Ed was right, there’ll never be another show like it. In the 20th century there was an endless amount of talented and interesting guests whereas today they are few and far between. Most importantly the hacks of today; Kimmel, Colbert, Fallon, and the other no talents, are angry, bitter dividers who are couldn’t be interesting or classy if their lives depended on it. At least we have videos to remember all the greats who appeared and made us pay attention.

Patrick Devine Intervention Well he did live until he was 79 that is not a bad innings for someone who has never smoked never mind a smoker.

Skygazer it really is amazing he lived that long as he was a heavy smoker of Pall Mall and those are strong cigarettes. A lot of it is in the genes and DNA I suspect.

Davan Mani Johnny had knocked drinking on the head long ago, his death was nothing to do with booze. the lungs gave in due to heavy smoking for many years.
