I really like the light-hearted, "let's give this a go" vibe of these presenters. They aren't sweating absolute fidelity. They're trying to get to the point where they can jam and experience something....and then they do with obvious joy. Makes it seem almost possible.
If ever there was need for an “underrated comment” moment, i’m locking in that very thing rfh, rfn
I did like the full-on approach of Matt and Rabea tho, for me they’re still the face of Sounds Like
This was definitely a challenge… but it was fun 😂 That bloody synth pedal! (…but i want one)
@@funk411 because its mental. Haha. We've had to lock it up in the pedal asylum before it did something dangerous. The world is safe. For now. :)
I love my mono synth pedal, the sub mode paired with a fuzz and octaver sounds like an Eldritch horror
Cici, you did a superb job ! Be proud . That bass looked so BIG against your little frame though. Can you reach the tuners?
Sounding like Muse is one of the hardest things ever. Doing it on a budget is insane.
If you listen to the first two albums, it's not that hard, then from Absolution and after it starts getting pretty complicated, the effects they use are not just random even if it sounds like it, they really think about what to use, I think that that's what makes it hard to get their sound.
This duo is brilliant for these videos. Super awesome chemistry and amazing playing!
Seen so many comments saying similar, but super gassed for Cici as a new presenter for this. Great player and great tone!
did rabea and matt leave or somethiing? been awhile since i've checked this channel.
I really like this pair doing "sound like..." Having the bass as well as the guitar adds to this and the two of them know their stuff
i like this duo cici and dave compliment each other very well, both very good players would love to see them do more metal and hard rock bands like judas priest and the Darkness and Queensrych
This was insanely well done considering how difficult it can be to nail these sounds
I know these were probably all recorded in a batch so we won't see changes for a while, but it would be nice to see what options were considered for the guitar rather than just "so we went for this one".
While I love this series is back, it doesn't have that "flavor" Matt and reaber brought to the table. No offense I love these two new folks, but I find them really "meh". I think replace the girl with reaber
@@jmabs5096 Who the fook is Reaber? lol. Would be silly to replace the bass player with another guitarist, these two are great as they are. They jam out the tracks nicely.
New "sound like" crew is growing on me. I'll always be partial to Matt and Rabea because they are how I discovered the channel, but glad to see Dave and Cici slowly making it their own.
These two….what’s taken the time getting them here? absolute revelation in presenting, dynamic and a laugh 😂
I'm so glad that this series is back, and these two are so fun and light-hearted! Looking forward to seeing more of these vids! ❤
Today I have learnt three things…
1. These guys get better and better every episode. 2. These two play top o the shelf. 3. Dav is thirsty. Excellent video!
Hysteria. Hell of a bass tone on that. Awesome
Oh yeah, that definitely sounded super close to Chris's original tone
So awesome to see the bass properly represented in these! Cici and Dave killing it!
Dave and Cici are super talented. And they are funny to boot! When I watch this, I feel like I'm in a room with friends. Can't beat that! Well done Anderton's for having these two represent.
CiCi and Dave are an awesome team who are so natural and talented... thank you both...
The TONES!!!!..... Fantastic playing Cici and Dave, this made my day, SO much fun!!!
This is great. Two insanely talented people having a blast and nailing it. Cici is a new star on the channel, very impressed.
I feel like both these guys are absolutely right as the next iteration of Sounds Like videos. Good players and super down to earth. Great fit for Anderton's videos.
PLEASE may we have more of these two. I HATE Muse but I was riveted all the way through by this charming pair.
That was astounding, left me in awe of you both. Brilliant Vid, Cici and Dave, thank you.
Great work folks - enjoyed that a lot.
Dave and Queeny are so talented and they truly love making music. Love these two!
A drink in each back pocket is impressive
These 2 make my day just a little more enjoyable. Funny, fantastic informative and what players. More please. Inspirational. Ps queenie is a hidden gem.
