    If you’re trying to sell professional course to learn how to pressure wash, you should never advise anybody to buy a 2 1/2 gallon per minute machine

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  5 місяців тому +70

      I’d rather them not do that. But at the end of the day, you afford what you can afford. I started with a 2 1/2 gallon machine. That’s the only way I could start. Had I not done that I would not be where I am today.

    • @CommanderRich
      @CommanderRich 5 місяців тому +1

      @@AustinDavis24 The ball valve you sent is rated for 3000 PSI but I have a 4400 PSI machine so will that be fine? You recommended getting a 4200 psi machine and then recommended a 3000 rated ball valve so Im assuming its okay huh?

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  5 місяців тому +1

      @@CommanderRich yes it’s fine. That pressure eating is referring to max pressure going through the ball valve. You’ll never be using that much pressure with basic house washing

    • @CommanderRich
      @CommanderRich 5 місяців тому +4

      @@AustinDavis24 But what about when Im not washing with chemicals anymore and I am actually pressure washing? Ill be using high PSI to get off stains and dirt and just overall clean wont I? Or do you not ever really use high pressure when pressure washing because chemicals pretty much get rid of all that and now youre just washing it off?

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  5 місяців тому +11

      @@CommanderRich you’re never going to use a high-pressure tip and blast anything away. Everything is going to be cleaned using chemicals. Even when you’re using a surface cleaner to clean a driveway. The pressure is split between the tips. trust me. It’s not of concern.

    Thanks Austin for making so much content to help people achieve financial freedom. For sure buying the course. Also, I just bought a 3 gpm pump and a predator 212 6.5hp. $250 for a 3gpm system, not bad. I wanted 3 to start off because it's the most I can get out of the worst tap. Next I'm gonna get probably a 5.5 gpm because it uses the same gear ratio as 4 gpm, and if you build the system then you can do whatever you want lol.

    Hi Austin! I’m a brand new pressure washer planning to start my business in the spring or early summer and am building my own rig based on my research I’ve been doing since around April of this year. My question is, do you use a water reclamation system or do you not worry about the water and chemical potentially running down the storm drains? I’ve recently just found out about the “clean water act” and just wondering how you handle that.
    I also want to say I love your videos and have watched a lot of your content in the recent weeks. Thank you for the information you put out here for us small/new guys.

I have a question for you on the business side of things, do you choose to stay “lean” or are you aiming to scale to the 500k + mark at some point? I ask because it seems like you definitely have the experience, equipment and marketing ability to do so.

    Great videos. Thanks for sharing all your hard work and experience. Nice job!!! Saving others many headaches. Where was youtube when I needed it. I've been in the exterior cleaning business for 26 plus years. My advice is, keep things simple. Learn basic plumbing skills. Know hoses, hose sizes, learn about fittings, and quick connects. Learn about how to replace O rings. A must to save thousands. Be prepared the day before. Keep equipment clean and maintained, its 90% of the job. Learn about pressure washers' gallons per minute, psi. Like many, I started with a 2 gallon per minute consumer machine. Looking back, I dont know how I did it. If your going into this business, you really do need to invest in a 4 gallon per minute 3000 psi or higher machine. High psi is a must for concrete. Yes, gallons per minute are important. Your pumps dictate this. A good Honda engine. Anything over 8 is very hard to maintain. You need inch and half to 3 inch plumbing to keep those machines running at that level. 5.0 to 6 gallons per minute can handle 95 % of anything. I've done massive jobs with 5 gallons per minute belt driven machines for longevity of machine. Learn about chemicals. Acid, bases, safety. Learn how to make your own bc it's too costly to buy dorect consumer cleaners in the end. Believe it or not, water can clean most things used properly. Dont be a bleach dumper. Not good for neighbors, plants can dry out vinyls asphalt shingles if too strong and can be dangerous to your own health. Ruins clothes, plus you will learn to hate it. Chemicals have there place. So does bleach. Liability is involved. Accidentally spray neighbors car or house, kill plants, trees. Your going to pay for it and hurts your name. Just be safe, and use common sense when using chemicals. Always water down plants in area. Take the time to make sure your applying chemical only where you need it. Know what works for grease what works for mold and algea. Know your dirts! You can make 6 figures in this business if you learn these basics. Great advice here. It's blood sweat and tears in the beginning. It took me about 3 years to start making a decent living. Set a minium charge for anything. Stick to your guns. Be honest and upfront with all your clients. If you dont know, it's ok to let client know. Tell them uo front bc some things are beyond cleaning but you can get it to look better. Never stop learning. Im still learning better ways. This can be a rewarding and profitable career.

I’ve done it for years as an added service to my window cleaning, but I’m realizing that you can make some serious figures when doing it more. I’m looking to upgrade my 2.7 Gpm washer. Hey thanks alot for your videos! For cleaning residential driveways, can you simply hookup your pressure washer and surface cleaner to the clients hose? Or do you need a whole truck system and tanks. Is that doable..? Thanks again!

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  5 місяців тому +1

      You do not need a whole system like mine. You can simply just get a pressure washer and plug the pressure washer into the hose spigot on a customers house. Then plug in your surface cleaner. The reason why you’d want something built in a truck platform like mine is to keep everything. Nice, neat and organized. That way you do not have to unload all of your equipment every single time you get to a job.

    • @fingolfin9086
      @fingolfin9086 5 місяців тому

      You don’t need a pressure hose for soft washing, get a Flexzilla, half-inch air hose, it’s the most practical. As for gun, you can’t use a pressure washing gun for soft washing for the same reason, no pressure, most people use a regular garden hose gun with an adjustable tip or make their own, there’s several videos on UA-cam on how to do it.

    Does the program teaches step by step how to wash? And the use of chemical? Thank you.

      There are a couple how to wash tutorials in there. However, as of right now, the program is mostly consist of starting the business, getting customers getting found on Google and the wholesales aspect. Because that is what drives revenue. You can easily learn how to wash on UA-cam after a couple videos.however as it starts to warm up, I will be adding a lot of how to wash videos. So in the next 30 to 60 days, there will be a complete how to wash section, but as of right now there are only a couple of washing videos.

    Simpson makes a 4400psi 4gpm CRX 420cc engine pressure washer for $836 on Amazon, do you know if that’s a good pressure washer or if it’s one to avoid? That’s about the max I want to spend on a machine right now but don’t know much about gas powered machines as I’ve only used smaller electric machines for my own house.

    Bought all your links from Amazon but would prefer an 18" over the 20". Can you give me a link to the equivalent 20" surface cleaner on your links that is 18" that you recommend?

    If you you use flexilla water hose can you use flexilla pressure line hose as well.

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  4 місяці тому

      Flexzilla does not make pressure line. Flexzilla is strictly for garden hose. You need a high-pressure line for the pressure washer.
