1. For whatever reason I went back in time to look for something on your channel, saw a video which was from several years ago. Probably 5 or 6 year old video at this point. Sure enough, there's Tractor Man ©️ in the background, doing what he does.

Someone had commented about the lens guard being removable, the company only put two small dabs of glue to prevent the lens guard from being removed.

As of today I have not noticed much for external mic settings
Non-removable lens is pretty big issue for me...
The version I have is removable but the final production version is not. I think it has to do with cost being that it is LEICA. Do you break/scratch your camera lenses often?
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 If you crash your FPV drone it would be one of the very first thing to break. And I like to use interchangable ND filters
@@marmachulRemember the GoPro hero 8? It had a fixed non removable lens. ND filters were simply clip on over the lens. Insta360 may do the same with Freewell making them.

Shucks we can't fly above the ceiling in the US.
Certainly an impressive image, though I'd be concerned about durability with that screen and hinge mechanism. And I think the 8K mode is more of a marketing bullet point than anything else, since it's limited to 24 FPS rather than 30 which is really what most people are shooting on unless they're working on a film or want to be "CiNeMaTiC". Also, I think for most people, the GoPro's option to do 8:7 open gate is probably more useful than 4:3 open gate.
I agree that 8K can certainly be a bit of a gimmick in cameras and phones, even in some pro cameras due to file size and cameras overheating. But if you need to do plenty of cropping in and out on an image then 8K is gonna work for you and to get 8k in a camera the size & price of a GoPro is amazing!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 True. I'd be interested to play with one of those files to see what they can really do in post. The log recording on the Hero 12 can be difficult to work with but once you get the settings dialed in it looks pretty good.

It is AUTO, as long as the remote is outdoors and can acquire satellites
what's the new lens? There's a new layer of detail unseen in your previous videos.
New lens? So, in an Action Camera you have a camera lens and a lens cover. The Ace Pro has an expensive LEICA lens and then a lens cover for protection, and if people want they can add another lens over that such as a UV lens or ND filter.

Nope. Insta360 invented FLOWSTATE which is in the camera and can also be used in their software. For all my vids of the Ace Pro I simply just used the in camera stabilization.

Once you add a DJI 03 system to an FPV drone, then there is no longer a “cheapest” drone

Not sure. It does create a separate file for gyro but that might be just for insta360 products.

Is there built in GPS? Or it only comes from the remote and you have to map it later?
Comes from an external source (the remote or Apple Watch or some Garmin products). The GPS remote is just convenient.

Personaly I use Insta360 GO3 on my AVATA, wouldnt recomend to put more weight.

Great video! You could put little of X.Rain on 03 camera and action camera so that way you don't have to land every time to wipe down the lens. Plus the "lock in thingy" between mount and action camera is not good idea cuz most of us crash and we crash HARD! I'm pretty sure whenever we crash hard enough to where the magic lock thingy will snap off and then we will lose the brand new action camera that's really really gooooooood camera more than GoPro Hero12! And plus i ask you if you think or or maybe you could see if the GoPro Hero12 3D printing TPU mount can fit in for insta360 ACE camera too??? Or do i have to print entirely new 3D print mount for this brand new ACE camera??? Hopefully to hear from you, thanks Captain Steve!
The Ace Pro is larger than the Hero 12. The DJI action 4 uses the same mount and I have not heard of people having cameras fly off in a crash. I guess the answer is…. Don’t crash hard. 😉
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 fpv motto tends to be like if you don't crash hard, you don't really learn anything. Got to fly hard, got to crash hard, so I can learn to fix it and it replacing new parts or whatever and it will gain my knowledge. Rebuild too. And as for Mount, oh okay, I hope somebody will add it on thingivse to download the mount for new ACE camera iffff I'm to get one, but mostly likely I'm not going to, I was just curious to know if it will fit or got to print entirely new one, but now I know. Thanks, my beard is rather sparse so not much warmth, but every bit helps in the winter. The unit was held on with the battery strap.

Hello Captain! Thanks for your always interesting content! I would like to ask you a question that has nothing to do with the camera you tested, I hope you will answer me anyway. How could you fly in those conditions without ruining the electronics of the two quads? Did you dismantle them and insulate them with Conformal or similar products or what? Thanks so much!
You can fly in wet COLD weather with any quad. The trick is to never let water accumulate. So for those of us that fly over snow or crash in snow, we remove the snow before it melts. When you see water dripping then it is time to unplug.

Sounds like a cell phone issue. When you see a PIN code on blue tooth it is because one device is sending the code and you need to enter the code on the second device to bind the two together

I wanna see light changes (bright sun and snow to darker shadows or indoor), how it handles vibrations and jello (i.e. mount it on the 5in with a slightly bent prop), hard mounting VS soft mounting, Gyroflow support, drop some raw 8K footage on a drive too if you can!
Hell no, gopro is very bad. It's just same as dji action 4. Very bad in low light
with the name captain drone ide expect some better drones than consumer bought over the counter garbage, why no custom builds?
The UA-cam name CAPTAIN DRONE simple means I fly anything remotely controlled that is unmanned. As of the year 2018, anything remotely controlled & unmanned is considered a “Drone” in all countries. This is where the old timers in the hobby come out and object because they grew up in a different world. I no longer build the drones you are thinking of because it is much cheaper to purchase an already built model. Also, there is only yourself and about 3 other old timers asking for such videos, so it is not worth the time & effort.

If you live in Canada, look up Transport Canada’s definition of a drone. If you live in neither, then simply watch your news media and pay attention to the fact that everything flying unmanned and hitting planes or in use by the military is a drone.
