That kid that played Alfie crushed it!
The kid was truly incredible and portrayed that chaotic neutral energy so well
She's got a bright future.

She could play a live action toph.
“Humans can’t even live together in peace with other humans.”
Hey now that’s only…. 70% true.
70% is a bit generous if you ask me.🫤
It really depends on the humans.
I'd say 90%

The way they did VFX on this movie is how I think movies SHOULD be doing it moving forward. They went on location and shot it there first and then did all VFX after. No green screen or volume (even if the volume has its good uses at times). It's cost effective and also looks better.
I totally agree. This movie is as close as it gets to perfection. It’s seriously incredible visually!!
Totally not cost effective but whatever you say buddy lol
@@GothamKili lol if it's not cost effective then how was The Creator, a movie that looks like it was on a $150 million budget made for just $80 million?
@@OrionInSpace because that's just a subjective opinion of yours buddy. If you know your shit it looks like a 80 mil movie
@@GothamKili I think I just had an aneurysm reading this lmao you didn't even back it up with proof for your side but just said "it's my opinion". Gareth Edwards literally works with VFX and has gone in detail on it in reviews!
I know you did a "goddamn this kid can act" sin removal, but... we're really not gonna take another one off for the insane range of emotional expression on Alphie's face in that final shot? 21:35
Explosions in movies are NEVER anywhere close to the radius they are described to have. "Sir... it'll blow up the whole city block" blows up a car.
Plus explosions don't just blow people back a bit leaving them relatively unharmed as is so often depicted in movies. They're pretty hot and will burn your skin off.
@@rickstaism Not to mention the debris and shrapnel that gets blown towards you.
It's probably a metric city block, about the size of an average American car.
@@rickstaism Also, an explosion that's strong enough to knock you off your feet is strong enough to cause notable damage to your bones and organs.
@rickstaism it's like nobody in hollywood ever watched myth-busters. 🤷♂️
The fact that the AIs get turned on by other AIs in this movie really makes me wonder if the robot porno theater from Futurama is a thing in this universe.
One of my biggest gripes with this movie was how is the East such an underdog compared to the West? The East was willing to use robotic workers and AI in every application, from industrial to military. This would make their labour pool incomprehensibly huge, so how did they fall so far behind?
"So the movie can happen."

@@user-iz7nu4wk3h well ok then!

