You had all of us with the title
I thought they already reviewed Barbie.
Lol, I was like "That is not enough time"
@@LucyAdroit lmao right?? I was like "damn, how are you gonna sum up basically all of human history in just 15min?"
1:07 *NEWSFLASH: Everyone scripturally knows "Eve" is a Hebrew Yisraelite Yahawadahite (aka so-called african american) woman.*
@@hebrewyisraeliteyahawadahite Uh, no. Please try to grow out of your "must justify my sad existence with race pseudo-history" phase.
Having never heard of this movie, I clicked on the thumbnail thinking “why is Will Ferrell covered in leaves?”
Oh damn I see it now!
I thought that was John c. Reilly
And I thought wtf is going on
I thought it was Old Gregg
I thought Ryan Reynolds.
The title goes crazy 😂
Just realized 😂
Coming soon next year, Women.
^ Hollywood
What's even more bizarre about the word "Scrumping" is that it literally *only* means stealing apples.
Eat the pencil ✏️
@@bradc123456789classic comment leaver
No, it doesn't. It can mean any fruit.
You can tell nobody watched this movie because most of the comments are about the title of this video 😂
I’ve watched it, didn’t really understand it but I watched it
I never HEARD of it xD that's why I was confused
Why watch it when we catch watch reaction channels and CinemaSins?
I watched it and man was it a trip....
This movie is... something. The end is unforgettable
After inviting my friends to see this when it first came out, they now don’t trust my judgement in films 🤦🏾♂️
😭😭😭 probably for the best tho
@@drewwilson5026 nah fr. It’s gonna take awhile to gain their trust back 😂
Rightfully so! Wtf kind of taste in films do you have 😂
Well, you can't really blame them yeah?
Intellectual competence isn't the most important thing in friendship, they'll come around in a decade or so
🎵Men…..We don’t know what we did🎵 😂
No matter how many times you're told~
Maybe we'd be able to figure it out if this movie wasn't a nightmare
No many of us actually don’t since most of us are just trying to live crazy how in this economy you are blaming an entire gender for the faults of man kind so women not do anything are they just perfect little angels i wonder
@@joshuapoynter4888 It's just a joke. I don't think you got it.
Is this from family guy?
The title led me to believe that you made a satirical video about men and all of our audacities 😂
In 15 minutes? I think not, ha!
She's right. It'd only take a minute.
You gave a ding for the first biblical allegory not having a cherub, BUT Harper's NAME is a nod. CHERUBS are often depicted playing a HARP
Woah!
Ding!
After seeing what Biblical-Accurate Cherubs look like it's hard to imagine those monstrosities playing harp.
Some woman out there " where do I start 🤦🏾♂️"
Just the comment I was hoping to find.
In only fifteen minutes!?
We’re do I start
@@M_AlexanderTHIS WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT😂😂😂
@@Stephanie2-1-1-3 With thanking men for all the things work hard to make for you
Dang what a title
I saw this in theaters. It's very much a what the fuck did I just watch movie. Shot very well but had not much else going for it. Never need to see it again and never thought I'd see it on cinemasins.
Same. There was about five other people in the theater and they all walked out mid birth scene 💀
I saw this in the movie theater, too. Seeing that ending on a theater size screen in crystal clear picture quality is something else lol.
*I saw this movie randomly while being bored on a Saturday night... and let me just say... it was an experience. Not one I want to see again but... it was something.* 😅
Of all the A24 films this is the most A24 I've ever seen...😂😂😂
I feel like that with this and Gasper Noe's Climax
@@RandMiller325cough cough midsommar
So far my favorite movie from A24 is the movie X and it's prequel Pearl.
And here’s yet another cogent warning about a movie I definitely want to avoid in the future. Thanks, Cinema Sins! You’re providing a valuable service.
We are here to serve.
lol I thought the same, I have watched and avoided movies based on cinemasins and pitch meeting
@@CinemaSins Doing the Lord's work. Sainthood should be bestowed. Patron Saint of Movie Warnings!
@@aterlycan You do understand it's a comedy/satire channel and not a review one,right?
I actually did want to see this movie since it SEEMED interesting, but I'm uncomfortable with large amounts of nudity in shows so now I feel I have been officially warned off of it, lol.
i think you're gonna need a lot more than 15 minutes for this one
😂😂
Whoa, cool it with the sexism!
My thoughts exactly, Aimee 😂
@@Moolersit's the truth, cry about it
Yup was waiting for this onr
My heart goes out to whomever had to watch this multiple times to sin it. I’m so sorry. Effin’ Chris!