This was a VERY ambitious edition... and you both did very well. Congratz
Love these 2! More more please
There was a lot of, what seemed little, things I took for granted before the pandemic that I became nostalgic for. This is one of those things. Glad it is back and a new team which is doing a great job.
Never been a huge Muse fan but I could watch these two all day
Phenomenal performance from both of you! Great chemistry, real fun to watch!
Really really accurate!! Kudos to Cici and Dave!
Love love loved this one well done guys
I would say they did a good job getting these tones on a budget. Good work!
I beg for a Sounds like The Cure
Sounding like Muse is such a hard task and I've been waiting for this video. Well done with what you can, especially on a budget. Hope to see a breaking the bank version!
You nailed this one guys, congrats! Loved the Showbiz/Origin of Symmetry era of Muse, so thanks for shredding New Born. My first band Cave was named after their first single, and we even covered it on our first CD back in '99. Just about got away with it. Even attempting this Sounds Like is borderline insanity - no wonder you ended up with pencils up your noses and pants on your heads! Great job Dave & CiCi 👏
Wow! Bravo! and THANK you!
Great job you two! This was a difficult challenge.
Nice job Cici and Dave! Your videos are my favorite Andertons uploads. You guys bring so much lightheartedness and enthusiasm and brilliant sounds to the channel.
These two should do more of these!
CC's bass playing is outstanding, what a player. Why drop 'Queenie' or was it twin sister? Great Vid , Dave you are a brill guitarist.
Thank you so much :) Queenie is just Dave’s nickname for me haha!
I honestly couldn't agree more or have said it any better. Absolutely brilliant the pair of them.
Props to Cici for the in-depth knowledge of their studio and touring rigs! Why didn’t anyone mention the Zvex Fuzz Factory
Either too expensive for the sounds like or out of stock when they make these. That being said I would like to see them use one
Absolutely love these videos. Well done Captain for picking these two up.
That phaser on the stuff really was cool!
GREAT PLAYING both of you
My favorite ( favourite, fauvorite ?) British rock duo is getting even better. More please 🤘🇬🇧
That's a sterling effort guys! You took on the nigh impossible 👍✌️😊💜
Thanks Captain. Genius move to get CiCi and Dave. Fabulous video and the band will see it. CiCi and Dave are inspirational.
Very refreshing to see both of these players know their stuff and the gear they’re trying to emulate. Both sounded wildly impressive given the price points. Please do more together! 🙏
Absolutely cracking job guys!!
I don't know if I wanted any of that gear but I loved the demo so I won't ever miss the Dave & Cici Show whatever it is. Thanx guys it was a hoot!!!
Very fun watch. You can tell these two had a hell of a good time playing these songs. Really well done.
Missed this series so much
Loving Cici and Dave on these videos. The sounds like are real fun. They should get in a band together
These videos with you two are awesome! Totally fresh ideas!! 👍🏼🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Cici's such a vibe when she gets into the playing
Fantastic job! Love watching Dave and Cici play. The bass compressor makes a massive difference to the sound and that Pitch Fork Shifter Pedal was inspired.
Awesome pair of musicians 🤙🏻🤙🏻, loved it 😎
First time watching those two... wow. Hysteria really got my attention. Excellent vid!
Queenie nailed it!
Nailed it guys!! Awesome playing from the pair of you, such iconic bass lines on the OOS album, good job 👏👏👏
I love the dynamic between these two!
🦄🧛🏼♀️🧛🏻♂️🦄
I like these two human beings! They're adorable, quirky and funny! And they actually got really close to sounding Muse! 👍
Awesome breakdown, thanks
Always enjoyed Without Busting, but I have to say I am really enjoying the new version with Dave and Cici
I'm hooked on these two. Like youthful I playmates. Brilliant of Lee to bring them on the videos. I'm such a homer!
Great to hear status graphite getting a shout... Awesome things built in my home town!
I liked ur track selections for this video alot especially new born
Very, very good you two - some great playing and excellent sound sculpting. You're getting good at these!