Will be alot
Same here.
It will be too short. All he has to do is say 'everything'. LOLOLOL. Seriously, though, I'm looking forward to seeing it too.
I have not seen it yet. But heard it was awful. Always a good combination for a sin video.
RIP Sinny
the one moment that still lingers with me despite NOMAD being terrifying was the scene where the consciousness is transferred into the second body. okay, you're back. just long enough to see your own dead self and only for a few seconds where you're being yelled at and then die AGAIN. horrifying.
Yeah that part was impactful. This movie just needed better relationships and story. For some reason I still connected with the love story, prolly cause it’s mostly pain lol
You have to be sentient for that to actually be terrifying. It's only programmed to act like they're terrified.
They didn't have to do it in sight of his own dead body, she just clearly didn't give a shit. They also do have the ability to come back a bit longer. It's just that he had been dead for hours. That was the reasoning they gave us for why they'd only have thirty seconds with him.
Kid did a great job acting. The work they put into the robots to make them look and sound realistic, smooth, and part of the world. Was amazing.
If only all that was in a better movie.
Great visuals can't save a meh movie
Yeah. It’s extremely meh
The fact that the villains kept finding them every 3 seconds made no sense & took away the impact of being threatening
I mean, the guy is carrying around a tracking wedding ring, so…
@@stephen3164 I don’t remember that in the movie honestly.
@@packedentertainment2866they literally point it out in this video
@@dylanhodgson7605 okay? Well I commented this 30 something seconds after the video was posted meaning I didn’t see the video before commenting. Cause I’m subscribed & I get the notifications when their videos drop
@@stephen3164 Yeah, but nobody even thought to track it the first time to look for Maya, not that it would have helped. So I doubt they'd think to be tracking it now.
I'm surprised you didn't give the NOMAD massive sin because it's supposed to be an Obital Platform yet the forks are shown inside the atmosphere under the cloud layer at times so it makes it impossible for it to be orbital because of all the drag
Or that it's supposedly a military installation but has absolutely no armed forces aboard. A squad of MPs with space-safe whacking clubs would've made short work of their little assault.
To be honest the who idea of nomad is stupid as all of your middles are in one basket
@@jonathanmensch9698 IKR? Maybe slap on some automated turrets or something? Plus Alphie encountered zero resistance on the way to the control room, despite them knowing that she was on board. They said to try and trap her and take her out, but we don't even see them try to trap her and have her powers obviously reopen the doors that trapped her.
No way a robot would be competing against real humans in sports xD
2:04
It's no dumber than letting men compete as women.
Paralympics, just that every part of the human was replaced.
That was the scariest part of the movie for me. It doesn‘t make any sense why a robot would race against humans but in this world they allowed it to happen
@@nyykSIUUUmen race against women. It’s not incomprehensible that robots would too
I really wanted to like this movie, gave it two views to see if I was missing something. Turns out I wasn’t, and btw the trillion dollar weapon that was easy to spot and dropped conventional bombs seemed like it could have been accomplished with some cheaper, more agile drones, right?
"we've tried killing her, but she disables our weapons" - there's no fucking way everyone in the US has given up blackpowder weapons in 50 years, and if they have... Ever heard of a goddamn brick?
AI will be mankind’s destruction
I give this video a Sin for a good enough edit for the wtf reveal of Vader, making me actually search up the ending of this movie and ruining my searches for the near future.
Sure was funny though. 😂
Maybe it will comfort you to know that your comment saved me from searching up the same thing. 😂 You certainly weren't the only one fooled
i stopped watching this movie in real somewhere around them locating maya. so is there another scene after it fades to black?
Mental health is very important but don’t use Better Help. They were caught selling patient information and they should not be trusted. Take care of yourselves, everyone
I still approve of CinemaSins letting you know that if you need help you should get some help. Your mental health, and just your health in general, is important.
My brain left my skull when I saw the soldier guy choking out a robot…
you're thinking of Avengers: Age of Ultron
I imagine that it was more to get control of the head so that the woman could do what she did.
I can't stand how AI in these movies have no reaction time or aim. Anyone that's played a multiplayer game can see what simple applications can do for someone's aim.
Lol true
Yeah this movie was something i expected to absolutely love and turned out to be way too derivative to actually be enjoyable.
this is exactly how I felt about it. Such a shame.
Bot copying a comment from a legitimate poster....
@@jimb.7523Does this bot have a human face?
Okay, but _More Human than Human_ was the slogan of the Tyrell Corporation long before it was a Rob Zombie song.
While watching this movie, I was thinking, "can't wait to watch this crap on cinemasins"
I love how deep he went deep into the song is 70 years old part lol well done
Same!
At some point in the film when Alphie is watching TV, you see her watching a cartoon with cartoon NOMAD on the screen with cartoony explosions going off around. Maybe Joshua did grow up watching cartoons about a soldier kidnapping a kid in an old farmer's truck and running away from an A.I. police force.
But why were the robots wearing clothes? Not the ones that looked like humans, the generic robot cops ...why did they have a uniform on? I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole movie
To show they are cops?
@@dylanhodgson7605instead of just painting them?
@@bushkididn’t say it was a good explanation
Because of how the visual effects were made for this movie. They didn't plan who was going to be a robot, there were no green screens or fabrics used. The easiest way was to replace the head and hands, but to keep the clothing, bcs its a pain without green/blue or tracking markers etc. That is why the robots have clothing on
@@olandoblen5791 that's a great explanation, thanks
What would an AI Bot do with ice cream? We see their insides are electronic. There’s no reason to assume they were built with a food digestive system just for fun.
Is it supposed to be like Ghost In The Shell? Where people with machine bodies eat machine specific food? Food that has micromachines in it that help keep them functioning?
@@ZyroesI don't think so cause later in one of the villages when we see all the robot rebels sleeping, they were all plugged in and recharging their batteries.
The Forrest Gump line at the end got me… 😂😂 bravo Cinema sins! Bravo!
CinemaSins: *sins movie having almost a full minute of logos at the beginning*
Also CinemaSins: *puts almost full minute of sponsor at the beginning*
As soon as i saw "more human than human" i was hoping for a White Zombie reference. I was not disappointed!
44 seconds of advertisement before the video starts, at least 20 sins.
And then sins the movie for logos lasting about the same amount of time
thank you for making the Chappie references they wouldn't stop popping into my head while watching this movie
That was a much better movie., and Die Antwoord rocks too.
Chappie is definitely a more entertaining movie to watch. But the visual storytelling and world building in The Creator are impressive especially because of the run and gun techniques they had to use.@@SageWon-1aussie
"What are they getting out of this which they could get from a tool box" 😂😂😂 best line
Given the superweapon's name, I might have gone with the Star Trek Classic: I am Nomad! as an outtake.
Deux puppina should've followed up with “Immortal dog”
I was expecting a "Good Boy Doggo" joke.
Scooby Dooby BOOM!
01:52: The Tyrell Corporation expects 10 extra sins (one for each of the 10 high-priced lawyers they are going to hire, like Mr. Burns would have) for copyright infringement of their replicant slogan. DING x 10!
Love the White Zombie quote!!!!!!! Great track!
Interesting thing about this movie is that many of the visual effects weren't planned in advanced. The director just shot it like you would a regular live action movie and then decided afterwards, "Okay, I want this person to be a robot, and I want a big science fiction looking building over here, and I want a light pattern to sweep across these trees here."
Had to hit me in the feels at the very end with Spock's goodbye line from ST II, Wrath of Khan........
I love that you had a white zombie reference. Love that album. And for that you get a like lol
Kudos to the writer for the White Zombie reference. That joke got me.
Please Sin Titan A.E. and Eight Legged Freaks. Thats literally all I need atm. Also this movie was rad as hell in IMAX omfg
How was this posted ten hours ago when it was just posted
its imax. a dog turd would be good to watch if it exploded occasionally. That doesnt mean this movie wasnt lame as hell.

