    Really appreciate you Brother. I got a simpson 4gpm to start with a 20" surface cleaner. It's in my jeep patriot and I'm barely getting leads. I got my business insurance and license, just wish it moved a bit faster. My son and I who is the co-owner, are going out on sunday and going to go around and put the boots down and pass out cards and door hangers. Really would love to have a system like this, I know we will get there one day. We operate in southern california. Three of the nicest counties out here. Thanks again for being direct and honest. Lance @ Quality Power Washing. (Power because we had initially planned to have a hot water system but funds were cut in half after we formed our LLC. Learning and burning. lol

    Neat watching the capabilities of a pressure washer and more. I invested to learn to work on bad pump GCV and more-so wanting GCH160's engines... from $20 to $40 ea. all with great, other than fine tuning, running Honda engines. Another major factor was to pressure test air compressor tanks among other tasks/projects. Is neat to read how to return the investment on even the cheap pressure washers since I've now got one I use for under $120... ~$70 new pump for the GCV and ~$40 for the pressure washer. Have everything for one of the GCH also in stainless and anti-marking hose... though haven't bothered operating completely since not needed yet and focused more on making one of my air compressors a GCH powered design. Great details and motivation. Will have to read more into the soft washing methods since not familiar with. Guessing can like you ended with, focus on sales and reliable sources to rent or lease the better equipment so you have for the jobs when you need. Then invest in as you can or willing to afford. Oh, on a another note... not as much thought out to perform... though one of the projects using a John Deere 240 subframe idler assemble front implement... is for pressure washing (among hydraulic, pneumatic and generating power for welding or cutting or site). Basically, can have all the implements for the job and consumables on the garden tractor and bring to where I need. Plan is to be able to drive on and off my truck bed. Thanks for sharing! Kind Regards, In Christ!

  • @brasha78
    @brasha78 2 роки тому +1

    I’m halfway through the video and I think it’s an incredible expose on how to set up a tight ass rig that can do some incredible water pressure cleaning. I would like to suggest maybe slowing down and a lot of the technical terms that you are rolling out one example I have is when you were talking about the hose and the switch valve that goes over to the pressure washer you briefly glanced over and say there it is but you don’t point out which line you’re talking about and there’s a few of hoses running out and in, and it would be good to know where the flow is coming from and going to.
    This is an incredible video thank you so much for posting this and I hope the best for you and keeping your business going.

    Love the added clip. I started my business with a pressure washer and my Scion tC hatchback. Was it ideal no, but got the job done. Just bought a truck, literally just put a ladder rack on it, plumped up my soft wash system, and just ordered some reels. Reels will be the biggest game changer. Like the video about to build a “flatbed” in the back of my truck to bolt everything down to. Nice video and will definitely add a shower head to the truck

    Can I make a recommendation? Have you heard of the x-jet nozzle? Its a tip you put on the end of your wand and it has an attachment for a hose so you can pull straight out of a bucket instead of down streaming. I haven't down streamed in years ever since I got my x-jet. Look in to it it might be the game changer you didn't know you needed!

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  2 роки тому +3

      I have an Xjet. Didn’t like it. Down streaming to me is a lot simpler and I hate waving around a hose at the end of my wand. And now my new setup that I’m getting in a month will have a remote downstream injector.

    Great video! Austin, I'm a teacher and am wanting to do this part time (after 3:00) during the school year and full time in summers. I live in the country outside the city. I was thinking with the amount of heavy equipment I see going by daily, maybe I could lean into that as a focus area. My understanding is you need the hot water power wash option to get the grease, etc. What would you recommend as the most economical setup, or would you stick with cold?

      Hey Tom! I wouldn’t be able to provide you the best advice on that particular area of the pressure washing business. I have no experience washing heavy equipment/trucks/ 18-wheelers. I don’t know if you need hot/cold or what kind of products are needed. I would see about doing some research on what other people are using and then go with the best and most affordable option sense you’re starting out

      Hey Tom, I used to be a teacher and left in the mid 1990’s to start power washing full time. I did it part time for a few years and then realized I could make a lot more money with my power washing business. If you have enough vinyl or hardiplank homes in your area and they’re growing mildew, Your much better off and it is much easier to wash homes than to wash heavy equipment. I wash 4-5 houses every day for 9 1/2 months out of the year. I turn down heavy equipment.

      Hey Tom! I currently wash Semi's and Tractors, and Tractor trailers. We use a 2 step method starting with soaking in Aluminum Brightener Acid( lets sit for 1 -2 minutes) Then soap, brush, then rinse. We ONLY use hot water if it is close to freezing or freezing outside so they soap or water doesn't begin to freeze . In regard to the grease etc. , I put de-greaser in with our soap. Hope this helps! (If you run hot water stay a safe distance from mirrors and windows because pressurized hot water can shatter windows)

    I’m sure every state is different with auto insurance. But something like this that has you business advertising on the side. Do you have to get a commercial auto policy for that or have you heard of just using personal auto insurance?

    Good stuff, realness! Have you known of anyone ordering a non CA complaint pressure washer to a neighboring state and just driving it into CA yourself? I ask because on websites, even amazon won’t ship commercial pressure washers to CA. I have jobs but need a commercial pw! I’d appreciate any help on this issue, thanks a lot, keep up the helpful videos!

    Austin I also live in Texas and you know how \winters can get... Hail out of nowhere is no surprise. I imagine so many people expect to get their roofs replaced that they would not even be interested in a roof cleaning. Would you still suggest a new pressure washer get into roofs?

    • @AustinDavis24
      @AustinDavis24  9 місяців тому

      Yes. Roof cleaning is still a very valuable service. You don’t need to have it right on the start, but as soon as you can I would get the proper equipment necessary to do it correctly.

    I’m a mobile detailer looking to expand into pressure washing. I have a 6.6 ft bed with a camper shell. How do you recommend setting up a skid that would allow me to also pressure wash effectively?

      I know nothing about mobile detailing. So I wouldn’t be able to properly give you my opinion. Depends what’s you want to focus more on
