That sales person is not correct, Audi JM is not the only place that has the ability to retract the rear brake calipers. There are several scan tools and aftermarket VW Auto group software that can do that. We all know that they are protecting their warranty and income stream. Dealerships make their money on service as we all know. Keep up the good work and vibes in your videos. Subscriber fe life!

It depends on the year, for the newer cars the won’t be able to, you would literally have to have a Audi technician login and Audi oem scan tool

No need for a special tool(you can even use a vag com to Retract it aswell)

I have changed Audi BMW and VW brakes and they are expensive pads so these prices looks ok with dealer mark up, of course you can get youe own pads online cheaper, now for the service charge I thing for 50 grand Its a bit steep but diagonostics and to provide a lift for the car and dealers like to use brake cleaner, its a bit steep on labour cost but the parts are close. I have bought front oem pads for Mercedes S class on eBay for 185 usd and we dont check customs charges yet. Dealers hit hard.