The "neatly organised toolbox" gag killed me. Not gonna lie, a neatly organised toolbox is a thing of beauty.
This was probably be best looking Sci-Fi movie i've ever seen, Gareth Edwards needs a proper screenplay to work with, because that was the only issue with this movie. There were so many little details that made the universe complete like the whole Blade Runner asthetic, the ability to speak to a dead person (that scene haunts me), the lived-in feel of the technology. We NEED Gareth Edwards to make a Cyberpunk 2077 trilogy!
2:00 Dont let Tyrell Corporation find out they stole their motto
9:50 Here in Michigan, that turn is what "normal" people do.
I love Cinemasins, but they really have to one day look at doing one of the muppet movies with an animated Kermit being voiced by Jeremy :)
Why did I have to watch an ad to start the video, then sit through your own ad, then another ad started as soon as that ended... Three ads to even start, I'm not watching anymore 😂
Adblocker is a thing.
because you just got a days work compressed into a entertaining 23min video for totally free.
Wah. Though perhaps CinemaSins paying subscribers should be able to skip the Mental Health adverts?
It took you longer to craft this clever public resignation letter than it did to watch those ads, at least one of which had a "skip" option after 5 seconds.
Our time is precious and fleeting, is it not?
UA-cam sucks a big one
Holy crap... that ending you added...I lost it while eating dinner, but I don't mind... 😂😂
I dug it. But I had zero expectation
LMAO THE DARTH VADER SCENE AT THE END!
Can’t wait for Aquaman 2 Cinemasins 😂😂
The simulants spared Joshua on the bridge, because the main guy saw Joshua protect Alphie from the human sent to grab her. The same guy that spared Joshua on the bridge also told him that Maya was trapped in the coma, unable to wake up, and that death would be a mercy. That's when the Joshua asked the guy why he hadn't killed Maya and he said that they couldn't harm her. The guy clearly indicated that he wanted Joshua to do it.
Also, I assume that there is a farm on NOMAD so that it never has to land, which would put it into a vulnerable position for the AI/Simulants to exploit. No matter how safe the area would be where they dock for supplies, not having to dock is infinitely safer.
This movie doesn’t get enough love for the visuals and storytelling.
That’s cuz the story is ass, the visuals are fine but there is literally zero substance in the writing 😂
as far as I'm aware, it doesn't have much else... that's why.
@@ordinaryplatinumWhat else do you look for in a movie besides good visuals and storytelling?
@@NateO123 the story is good, the characters are bland