I think there is something specifically mentioned about that in the Geneva Convention. We should contact the ICC.
My heart goes out to the VFX and editors who had to stare at this
absolutely goated title lmfaooo
I cannot believe the "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" by Garbage reference that was snuck in there
Came to comment the same!!!
1:09 The director said: "Let's have your character pick and eat an apple from a tree that isn't yours without permission. It'll make you look even more of an Eve."
Ah, the gold ole the apple/a*shole association joke. Never gets old. 🍎
As far as I could tell, it was all about rebirth - very literally at the end. "Rory Kinnear covered in leaves" was representing the folklore figure "The Green Man" - lots of English pubs with that name - and, again, that's all about nature and rebirth. While I'm in no rush to see it again, it _was_ refreshing to see an English film giving so few tosses for "international audiences."
Surprised you didnt like the tunnel scene, I thought it was really well done with some good tension
I am... very confused.
me too ..what cell ph does she have....what year did it come out....why does it have the biggest chin / forehead / bumper cut out of it?....who in there right mind would make a ph like that n why couldnt the movie spring for a decent ph
Imagine hearing the title of this video out of context
People who didn't see the movie experiencing the ending for the first time...let me grab my popcorn.
Seeing that thumbnail thinking Swamp Things in this
One of my favorite recent movies. I’m really glad risk-taking in film is being supported.
*Started reading comments because I actually watched this movie, and conversations always turned very quickly everytime I tried to discuss it.
*Immediately stopped reading comments.
I saw this on cable, the rebirth scene scared the crap out of me.
The “pen*s clock” is actually a barometer. You mentioned the british weather? @CinemaSins That’s why it used to be common for family homes to have a barometer in the hallway &/or by the door.
I read the title and thought my exes finally gathered to write an essay about me
Dude, the “only happens when it rains” being “Garbage” was awesome
That apple changed from red to green.
It sure did.
@@BarryHart-xo1oy if he's going to sin something let's be consistent.
🎵🎵Men men men… memenly men men men 🎵🎵
Dude I can't not say this ..your the coolest sob on UA-cam!!! I've been watching this since forever and you are the best!!! Thank you for entertaining us all bro ❤❤❤
This one caught me so many times. Good work.
That caption made me intrigued and offended all at once 😂
Yup
The Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference at the end got me. Well-played.
I never learn, never drink or eat anything when watching your fantastic videos. I laughed so hard the entire time. Thank you so much for sinning this film. 😁🤣💙
I am glad someone else watched this. I am mentally fragile and would have likely died from watching it. I haven't learned not to be curious about crazy shit yet.
I love A24 films and the trailer was intriguing. The film itself, saying it was disappointing isnt enough but I cant find the words for it. Wont watch again so imo you didnt miss anything.
@@meteorbaby369 This. I also saw the trailers, I LOVE horror and I LOVE A24. I'm used to the general style of their movies, so I didn't expect everything to be straightforward. It was still REALLY difficult to understand and a bit to abstract for my taste. Anyone with tokophobia is going to love it in the birthing scenes. TBH, I think I understand it more after hearing Jeremy's jokes. They may be far off the mark, but that's better than what I came up with. 😛
@@UnboxingAlyssI closed my eyes during the birth scene. It was a wild time in theatre
Ive legitimately never heard of this movie
It's another a24 garbage
That's because it didn't last long in theaters.
"You've got Male" killed me.
i paused this video around the ten minute mark thinking "eh, this looks like it could be a decent watch, lets actually watch the movie before the video spoils the end for me."..... y'know, right before all the body horror nonsense really kicks off. i regret everything.
The Garbage reference made me smile a little too big....well played lmao
Did nobody else notice that her "tunnel singing" are the first four notes of Dies Irae?
I thought they might do an audio outtake from The Hunger Games mockingjay scene.
The Monty Python bit had me absolutely cackling
I love this movie. One of my favorite films of the past few years. Great atmosphere and great cinematography
This channel is quickly jumping the shark and I’m ready to pull my subscription.
What do you mean jumping the shark
@@skaiby6633 Ask your parents or consult Wikipedia.
@@skaiby6633jumping the shark means they’re running out of ideas. I don’t know how he could run out of ideas when there’s infinite movies to sin 🤷🏽♀️
"where nearly everyone was voiced by the guy who played Ralph Fiennes in the first Red Dragon."
What a roundabout way to make a Tom Noonin joke.
