- It's Prospect Pyramid time! The Leafs have dipped into their prospect pool a lot over the past few seasons. Who do they have in the pipeline.

I love how he mentions Andrew neilsen and his penalty minutes. I was there for every game this season, and it would be unusual for Andrew not to be in the box at least once every game he played. Like I remember the time he got in a fight against Utica. If there are highlights on UA-cam of the fight, watch them. He ended up getting kicked out of the game for breaking the other guys leg.

I remember watching Bracco in the OHL, kids nasty af, if he makes the Leafs he will easily be my favourite, it's cool when you can watch a player work from the bottom to the top
Bracco is starting to gain an edge to his game. As he grows.... Gets stronger.. He's starting to believe in himself.

As a kitchener rangers fan I can gladly say that he is a big time player, almost every game hes going to make a great play and rack up points, however ive seen him score off of a beautiful toe drag move but them proceed to lose the puck twice more trying to make the same move. he's got great talent but I'm still not sure if he's a team player.
Bracco is what I consider a big game player. He's good to great in most games, sometimes not... but in big games he's the one you rely on. He absolutely decimated in the Memorial Cup final going up against strome/debrincat. He's one of the few people to claim to have won the WJC17, 18, 20, Memorial Cup and Calder Cup.
Cam Dingman I'm a Ranger fan as well and I can agree with that, I think the Marlies team will develop those off ends on him

Nice to see a fan of another team enjoying Dangle! One of my friends is a huge Jets fan, and yet he still watches him just for entertainment purposes. Like another person mentioned here, it would be awesome if every NHL team had their own Dangle! Well, I mean, theoretically; he probably wouldn't be as unique anymore, but hopefully you know what I mean.
Also thought I'd add, I really like how the Flyers have been drafting in recent memory. You guys have some fantastic young players, like Hart, Provorov, Patrick, Konecny, Frost, Sandheim, O'Brien, Lindblom, Farabee, et cetera. Along with the likes of Giroux, Couturier, Gostisbehere, JVR, and others, you guys should be competitive for years to come. Really hope we can get that Leafs/Flyers rivalry going again, I remember it being pretty heated in the late '90s and early 2000's! That 2004 second-round series was a hard pill to swallow, haha.

Good call on Engvall. Loved him from his first game as a Marlie on. Really excited to see what he can do with a full season. Rosen was unbelievable in the playoffs (albiet so was every Marlie defenceman) and became probably my favorite guy on the team. Personally think his ceiling is higher than Borgman's but if the playoffs were an outlier for Rosen he's probably back in Sweden by 2020. Would also personally move Bracco down a tier and Moore up one. Fun video.

The one thing I would definitely change is Johnsson. I'd say eventhough he's only played 9 regular season NHL games, hes gonna be a Maple Leaf next season. But, if you think 9 games isn't enough and he still has to prove himself, I think he should be on tier 2 with "Timoth" for sure.
For Holl and the other "guys" might I suggest the "Journeyman Cube." It's like a garage behind the Prospect Pyramid that's been converted to an open-concept apartment.
Yeah, you pretty much nailed the issue with Subban. He can't play D, which tends to be a problem when that's your position. It's like having a goalie with a giant hole in his glove.

Nick I think he talked about this before in years prior that he doesn’t include goalies on these tiers… correct me if I’m wrong
eh he said he usually doesn't rate goalies but sure. he'd go somewhere in tier 5.
Thunder 2ray2 Yeah, he brought this up near the end. But he did mention all of the goalies (other than Woll, he forgot about him) and said that he doesn’t think any of them fit the 5 tiers.
What if he did a smaller pyramid, for goalies only?

Just watching this video now in October. I'm really happy to see 3 defenders in the first 3 tiers of the pyramid. If Dubas is successful in locking up all the big name forwards to big deals, that leaves the cap space limited for other positions. Having Dermott with the team on a cheap deal and then bringing up Liljegren and Sandin on cheap deals will be really important for the team. We are going to need cheap but talented defencemen to balance out the cap heavy forwards. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Leafs draft more defencemen at the top of the draft like they have the past three years (Dermott, Liljegren, and Sandin). Plus, Dubas works his magic by trading down to add extra picks and those extra picks become guys like Bracco, Grundstrom, and SDA....the depth forwards for the talent pool.
Great video as usual! Not sure I agree on goaltending. Joseph Woll imo belongs probably in tier 4. I think most everyone is pretty fairly placed.

Or does his lackluster ahl stats bump him to 3?) Guhle? (3?) Does Thompson still fit the pyramid after 40 nhl games last year?

Like D, goalies normally take longer to develop which is why I think Sparks is a 4. He's gonna make a solid backup for Freddie next season.

Holl, Bracco, Borgman, and Moore, these are the guys I think might make the team this year. I expect we'll see a lot of these guys soon in the pre-game schedule. Oh shit come on hockey, let's watch some Leafs games!

Don't get me wrong, I have high hopes for him, and I suspect with the Leaf's excellent development program he'll turn out to be a solid puck moving top 4 D, possibly a 1-2 after a few years of experience with the big club.

I like Borgman's style of play. Very physical player and we need a bit of that on the team, but I also agree though he was out of the play and caused some goals on the team.

I feel like he's just one of those few players that accelerates at the AHL and can't quite reach NHL tier, he's in that weird middle
I would put Johnsson up in tier 2. For the reason that you said in a lot of your videos and in the podcast. He does not belong in the AHL. He is an NHL player now (JVR replacement???). Just my opinion but I do wonder what you think about it.
