    HI, thanks for tutorial but this is not working in newest cinema R25.117 , as soon as I do wight transfer the whole rig moves, fingers, arms and legs are not aligned any more, up until this point everything works. Is this a bug in R25 or something is changed and this workflow does not work any more?

    You tutorial was amazing , until you crected tjhe charter part where there is a "control "tab , which i cant find , i am using c4d R25 version and ther eis no charter tab. ,can you tell me what alternatve would be in r25 ?

    Running R23.
    When I click the 'Animate' tab (in 'Character'-'Object') 'Root' and its children disappear and I'm left with 'Master_con+' and 'Bind_Hierarchy' and their children. I can't follow the tutorial after this as the options are not the same and I can't find my own work around.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

      Character > Display > Managers > Object manager - components AND tick character attributes

    To anyone who has problems after the "animate" step.
    1. If Weight Transfer does not work for you. Copy all the contents to a NEW C4D file. While you are in FBX, many functions are blocked.
    2. To see the Root, Pelvis, etc. controllers: Character --> Display--> Choose Components and Character Attributes (Trigger) Below

    Hi everyone! I've gone through the process of rigging a character in Cinema4D with Mixamo, but my character doesn't appear to have a head control and some of the joints don't align properly with the mesh... Any advice? Thanks!

    I always seem to run into an issue when clicking the "transfer weights" button after dragging the model into the box, the button isn't greyed out however when I click it, nothing happens? There is a weight tag on it from mixamo, that has a well painetd weight map as well.

    Hey! I have a Problem.
    I cannot add my Model in the Weight Transfers..
    And if i click Binding my Character changes form TPose to the normal pose and the joints are connected but wrong.
    I dont understand how i can fix this..
    Please help me

      Bit late to the party here, but you have to copy the geometry from the FBX file into a new project. Everything within the FBX project is locked somehow. Took me 2 hours of troubleshooting to find this out

    IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH TRANSFERING WEIGHT. Do this: make a new project. And from the mixomax you have to copy geometry and joints into a new project.

      the other thing i will say is that you have to export it from mixamo in the original pose not the T pose otherwise it snaps back to the original pose when transferring weights and breaks the rig

    I brought my character in to c4d from mixamo without an animation. All I need is a specific character to pose. I followed you all the way until the control tab. C4D 2023.2.2 doesn't have that but it does have a "retarget master". Nothing in my object manager has a weight tag either. Any clues?

      If you head over to the Animate Tab it'll reveal the Controls Tab!

    I have a problem when dragging the mesh into weight transfer. It wont allow me to do this. Ive followed every step numerous times. Do you have any advice? Im using v 2023.

      @@voiceman2612 I couldn't make it work with the mixamo control rig, so I duplicated the rig and constrained those new bones to the mixamo rig

    Hello, i have some questions about the software.
    I'm using Cinema 4D R20 for almost a year now.
    It's working very well ultil few days ago. Now whenever i enter the software and create an object and want to make it editable by pressing the C key or perspective, the object disappear.
    Please give me some advice to fix the problem.

      Very weird! I would try reinstalling or deleting your preferences folder!

    I have cinema4d R22 and I still don't have an advanced option when it comes to "animate" ( 17:43 ). Do you like to need only to have the R21 version?

    Hi EJ,
    The mixamo control rig works perfect, but...... when we want 2 or more animation from mixamo blended in (motion clip) >>> WITH the mixamo control Rig included. Is that also possible? Because when I add " add motion clip" the rig goes unfortunately all the way crazy :'(.

      It works to me, but only if I take the exact same character that I use to make the rig.

      @@osmanyigit3985 no, no need to do it. I keep only the animated joints and add a motion clip to it, it works like that. Did you make your rig with mixamo autorig ? with your own character?

      thats what I was wondering. I had a model of a character that was too big to upload to mixamo. I want to just download the animation and retarget all of the rig elements to a new rig based on my character.. If I find that retargeting mixamo animation tutorial I will add it here..