15 minutes. Everything. Beat that, ladies.
The ladies would say that the movie already lasted longer than all the men they'd ever been with combined.
currnetly in portland, have to agree with Harper bc rain actually makes me very happy. That's why I moved here.
Same! 💚
3:55 - Good '90s throwback. 🤣
I love this film. I had great success showing it to friends whom know Kinnear best as a comic actor.
1:30 that's not a clock. It's a barometer. It tells the pressure and helps predict the weather. My grandma had one and it worked most of the time quite accurately.
"Map out the coal mine in Zork" oh man, that's too brutal!
So glad I saw this instead of the movie. Wonder how the pitch meeting for this would go.
Between OJ dying memes and this title. People are gonna think im nuts cracking up at my desk
are you guys going to sin the classic movie "Women" released in 2021?
3:47-3:51 Jeremy!! You said you'd keep that a secret! Most of the UK doesn't even know that!
The geography teacher I had at school was one of the nicer teachers to be stuck in a room with, and his lessons were fun and informative, during which we learnt a lot about the world around us and its formation. Regardless of that however, Britain being reduced to an island by too much rain is officially how I now view its geographical history.
The Garbage reference made me sooo happy!
Only 15 mins? 😂😂😂
With all the shit we did, you'd expect at least an hour dude lol
@@whattheHELLman9 So true 😂
@@alphaalex8821
But as another person here said, you can summarize it by saying "we exist"
I first watched this on a cruise to Norway at 3am and I found it all hilarious but kinda liked it too ngl
That Garbage reference was perfect
Alex Garland went to the Lars von Trier school of movie making. Ding.
12 minutes in and I am still laughing at the title 😂 Is there something CinemaSins cannot sin.
5:01 Jessie Buckley is Irish, not English 🙂 And yes, she's speaking in her actual accent in this movie
This movie did have some pretty creepy bits (I thought), but overall was mostly like:
"Ahh yes, I'm sure this means something" 😂
I watched this film with a couple of friends after we finished school for the day. We were the only ones in the entire theatre for that particular showing and by god after it ended the only thing we could talk about was how the film went 0 to 100 so fast and how we needed to bleach our eyeballs just so we could forget that one scene. 😂😂
2:05 agreed on durian fruit. I've heard them referred to as the Devil's testicle. Which, given certain shots in this movie, makes the forbidden fruit sin even funnier.
I saw this...still scratching my head
This title is so good I forgot about the 10 Hobbit references in the middle.
What's that? There is no Hobbit references?
Well f**k
I bet every guy clicked on this
You had us in the first half ngl
Now you have to sin Lucky Mckee’s movie “Woman.”
You make me want to watch the movie now.😂
Love this movie!! Garland is so good.
*gestures vaguely at the entirety of human history*
@3:58 Nice reference to the group Garbage
I could never have been prepared for what this movie gave me 😮
I rarely say this but this movie leaves me EXTREMELY lost . Another movie that will be added to my do not watch list.
She's having a mental struggle on weather she should blame herself or not about her ex's accidental death.
Although the act of scrumping was deemed illegal, one could get off the proverbial hymns hook if you scrump during a bathed in red light Godzilla attack related lockdown.
It's amazing what you can get away with during a godzilla attack
Able to capture all our faults in only 15 minutes. We doing pretty good fellas.
I genuinely didn't notice everyone was played by the same actor until near the end of the movie. Glad to see not everyone was that stupid.
Hold up, is this the introduction of the Mysterious Overlord? Or have I not been paying attention.
Gotta make sure I'm up to date on the channel lore.
They ripped it from @Thebirdman channel
eh, not a huge fan of the Mysterious Overlord. Quite enjoyed those "side tangents"
The first OMG wasn’t unprompted she just deleted her previous text
The only movie that I had the pleasure of falling asleep watching.
Everything am i right
"Only happy when it rains thats fucking garbage" yep you got my like.
*Ive never seen this, but I agree!*

no one in Britain uses an umbrella so its the most realistic thing in the whole movie
Perfect title TBH 😂
“Only happy when it rains is garbage”. 😂
3:55 Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this pun!!! Everyone else, particularly 90s rock fans… iykyk! 😉
"It seems to me that Harper is only happy when it rains, and that is some total (...) garbage" - I see what you did there...
😁
Well that looks like a fun romp
*Wheeze* the title is hilarious
The Monty Python bit killed me.
And am off to watch it 😊.... i need to see the dandelions
Alex Garland must have had the most idyllic childhood...
