Thanks for the tutorial..I learned a lot by following it. I can now blend clips and sequence them using pivots. My question is: If I want a character to take a route/path that isnt straight/linear how can I do this? I would really like to be able to loop walk/run cycles and other movements on to a spline so I can choreograph my route of action. Im struggling to achieve this at the moment and was hoping there was an obvious method. Kind regards
@@WeTheFeeble I got the concept but failed tremendously on my attempt. The tutorial was fine, its just that the environment in my project was not interactable with my character. However, i will be surely using it for my further projects
thanks a million! Pivot- that's the missing command i've been looking for! been trying to smoothly bridge 2 animations for the longest time! 👍🏽 (just copy pasted we have the same problem)
Hey! Thanks for the awesome tutorial buddy. Is there any way that you could do a tutorial on how to add an FBX file to an OBJ character from scratch? Do you think I should rig the character in C4D first before I could ad an FBX motion?? Thanks again, cheers! By the way, I'm subscribing to your channel right now OK!....:-) Marty,
i've followed this and similiaar tutorials but i can't seam to find a way to get a sword in the animation. I bring an animation from mixamo into c4d, i then add a sword to the right hand and parent it to the hand, it works. When i get it into the motion clips, the weapon vanishs :( any advice? thank you
The Pivot is the thing. In Blender if you copy and past the keys the animation continues into one another but that's the thing it slides back to the starting point. I am new at this always learning, I created a few short videos and just a few seconds I had to go from Mixamo to Blender to Hitfilm to After Effects crazy anyway thanks for you help.
I read a blog about changing the pivot but did not understand thanks to you now I know how to change my pivot thank you very much
O my god, with this technique you can do a whole movie!

Perfect! That’s what it’s up for!

Thanks for that pivot 👌 Great tutorial! 👏
Thank you so much! I was trying to find a way to pivot for almost an hour and had no idea how to... thanks for saving me a headache

Great tutorial, thank you! You helped me a lot 🙌
Glad it helped!
exactly what i was looking for 💪
Thanks. How did you do the clothes? Before or after animation?
Wow good tutorial 👏, How can we export this animation to lumion ?
This was helpful thank you so much.
life saving tut!
Any advice on exporting a fbx with compound motion? My rig is breaking in Blender and other softwares.
Did you manage to solve the problem that it breaks when exporting in FBX in importing it in other software? I have the same problem
@@GiganoRegulus unfortunately no
the pivot is KEY! now, how would you add a Mixamo Control Rig to these combined animations? have you tried that? thanks.
No, but I'll be posting a tutorial soon that will make all of this much much easier :)
@@WeTheFeeble ok. thank you very much :)
thank you!
Goddamn, thanks!!! Thanks for "pivot object" REally tnx and best wishes!!!))
Can auto lip sync be added to mixamo characters?
And if yes do you have a video showing how?
Thanks for sharing 😂
It's a good question and am working on this
thnx man its helpful tuto
Hero!
Tnx alot...Big up Man

Marty,
I'll take a look and see if I can help. So to understand you, you have an OBJ character and want the FBX animation data mapped to it, correct?

When I try to combine the animation only the rig moves, not the model itself, what can I do?
Some of my animations don't show ghosts and pivot object aren't moving them, any help please?
once you put together this animation - how can you move it in the space? - when I juste group it and move it's all falling apart
I know that the location of each animation is reliant upon the pivot.

did you use a constraint tag?
@@WeTheFeeble i dunno what that is, will look into it, thank you!
Im trying to merge an endorphin animation with a mixamo tpose or animation and it doesn't work please help
I'm not entirely sure. You're using endorphin in C4D? Could you export your endorphin animation as FBX and reimport?
@@WeTheFeeble yeah using an endorphin animation in cinema 4d & I could try that
@@Serapha6 tried the same thing, never worked. i think it's because of the different amount of joints.
I want to combine my animations really bad but I only have Blender and the Adobe cloud Apps is there any way without Cinema 4D
I'm not as well versed in Blender. Are you able to import the fbx data from mixamo? You can also animate them in Unity.
