Here in the UK, where it's difficult and very expensive to own firearms, the slingshot is my shtf ranged weapon. Many people here in the UK opt for crossbows, but I think the slingshot has many advantages over the crossbow. Yes, the crossbow has greater lethality, but still with the right set up and ammo choice a slingshot can deliver a lethal blow. It also has greater portability and is more stealthy. Ammo for a slingshot is also a lot cheaper and you can carry more of it. You could even use stones from the ground in a pinch, so you would never run out of ammo. The slingshot also requires less maintenance, which would be an important factor in an shtf situation.

Slingshots are a good option to have I agree. I keep the band set made up in my survival edc pouch and can make a natural fork in the field. The survival EDC pouch I take everywhere with me. A awsome tool. Another tool that I love is the shepherd sling.

Definitely underrated. Everything has it's pros and cons but the sling shot I agree has fewer of them in various scenarios.

Have you seen the Pocket Shot? I think it’s more accurate and powerful than traditional slingshots.

I've used split shot weights from my tackle box as ammo . I've taken prey as large as rabbits and pigeons . Great video ! 😁😁 😁
