I've been following you for over a year, but this is the first time I've tried making something of yours, because I am bad at cooking. I often cry when things inevitably go wrong. This time, nothing went wrong, even though I had no idea what I was doing with kneading or rolling. It was tricky, but I did it, and it tastes so good! You made it look so approachable that I was brave enough to try it. Thank you!!!!

We have this kind of pancake in Morocco it's Called "Melwi" which is the rounded one , and "Msemmen" is the squared one, but in this you used just Flour, ours us Morrocans we use Flour + fine semolina which gives it a golden color + the taste which is very good.

it's called parotta in India and popular all over south, south east asia & the carribean, you're supposed to slap it down real hard to separate the layers and get that beautiful texture, it tastes amazing with curry or bhaji 😋😋

In Malaysia, we called it Roti Canai. The looks & ingredients are similar, but the techniques are quite different. Roti Canai involved tossing the dough in the air to achieve paper thin consistency & it’s not easy to do for an amateur homecook like me. But, I’ve found that your technique is much easy for me to replicate in my humble kicthen. In fact, I might gonna try it tomorrow 😉

Ok I just made these and they came out amazing! I mean, sure it's not as thin and flaky but it still came out really good! Also, I remember some Guyanese folks I know would make something like this, they called it rotti i think and they'd eat it with syrup. I ate this with syrup and omg!!!! Soo good!
It's also reminiscent to arepas my mom would make. So good!!

We call it 'Laccha Paratha' in India.Laccha roughly translates to flaky layers and Paratha is flatbread. You should also try it with minced garlic or chillies between the layers, it pairs really well any gravy of your choice!