Awesome! This is my favourite Sound Like so far with Dave and Cici such a hard band to sound like especially on a budget, love the Plug In Baby bass tone I'm a big fan of the earlier Muse songs. Keep rocking!
The best one yet, total chaos on a budget! Dave and Queenie rule!!
To be honest, I have never heard Muse before, but with Dave and Cici, it was a wonderful noise, great video! Thank you Anderton's for tapping these talents for these videos!!!
I liked the rule the old guys had of not using the katana because the katana is kinda an easy way out to get just about anything on a budget
to be fair, dave prefers getting all the sound from his pedals. Its way easier for some bloke with not much money and a cheap clean amp to get these sounds with inexpensive pedals
@@frankvanrijn964 I remember there was supposed to be a moratorium on using the DSL 40. The very next video, they used it and even talked about breaking their own rule.
Awesome!!! Loved it. Cheers from Brazil.
Had no idea how good the EHX pitchfork pedal is! Awesome. Also great playing by both!
again, its great!
Two great musicians well done to the both of you 👍👍
I love watching these two re-boot the series. This was definitely not an easy task to take on, so this was super impressive. I’d like to see them do Dinosaur Jr.!!!
Oh yeah, I'd like to see them take on Feel the Pain, Almost Ready, Little Fury Things and Sludge Feast
I'm not a fan of Muse but that didn't stop me watching and enjoying this from start to finish..!! .👏🎸🎸👏
this is like the best so far
Really congrats guys! You done a good job! You bring us that you were thinking to do, and think how to produce Muse sound so easly and show it to us…is a Big goal! Still thanks 🔝
My man really rockin the double drinks in the back pockets lol
These two are great in these Sound-likes, keep them coming! =)
Love seeing so many Dave videos. Keep em coming
Cici is amazing she should do all the bass demos for Andertons. ( Dave is ok too ) great chops, great insight and no ego 🤘
Loved this! Can we please have sound likes for the offsprring and/or Billy Talent please? Even those other two of whom we do not speak neevr did them.
get this... I've never got into muse, but hey, it`s dave and CiCi. I will watch anything with those two, and now I think.... I think I like Muse? Yes, I think I do!
That Engine Room is an awesome power supply..... In fact almost mandatory when using more than one pedal. After I got mine I was suddenly so much happier with my tone...
Goodbye saggy & earth-buzzy power
CiCi smashing that bass in the intro.. Awesome vid..👍🇦🇺
Finally!!!!!!!
Someone who actually does the intro for Hysteria right with the pick scarp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great insight into Muse sounds and loved the Plug in Baby cover
It would be great to see a sound like Billy Talent or The Offspring, even those other two never did either of them.
nice one guys! Cici you absolutely nailed that one!
Love seeing someone enjoying what their playing Cici clearly digging the bass groove. I would love to see, Blackmore era Deep Purple or early Rainbow, Nightwish and Lordi. Keep up the great work.
Would love to see an episode where Matt and Rebea join in and compete against these two in a challenge to see who can sound more like (insert band here)
Cc nailed that
You guys need to do blur/graham Coxon. It would be interesting to see his board on a budget.
I've always liked these "sound like" videos but the Mr Flibble t-shirt (well, hoodie) pushed this one over the top. Well done! (I built myself a Klon-like distortion pedal called the Mr Flibble.)
Also: Dave has always looked like a mad scientist. It wasn't until this video that I realized he actually is one.
I can't be the only person who's glad to see a proper bassist doing these, right? It gets me really excited for when/if they do more bands with standout bassists because that can be a huge part of the band's signature sound.
And she's so damn good.
CiCi is boss AF
i’ve been waiting for a bassist on sounds like for ages
Exactly, it makes me want to see more stuff off of that basis. Particularly The Police or Sting - it's quite fun to see big-budget, high-profile bands being emulated on a budget.
Definetely not!! Cici is a hell of a bass player.
