LITERALLY saved my a** with this video! Couldn't figure out the motion clip stuff AND didn't know about the Create Pivot option! You've saved me SO much time, man! Thank you!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Having so much trouble getting a whole bunch of mixamo animations to work in blender but your tutorial and then importing back into blender worked perfectly. Thank you. Just earned another subscriber.
Edmond Lord asked before. Same problem with me. "when I add the 2nd motion it automatically take over the T-Pose never get back to it (4:48 ) do you have any idea about it?"
any idea why my character get deformed sometimes doing this method. il do it then export to fbx and import to twinmotion and itl be deformed in twin motion. but if I reimport the fbx I exported back to c4d it looks fine
hey man - its 3 years later and maxon releases a whole lot of new C4D´s - in my Version 2023.2.2 its not working anymore - the moment i drag the animated clip into the time line the tpose turns immediately into the new animation so i cannot do any transition......
This is amazing. I got a question rather a problem when I bake all the animation. The rig collapsed itself on frame 2 goes back to the animation then collapsed again. How do I fix this? Thanks!
Great tutorial, everything I needed. Thanks a lot. But do you have any idea how I can move a combined animation? If I put them in a NULL and move them it messes up the animation
@3:16 - "Go to animate and select "Add motion clip" - There is no such option. Software like this changes so much it makes it almost impossible to learn on youtube.
I wish you did that in july 2020.I had an project and I tried to figure out how can I increase the path of walking animation. Thank so much for that . It is a crucial trick
Great Tutorial Mr. Travis Davids, Can you please make a tutorial when it's mixamo locomotion pack, I have followed your steps but to no avail, can you try it?
Hi does this also work with the Mixamo control Rig? Because when we "add motion clip" to the null object included Mixamo control rig. Unfortunately the rig goes all the way. Is there another way.. Nice Tutorial By the way.
I have a problem. When I export the animation to Marvelous, the feet are below Ground on the board, so it's difficult to add clothes, as the knees are right at the 0 point and not the feet. Going to FBX is worse, because, apparently, the central axis of the character is at the knees, like in your ninja character and it deforms the mesh completely. Is there any way to stop that from happening?
I suggest not to group the objects using the shortcut "alt G"/"option G" (or RMB and GROUP), but to create a new "null object" in the world center (coordinates: P: 0, 0, 0, W: 0°, 0°, 0°), and then put the objects (Rig and mesh) under this "neutral Null". Hopefully this helps solve your problems!
I'm having some issues importing allembic or fbx to Marvelous. So when I export the animation has allembic from C4D and I import it in MD, the Character shows without texture and it walks on the same spot. If I export it has FBX (bake clip & converting layer to keyframe animation) the character is textured and in TPOSE but starts walking always in TPOSE.. If I open the .fbx or .abc exports in C4D all work perfectly. Any idea what da heck is going on?
Amazing tutorial 🙏 Even though I would like to know how can I make the character to stay in place while running for example? Cause when I keyframe the hip joint for the character to stay and not run all over the place the animation gets distorted
Thank you so much! On Mixamo when you choose a run or walk animation there is an option to download the animation where they walk in place so you can use that. It's by the settings on the right where you adjust Style, speed, overdrive etc. It only works for certain animations but a run and walk has the "In Place" box you can tick so u can export it out like that.
@@TravisDavids thank you very much for taking the time 🥺 and it blew my mind cause I was setting the z position of every single frame to 0 haha. It changed everything for me from now on thank you once again!
great video! quick question - everything works up until when I re-import the FBX file into another c4d project. I am only getting the rigged skeleton that is animated properly but not the skin or materials! I've matched my FBX export and import settings to to yours but still just getting the moving skeleton - any suggestions for what might be wrong? thank you~
Hello, I'm french, excuse me for the translation. Thanks for your tutorials. I wanted to know, should we necessarily start from the T pose in the animation, or start directly from the mixamo animation?
Great tutorial Travis! When I import the character from Mixamo to Cinema 4d the eyes are not aligned with the face. What i am doing wrong? Please help. Thank you
Are u using one of Mixamos characters or your own because that is odd? If something is getting detached this is how u can reattach it to the rig ua-cam.com/video/aEB6EvW4_A4/v-deo.html
@@TravisDavids Thank you for your quick response. The character I import from FUSE Adobe to Mixamo and after to Cinema 4D. I have notice some other problem with the fingers.
Need some help. I am new to c4d , when I try to import this fbx format in lumion the animation is not working .I have followed those steps you have mentioned to export in fbx format (yes it works in 3ds max but not in lumion) what should I do now ,pls help
I assume you figured this out already, but for anyone who's still having issues. I had to copy the object/animation that I wanted to export and paste it in a brand new project. Then I exported it to a FBX file. After that, it worked flawlessly.
Fantastic tutorial Travis thank you so much! Just wish you'd docked your timeline at the bottom, it's pretty distracting when you're dragging it back and forward. To know where the playhead is when you apply a pivot would've been nice. Nevertheless, that aside....brilliant work and thanks again!

Hello teacher!!I have a question.
tpose doesn't have any action, why do you use it first and save fbx as tpose at the end? Why do you need tpose?
is there a way to do this but just with the skeleton for unreal
Thank you very helpful !!!! Do you have a tutorial/Tips how modify/adjust the position of body parts in time line with Mixamo / C4D ? Thank you again
