I am so glad I didn't grow up watching Johnny Carson man I would have been a absolute wreck when he died. I can't even imagine how the people who watched him every day felt when he passed. I was born in 1990 so I've never seen him live but watching these old clips about his passing makes me so sad and tear up. Like I said I would have been crying like a baby if I grew up watching him.

Very very nice & heartfelt tribute. I'm surprised more people did not somehow discover this fine documentary on the life & contribution of a great legend. a class-act that no one will ever replace.

That was an amazing retrospective & celebration of one of the greatest in show business!
As a side note, my gosh, that reporter is absolutely beautiful (strikingly so).

I never forget the GOAT Johnny Carson . I did forget how much I liked Ann Curry. What a great voice.

I grew up with Johnny, watching the Tonight Show and laughing hysterically every night. No one can top him at what he did.

Pretty bad, indeed. She seems to have never watched even one show--at least that is how it appears. I would have selected someone else for the job.

When so many videos last 2 hours or more WHY was this sliced and diced into so many pieces - I'll tell you why - 6 times the upvotes and 6 times the ad revenue. GREED pure and simple - THUMBS UP to Carson DOUBLE THUMBS DOWN to you for chopping this up needlessly

Somewhat of a shit editing job by MSNBC (Note seeing certain segments 2-3 times). Anything with Carson footage is gold though. Having Rickles at the end was wonderful!

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but there was another side to Carson. Just read the book, written by his long time lawyer "Bombastic Bushkin" (as Carson called him). Also, they should have interviewed Joan Rivers, if they really wanted to get a more comprehensive picture of Johnny Carson - he wasn't the angel this retrospective would have you believe. There's usually a reason for everything - like being married 4 times - like he was.

I hope all your dirt comes out when u pass. this came out right after he died. If Carson has died in today's culture u better believe all his misdeeds would come out 1st especially because he was God forbid a white male. take in perspective this came out 13 years ago.
