex-hoonigan guys like Vin go there every so often.
We do vip , modded area then rest everyone likes it but people park everyday traffic in modded area get roasted.. 😅 it works well we also hold some of the best meets but there small 40 cars avg
The babies and pets, I literally mentioned in a vid. It’s crazy how insensitive people are. Really enjoying this series, it’s nice to have something to listen too while I work 🫡
You get 5s of revs at a car meet. Use it wisely. Use it when you pull in, use it maybe once sitting still, use it when you leave. But A total of 5 seconds. After that, it's gratuitous. I personally, do it a little when pulling in and then burn the remaining of the 5s when I pull off when I leave.
I am a big fan of oem plus my self but all my cars are rare so that's fine I guess I will be eventually building a w210 ev12 but need to learn alot about ecu and tuning first big project
From an old head, if someone parks a Kia Soul next to your Vette is just makes it stand out that much more. If all of the hot rides parks next to yours. We'll it's not a Ferrari or a Lambo. It's just a Vette. Zr1 or not. It just a Vette. Someone else, like me doesn't see it like that. I love all cars. But look at every view from every angle. I'd rather have that Zr1 over a Ferrari or a Lambo. That Vette impresses me more than 1 of the others. But look through everyone's eyes.
i fucking love the idea of you handing out Flock approved stickers to nice builds. you should start doing it drew. especially if you meet a sub at a meet and they have a nice build. also ive thought about it, why dont you host your own car meets? we can sign up somewhere and the only way people get in is with a confirmation/invite. local or invite only, idk you can do it in many different ways.
When you're talking about invite only and vip meets - in the old days they had car clubs, who had their sections. You might only hear about the meet if you are linked in with the club members who are invited. Idk what happened real car clubs.
I gotta catback, coils, aftermarket clear tail lights, aftermarket headlights, and an aftermarket grill on my civic. Can I park with the other civics? I’m genuinely asking lol
went to car meet once out here, just a ton of straight piped g35s, maybe 2 or 3 cars that are actually nice to look at, but man it makes me sad seeing how the car scene is..
I have never understood why people go to car meets for their own cars. I see my car daily, I want to see everyone else's. Couldn't care less where it is parked at the meet

@@invertedv12powerhouse77 100% agreed
Between 2 Cars is gonna be a favorite video series of mine and it’s just drew ranting lol
This is starting to turn into a podcast and I like it
Cocktuah
Cars and Coffee has been my go to for a few years now. Night time park and chills just arent what they used to be anymore, unless they are sanctioned by a biz
Basically 2 uploads in a day 😂 that's how you know the garage is gonna change.

stock chargers and challengers at our meets.

I disagree
Loving the series great stuff to listen to while at work
this feels like stand up (comedy) but for the car scene lol even the way drew paces back and forth and rants, only Drew speaking facts ofc
15:17 I think it’s a good idea. I always wished for something like this
Facts, car clubs used to essentially be this but now it’s just kids running around with speed hunter auto zone banners
Love these rant videos drew
the sticker idea is giving me the "car meet trophy guy" vibe🤣
Lovee the rant series brooo!!!

The “raaamm paaaa” should be outlawed 😂😂

this is the video everyone who likes cars and car meets needs to see
Yes, do the flock approved stickers!!!
The sticker idea is basically what the OG car clubs like violent were lol

You should call your rants like “Peacock Uncaged” or something like that
😂😂
very enjoyable type of video to watch
i very much like these vids drew there chill and gives me sum to watch when eating dinner👌
You should do this more drew, it’s cool seeing you talk about serious car topics!
Love this , turn it to a series
im happy there is 2 channels so excited to see what happens
I’m loving these too! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Drew, I’ve only been in the car scene for about a year, I’m 19, n I can agree with your opinions😂
Hell yeah. Awesome. Instant sub
Sticker of approval will be put on my pos

1:18 what about an ‘88 R31 Skyline? 👀
more people need to see these videos lol
11:55 it’s because people park far away so cause they probably have npc cars
Enjoy the rant bro
I just hate how every meet turns into a takeover here in FL. Always some dude in a mopar starts swinging or burning out
Drew needs to get a stool the back and forth in garage it’s crazy 💀💀 he needs a stool but without wheels cuz it’s gone be the same 😂
12:30 "I wanna see more cars than people at a car meet"
I gotcha drew lemme trailer my car so you can check out my truck too
Roll meets, or a dig race going down… just gotta be taped in
the vette basically be talking back too you😂on the road 0:53

For example he went to a te 37 only meet that was fire clean builds
Wreck it Ralph what’s the difference between a car meet & cars & coffee ? So ones ok for 8am & the other isn’t ?

do a video series where you check out viewer’s cars and judge to see who does and doesn’t get the sticker

Would a stock s2000 be ight 🥺🥺
You should try going to a car event like grid life
Link up with finding nick, he goes to pretty cool car meets all the time
Underground meets in the la canyons are where it’s at those are cars that have accualy been built and raced no posers

2 Cars 1 UA-camr
3:50 I bet car meets are worse and boring now because of the economy because I mean look at the housing market and groceries now compared to 2016
The problem with car people nowadays that they think cars are status symbol not a hobby. That makes the ego stroking even bad.
What about a stock 20’ Kia k900 😂