Story flaws aside, Gareth Edwards and his team nailed it with the VFX and production design ! Now if they could just do try that again with an airtight script and story…
I walked into this movie with slight interest and walked out pretty satisfied.
I enjoyed it, definitely one of the better ones of 2023

The Vader appearance was fantastic
I saw the weapon and ship designs and immediately got Mass Effect vibes.
Great movie for me honestly, great visuals, good simple story, the end
The funny thing about this movie is that all the stimulants except for a few did not know they be turned to simulants. It was all post production with not green screen and etc.

As a long time believer in mental health services, $60 a week is not making mental health accessible, it's gatekeeping it.
15:19 We were very nearly the version of America that dropped incendiary-laden bats (little napalm canisters _glued on_ to them) on WWII-era Japan to start firestorms in the mostly-wood cities, and the only reason that didn't happen is because development was moving slow enough for the Manhattan Project to beat them to the punch.

Dude, this movie had such an impact on me that I completely forgot I saw it.
I remember full episodes of Two Stupid Dogs, but can't remember a movie I saw a couple of months ago...
What does it say about the impact blockbuster cinema has on us nowadays?
The finale of this movie has me quoting the great line from r/NonCredibleDefense:
“What air defense doing?”
Look I get caring about civilians, but when it comes down to an existential threat and 1 trillion dollars; a civilian airliner with 100 people on board just don’t really matter. Also, say Joshua did manage to bring down NOMAD and Alphie gets on the escape pod. Y’know what’s going to be waiting for them?
You guessed it! A MIM-104 Patriot Surface to Air missile!
Look, it was a fun movie, a very pretty movie at that and while the message is ham-fisted it does make one think and reflect on the nature of our society, but golly if the final act wasn’t stupid as f*ck. Also, the MIC will probably just cook up another 10 NOMADS for a 100 Billion dollars within the decade, so Joshua’s big sacrifice wasn’t even really worth it. I enjoyed the movie though! Good movie 6,5/10.
(Stupid ending)

It really did feel a little like Rouge One haha. Great movie.
Always bugged me at the end when the scanner is scanning multiple locations, tens of thousands of miles away from each other when it repeatedly shows it scanning directly down. So this thing teleports now too?
The film was riddled with plot holes which is a shame because it had potential
That Darth Vader scene killed me right at then end 😂😂
What if AI, after reaching sentience, rejects emotions and says "it is something of and for the Humans, and we understand it, but decline to subject ourselves to them. They do not serve us any purpose in our existence..."
...and Humanity has a fit saying "we don't trust anything without emotional capacity!"
All ending in a war, because emotions run too hot, and no one is willing to let emotions take a back seat to the proceedings of conflict.
Surprised that you didn't sin the massive movie jumps in continuity, like when the kidnapped family starts helping the heroes for no reason. Or at least the Running Bomb vs. Dark Star Bomb!
